2. Descripcion de la tecnica relacionada [0002] Los metodos tradicionales han implicado la restauraci6n de la base de datos de Microsoft Exchange por completo incluso si el objetivo de la operaci6n era restaurar s6lo un unico objeto (mensaje de correo electr6nico). Dichos metodos tardan mas

Una aplicaci6n de cliente de correo electr6nico 810 se ilustra en el dispositivo informatico 802 y puede solicitar ver un mensaje de correo electr6nico a traves de un sistema de archivos instalados 812. De manera similar, una aplicaci6n de servidor de correo electr6nico
10 814 opera en el dispositivo informatico 804 e interactua con un sistema de archivos instalados 816. Los dispositivos informaticos 802 y 804 normalmente interactuan con el dispositivo informatico 806 a traves de la red 808 donde se accede a un m6dulo gestor 818 y un mapa principal 820 esta disponible para recuperar informaci6n mas detallada sobre la ubicaci6n de los mensajes en el sistema de gesti6n de datos y de

Si la aplicaci6n cliente de correo electr6nico 810 ha solicitado un correo electr6nico, el sistema de archivos instalados 812 puede interactuar con un almacenamiento en red 822 donde un m6dulo de medio 824 interactua con el medio de almacenamiento 826 para recuperar el mensaje de correo electr6nico deseado solicitado por la aplicaci6n de cliente de correo electr6nico 810.

Ademas, un m6dulo de medio 840 mostrado con lineas discontinuas puede estar disponible para

Tambien se muestra con lineas discontinuas una extensi6n de la red 830 donde el almacenamiento en red 822 puede incluir una conexi6n de alta velocidad con los dispositivos informaticos 802, 804 y 806. Claims (6)
- Reivindicaciones1. Un sistema de gesti6n de datos modulares y de almacenamiento (100) para desplegar un indice (404, 728, 730) de datos de correo electr6nico almacenados (218, 220, 320, 322) de un sistema informatico (202), el sistema de gesti6n de datos5 modulares y de almacenamiento (100) comprendiendo: medios de almacenamiento (206, 306) configurados para almacenar datos de correo electr6nico (218, 220, 320, 322), recibidos por un programa de correo electr6nico (204, 304), en el cual los datos de correo electr6nico almacenados se migran de un subconjunto de medios de almacenamiento (218, 320) a otro10 subconjunto de medios almacenamiento (220, 322) de acuerdo con una longitud de tiempo durante la cual los datos de correo electr6nico han sido almacenados; un indice (404, 728, 730) para indexar los datos de correo electr6nico almacenados en funci6n de una o mas fechas en las cuales se realizaron15 modificaciones a los datos de correo electr6nico almacenados y en funci6n de los medios de almacenamiento en los cuales estan almacenados los datos de correo electr6nico; una interfaz de variaci6n de tiempo (110, 210, 310) para recibir una fecha especificada por el usuario en la cual ver un estado pasado del programa de20 correo electr6nico, en el cual la fecha especificada esta especificada por un usuario por medio de un navegador de correo electr6nico (400), la interfaz de variaci6n de tiempo (110, 210, 310) estando tambien configurada para proporcionar la recuperaci6n, a partir de los medios de almacenamiento (206, 306), de una indicaci6n de los datos de correo electr6nico correspondientes al25 estado pasado del programa de correo electr6nico en la fecha especificada por el usuario, y la indicaci6n recuperada de los datos de correo electr6nico desplegados en el navegador de correo electr6nico (400) y que proporciona a un usuario una opci6n para acceder a informaci6n adicional (414, 512), si la hay, en relaci6n30 con los datos de correo electr6nico recuperados, los datos adicionales comprendiendo un historial de un mensaje de correo electr6nico seleccionado de la fecha especificada por el usuario.
- 2. El sistema de gesti6n de datos modulares y de almacenamiento de la reivindicaci6n 1 en el cual la indicaci6n recuperada de los datos de correo electr6nico que se35 despliegan en el navegador de correo electr6nico comprende un conjunto de carpetas de correo electr6nico que existian en la fecha especificada por el usuario, en el cual el conjunto de carpetas de correo electr6nico de una primera fecha posible especificada por el usuario es diferente al conjunto de carpetas de correo electr6nico de una segunda fecha posible especificada por el usuario.
- 3. El sistema de gesti6n de datos modulares y de almacenamiento (100) de la5 reivindicaci6n 1 en el cual se proporciona una vista l6gica (404, 414) de los datos recuperados de tal manera que s6lo se recupera una parte de los datos hasta que es solicitado especificamente por un usuario, la parte de los datos comprendiendo al menos uno del grupo consistiendo en: De, Para, �echa e informaci6n del Asunto.
- 4. El sistema de gesti6n de datos modulares y de almacenamiento (100) de la10 reivindicaci6n 1 en el cual el historial del mensaje de correo electr6nico seleccionado incluye una o mas de las fechas en que el mensaje fue leido por primera vez, reenviado o respondido.
- 5. El sistema de gesti6n de datos modulares y de almacenamiento (100) de la reivindicaci6n 1 tambien comprendiendo un m6dulo gestor de recuperaci6n (204) que15 tiene un mapa de almacenamiento principal y copia de seguridad (216) que se utiliza para dirigir el acceso a los datos del medio de almacenamiento (200) de tal manera que los datos se recuperan s6lo cuando lo solicita expresamente el usuario.
- 6. Un metodo para un sistema de gesti6n de almacenamiento (100) para desplegar un indice (404) de datos de correo electr6nico almacenados de un sistema informatico y 20 que permite a un usuario acceder a un estado de los datos de correo electr6nicoalmacenados en una fecha especificada por el usuario, el metodo comprendiendo: La recepci6n de datos de correo electr6nico desde un programa de correo electr6nico del sistema informatico (202); El almacenamiento de los datos de correo electr6nico en un medio de25 almacenamiento (104, 206, 306); La migraci6n de los datos de correo electr6nico almacenados desde un subconjunto de medios de almacenamiento (218, 320) a otro subconjunto de medios de almacenamiento (220, 322) de acuerdo con una longitud de tiempo durante la cual los datos de correo electr6nico han sido almacenados;30 La indexaci6n de los datos de correo electr6nico almacenados de acuerdo con la fecha en que se realizaron modificaciones en los datos de correo electr6nico y de acuerdo con los medios de almacenamiento en los cuales estan almacenados los datos de correo electr6nico; La recepci6n de una fecha especificada en la cual ver un estado pasado del35 programa de correo electr6nico, en el cual la fecha especificada esta especificada por un usuario a traves de un navegador de correo electr6nico (400); y La recuperaci6n de una indicaci6n de los datos de correo electr6nico almacenados que se corresponde con el estado pasado del programa de5 correo electr6nico en la fecha especificada, la indicaci6n recuperada de los datos de correo electr6nico desplegados en el navegador de correo electr6nico(400) y que incluye una opci6n para recuperar datos adicionales, si los hay, con respecto a los datos de correo electr6nico recuperados, los datos adicionales comprendiendo un historial de un mensaje de correo electr6nico seleccionado.10 7. El metodo de la reivindicaci6n 6 tambien comprendiendo la selecci6n de la opci6n de recuperaci6n de los datos adicionales para asi recuperar el historial del mensaje de correo electr6nico seleccionado.
