LA INVENCION SE REFIERE A NUEVAS COMPOSICIONES A BASE DE UN OXIDO MIXTO DE CERIO Y DE CIRCONIO (SOLUCIONES SOLIDAS), QUE TIENEN SUPERFICIES ESPECIFICAS MUY ELEVADAS, ES DECIR, AL MENOS SUPERIORES A 80 M2/G Y, PREFERENTEMENTE, DE, AL MENOS, 100 M2/G O INCLUSO 150 M2/G, SIENDO ADEMAS LAS CITADAS SUPERFICIES ESTABLES TERMICAMENTE. LAS CANTIDADES DE CIRCONIO EN SOLUCION SOLIDA EN EL OXIDO DE CERIO PUEDEN SER MUY IMPORTANTES, POR EJEMPLO ESTAR COMPRENDIDAS ENTRE 1 Y 60% ATOMICO.
