  • hubcaps For aesthetic reasons, many vehicles, whatever their use, are equipped with hubcaps. These elements hide the hub and the fasteners of the rim and the rim itself, most of these rims being quite unsightly for reasons of cost. While remaining easily removable, the hubcaps can also provide protection of the fastening elements of the rim of the wheel against the weather and various projections. Fasteners are less attacked by corrosion and do not come into contact with their housing, so they can be removed if necessary.

  • the caps 28 have a substantially cylindrical body and have fastening means 34, such as those illustrated on the cap 28 shown in section in Figure IB.
  • These fixing means 34 comprise holes 36, of diameter substantially equal to that of the body 38 of the cap 28, provided in the hubcap 22 opposite each fastening screw 20 for the passage of said bodies 38.
