Definitions

  • This invention relates to an elevator apparatus as defined in claim 7 in which the operation mode is switched to an on-car maintenance operation mode at the time of maintenance operation on the car and to a car movement regulating device as defined in claim 1 used in the elevator apparatus and adapted to mechanically regulate the car movement during maintenance operation on the car.
  • Fig. 7 is a plan view showing the car movement regulating device of a conventional elevator apparatus disclosed, for example, in JP 2000-203774 A
  • Fig. 8 is a front view showing the car movement regulating device of Fig. 7.
  • a hoistway 1 in a hoistway 1, there are installed a pair of guide rails 3 for guiding the ascent and descent of a car 2.
  • Fixed to each guide rail 3 is a stationary plate 4 having an engagement hole 4a.
  • a bracket 6 is mounted to an upper beam 5 of the car 2.
  • a lock bar 7 is supported by the bracket 6.
  • the lock bar 7 is linearly reciprocated through manual operation between an engagement position (indicated by the broken line in the drawing) where its forward end portion is inserted into the engagement hole 4a and an accommodating position (indicated by the solid line in the drawing) where it is retracted to a position on the car 2.
  • An operating lever 8 for manually operating the lock bar 7 is mounted to the lock bar 7.
  • a retaining plate 9 for retaining the lock bar 7 at the engagement position and the accommodating position.
  • first and second grooves 9a and 9b are provided in the retaining plate 9 into which the operating lever 8 is inserted, respectively when the lock bar 7 is at the engagement position and at the accommodating position.
  • a limit switch 10 mounted to the bracket 6 is a limit switch 10 to be closed when the lock bar 7 is at the accommodating position.
  • An operating portion 10a of the limit switch 10 is operated by the rear end portion of the lock bar 7.
  • a hoist 11 for raising and lowering the car 2 is controlled by a control unit 12.
  • a control unit 12 there is provided a power circuit 13 for supplying power to the hoist 11.
  • the limit switch 10 is connected to the power circuit 13. When the limit switch 10 is closed, the power circuit 13 is in the ON state, and when the limit switch 10 is open, the power circuit 13 is in the OFF state.
  • the limit switch 10 only detects whether the lock bar 7 is at the accommodating position or not; it is impossible for it to detect whether the lock bar 7 has been appropriately moved to the engagement position, that is, whether the forward end portion of the lock bar 7 has been surely inserted into the engagement hole 4a. Further, it is impossible to detect that the forward end portion of the lock bar 7 is somewhere between the accommodating position and the engagement position. Thus, when the lock bar 7 is not at the accommodating position, it is only possible to perform a simple control to prevent the hoist 11 from being driven.
  • the hoist 11 can be driven with the lock bar 7 somewhere between the two positions, so that the lock bar 7 may interfere with an apparatus in the hoistway 1, thereby damaging the apparatus.
  • This invention has been made with a view toward solving the above problems in the prior art. It is an object of this invention to provide an elevator apparatus in which it is possible to perform finer control according to the position of a movable member for regulating the movement of the car to thereby achieve an improvement in operability in the maintenance operation on the car and a car movement regulating device thereof.
  • a car movement regulating device for an elevator apparatus which is used in an elevator apparatus equipped with a car ascending and descending in a hoistway, a driving device for raising and lowering the car, and a control device for controlling the driving device and which serves to mechanically regulate movement of the car during maintenance operation on the car

  • step S3 When it is confirmed that the arm 23 is at the accommodating position, a judgment is made as to whether the arm 23 is at the engagement position (step S3). Normally, when the arm 23 is at the accommodating position, the second switch 27 is open, so that it is confirmed that the arm 23 is not at the engagement position, making it possible to operate the car 22 (step S4).
  • step S5 when it is detected that the arm 23 is at the engagement position although it has been detected that the arm 23 is at the accommodating position, it is determined that failure has occurred in the switch device 28, and an error detection signal is output (step S5).
  • both the first and second switches 26 and 27 are closed even if the arm 23 is at the accommodating position. In such a case, an error detection signal is output, and the switch device 28 is repaired or replaced by the operator.
  • Fig. 6 is a flowchart illustrating the operation of the control device 30 of Fig. 1 in the on-car maintenance operation mode.
  • the on-car maintenance operation mode it is first checked whether the arm 23 is at the accommodating position (step S1). When it is confirmed that the arm 23 is at the accommodating position, a judgment is made as to whether the arm 23 is at the engagement position (step S3).
  • step S4 When it is confirmed that the arm 23 is not at the engagement position, it is determined that the arm 23 is at the accommodating position and that there is no abnormality in the switch 28, making it possible to operate the car 22 (step S4). Thus, even in the on-car maintenance operation mode, when the arm 23 is at the accommodating position, it is possible to operate the car 22, and the can 22 can be moved to a predetermined maintenance position.
  • step S5 When it is detected that the arm 23 is at both the accommodating position and the engagement position, it is determined that the switch device 28 is out of order, and an error detection signal is output (step S5).
  • step S6 a judgment is made as to whether the arm 23 is at the engagement position.
  • step S7 it is determined that the arm 23 is at the halfway position, and the operation of the car 22 is prohibited.
  • the operation of the car 22 is prohibited while the arm 23 is being operated and in the state in which the arm 23 is not appropriately engaged with the engagement plate 21.
  • the car 22 is not raised or lowered.
  • step S8 When it is detected that the arm 23 is not at the accommodating position but at the engagement position, the operation of the car 22 is prohibited, and a release command signal for the brake device of the driving device 29 is made ready to be output (step S8), whereby the brake device can be released, and maintenance operation can be conducted with the brake device released. Further, as described above, when the bypass switch and the on-car operation switch are simultaneously operated, the car 22 can be operated at low speed.
  • this car movement regulating device for an elevator apparatus it is possible to detect by means of the switch device 28 which of the three positions: the accommodating position, the engagement position, and the halfway position, the arm 23 is placed at, so that it is possible to conduct finer control according to the position of the arm 23, whereby it is possible to achieve an improvement in the operability of maintenance operations on the car.
