For this are a dryer, a cooler, a winder and a cross cutter arranged one behind the other. The device is for an automatic Feeding the paper webs and for an automatic change of Not suitable for winding on cross cuts or vice versa.
- the beginning of a paper web which is for example 3m wide and moves at a speed of 50m / min moved, pulled through the dryer and the cooler with a pull-in device and received by operators behind the cooler.
- the front part of the track about 10-20m, does not yet have the desired properties, since the operating parameters of the dryer have not yet stabilized. It is therefore separated and initially placed on the floor as waste.
- the new The beginning of the web is fed by hand either to the winder or to the cross cutter. As a rule, it is not particularly difficult for experienced personnel Place the beginning of the web at the winder dome in standby and to start the wrapping process. But great skill requires feeding to the cross cutter because the winder is an obstacle in the way.
- DE 29 20 329 C3 describes a device for pulling in a web into a float dryer, in which a cross bar equipped with holding means is attached to its End connected with endless traction devices such as chains, ropes or bands which are guided synchronously with the paper web on both sides.

- the chains 48 pass through the dryer 1 and the cooler 2 and accompany them the conveyor up to the pair of rollers 64, 65. Located at this point a fork.
- the chains 48 run over sprockets 50, 51, 52 for Dryer 1 back.
- the start of a paper web 54 As in the system according to Figure 1- before the inlet of the dryer 1 on the crossbar 49 attached and with the chains 48 through the entire dryer 1 and Radiator 2 pulled.
- the roller 65 which was previously lifted, is pressed against the guide roller 64, so that the paper web is kept taut.
- the chains 48 are stopped as soon as the Cross bar 49 is located in a suitable location, and the still attached Pieces of paper web 54 are removed when the opportunity arises.
- the rollers 62, 63 now pull the paper web.
- the new headboard created by the cut runs through the nip of the pair of rollers 64, 65 and initially lies on the conveyor table 70 and then onto the conveyor table 74.
- the two conveyor tables 70, 74 are in their active position. The paper gets into the gap between the conveyor table 75 and the belt conveyor 39 in the passive position, see above that it falls on the floor
- the rotary knife 32 When the operating parameters of the dryer 1 have stabilized, the rotary knife 32 pressed again. The leading, not yet the quality requirements sufficient track section is increased by the pair of rollers 66, 67 pulled through and transported further into the open gap. Once the Beginning of the trailing paper web, the quality characteristics of which are now stabilizing have reached the pair of rollers 66, 67, the paper web is tightened, so that it affects the guide roller 15 of the winder 3 from below. By means of the elastic Driving the rollers 66, 67, the web tension is kept constant.
- the Conveyor table 70 brought into its inactive position so that the paper web between the pairs of rollers 64, 65 on the one hand and the guide roller 15 on the other Tension passes through unsupported. Then the arm 35 is pivoted downwards, so that he first touches the paper web 54 and then to the one Adhesive tape provided wrap sleeve that presses on the already rotating Winding mandrel 10 sits. The front end of the paper web is with the on the Swivel arm 35 attached knife separated and by means of the conveyor table 74 deducted from the pair of rollers 66, 67. Subsequently, the conveyor table 74 in his inactive position lowered so that it builds up the winding on the winding mandrel 10 is not in the way.
- the procedure is as follows Before: After the paper web is cut and the cross bar 49 with the attached flag has passed roller 64, the beginning of the next comes Paper web first in the nip of the pair of rollers 64, 65 and then via the conveyor tables 70, 74 in the active position to the pair of rollers 66, 67. From there, the paper is first removed. If the operator determines that the quality of the paper is OK, the rotary knife 32 pressed again. The cut piece of front paper is removed. As soon as has passed the roller pair 66, 67 at its rear end, the belt conveyor 39 in his active position swiveled so that he almost completely on the conveyor table 74 connects. The paper web now runs into the nip of the feed roller pair 18 the cross cutter 4.
- the change from winding operation to cross cutting operation is possible as follows: without interrupting the paper feed to the system.
- the winding star 8 When the winding located on the winding mandrel 10 is almost its predetermined Has reached diameter, the winding star 8 is rotated until the winding mandrel 11 Has reached change position.
- the winding star 8 pivots the almost finished winding a spatial area, the envelope surface in Figure 2 is illustrated by a dashed line 81.
- the empty mandrel 11 moves likewise within a semi-cylindrical envelope surface 82.
- the conveyor tables 70, 74 and the swivel arm 35 are located outside the work area thus delimited and therefore do not hinder the pivoting.
- the almost finished wrap whose The lateral surface is indicated by the dash-dotted line 59, rotates first further.
- the conveyor tables 70, 74 are brought into their active position.
- the Paper web 54 which continues to run towards the almost finished roll, is turned with the rotary knife 32 separated.
- the finished wrap is now braked and can Winding mandrel can be removed.
- the new head end of the paper web is over the conveyor tables 70, 74 and the also brought into its active position Belt conveyor 39 fed to the cross cutter 4.
- the reverse switch is also very easy. While the paper web 54 the cross cutter 4 runs and the conveyor table 70 in its inactive position is located, the arm 35 is actuated so that the web by the pressure roller 36th is pressed onto the rotating sleeve provided with an adhesive strip, which is on the mandrel 10. The paper web becomes practically simultaneous separated by the cutting device connected to the arm 35. The conveyor table 71 is now lowered so that it does not imitate the growing new winding Way stands.
