- the beginning of a paper web which is for example 3m wide and moves at a speed of 50m / min moved, pulled through the dryer and the cooler with a pull-in device and received by operators behind the cooler.
- the the front part of the track about 10-20m, does not yet have the desired properties, since the operating parameters of the dryer have not yet stabilized. It is therefore separated and initially placed on the floor as waste.
- the new The beginning of the web is fed by hand either to the winder or the cross cutter. As a rule, it is not particularly difficult for experienced personnel Place the beginning of the web on the standby of a winder and to start the wrapping process. But great skill requires feeding to the cross cutter because the winder is an obstacle in the way.
- DE 29 20 329 C3 describes a device for pulling in a web into a float dryer, in which a cross bar equipped with holding means is attached to its Ends are connected with endless traction means, such as chains, ropes or belts, which are guided synchronously with the paper web on both sides.
- the retractor also serves to pass the paper web behind the dryer around several rollers to feed a non-stop winder. This is on both sides with one pivotable winding star, consisting essentially of one two-armed, almost horizontal beams in operation, with bearings at the ends for each winding mandrel, and two aligned at right angles to the carrier Booms on which guide rollers are mounted.
- chains in the illustrated embodiment are coaxial to the Rollers, the winding mandrels and the guide rollers on both sides sprockets stored.
- the chains therefore accompany the paper web beyond the dryer to the winding mandrel, which is adjacent to the dryer, then loop around the winding star and become under the winder and dryer to the entrance of the dryer returned.
- one Exchange device provided, consisting essentially of a swivel arm with a pressure roller and a knife shaft.
- the invention is based, one of the preamble of claim 1 to create appropriate system in which the feeding of the beginning of the web to Winder and especially to cross cutter as well as the change of winding operation is largely mechanized for cross cutting operation and vice versa to ensure a safe handover, to relieve the operating personnel and reduce the amount of waste generated.

In the case of the mostly used winder, which is equipped with devices for the automatic winding change, the working area also includes the area that a finished winder is made of of a winding change, and also the area through which a winding mandrel passes, which is intended for the take-up of the following winding ..
- the inactive positions of the conveyor tables 70, 74 are selected such that the conveyor tables 70, 74 are outside the work area Position does not prevent the structure of the reel and the reel change. Concrete explanations for this can be found below in connection with the description of a change process.
- the conveyor tables are 70 and / or 74 trained as so-called floating tables.
- a hover table is here understood a conveyor, in which a substantially horizontal Direction of the paper web by blowing on one side from below in the Is suspended.
- a description of such a floating table can be found for example in DE-OS 19 07 083.
- the floating table is characterized by a flat Air box formed, which is connected to the pressure side of a blower. Its upper, horizontal boundary wall illustrated in FIG. 3 is included provided numerous grid openings 77 distributed like a grid. Every blow opening is produced by an arcuate die cut. The arch encloses one semicircular tongue 78. Radially outside the arc is in the flat boundary wall indented a truncated cone-like depression.
- the conveyor tables are simple provided flat, preferably slightly inclined sheets in the direction of flow, which are preferably coated with a friction-reducing plastic.
- FIG. 2 a pull-in device with two laterally guided traction means, preferably chains 48, provided.
- the ends of a crossbar 49 are on the two chains 48 attached.
- the chains 48 pass through the dryer 1 and the cooler 2 and accompany them the conveyor up to the pair of rollers 64, 65. Located at this point a fork.
- the chains 48 run over chain wheels 50, 51, 52 to the dryer 1 back.
- the start of a paper web 54 becomes as in the case of System attached to the cross bar 49 before the inlet of the dryer 1 and pulled with the chains 48 through the entire dryer 1 and the cooler 2.
- the roller 65 which was previously lifted, pressed against the guide roller 64 so that the paper web is kept taut.
- the chains 48 are stopped as soon as the cross bar 49 comes on a suitable location, and the piece of paper web still attached to it 54 will be eliminated on the appropriate occasion.
- the rollers 62, 63 are now pulling the paper web.
- the new head end created by the cut runs through the Gap of the pair of rollers 64, 65 and initially lies on the conveyor table 70 and then on the conveyor table 74.
- the two conveyor tables 70, 74 are located in their active position. The paper gets into the gap between the conveyor table 75 and the belt conveyor 39 in the passive position, so that it is on the Floor falls.
- the rotary knife 32 When the operating parameters of the dryer 1 have stabilized, the rotary knife 32 pressed again. The leading, not yet the quality requirements sufficient track section is increased by the pair of rollers 66, 67 pulled through and transported further into the open gap. Once the Beginning of the trailing paper web, the quality characteristics of which are now stabilizing have reached the pair of rollers 66, 67, the paper web is tightened so that it affects the guide roller 15 of the winder 3 from below. By means of the elastic Driving the rollers 66, 67, the web tension is kept constant.
- the Conveyor table 70 brought into its inactive position so that the paper web between the roller pairs 64, 65 on the one hand and the guide roller 15 on the other Tension passes through unsupported. Then the arm 35 is pivoted downwards so that he first touches the paper web 54 and then to the with an adhesive strip provided winding sleeve presses on the already rotating winding mandrel 10 sits. The front end of the paper web is with the on the swivel arm 35 attached knife separated and on the conveyor table 74 by means of the pair of rollers 66, 67 deducted. The conveyor table 74 then becomes inactive Lowered position so that it builds the winding on the mandrel 10th is not in the way.
- the procedure is as follows Before: After the paper web is cut and the cross bar 49 with the attached flag has passed roller 64, the beginning of the next comes Paper web first in the nip of the pair of rollers 64, 65 and then via the conveyor tables 70, 74 in the active position to the pair of rollers 66, 67. From there, the paper is first removed. If the operator determines that the quality of the paper is OK, the rotary knife 32 pressed again. The cut piece of front paper is removed. As soon as has passed the roller pair 66, 67 at its rear end, the belt conveyor 39 in its active position swiveled so that it is almost completely on the conveyor table 74 connects. The paper web now runs into the nip of the pair of feed rollers 18 the cross cutter 4.
- the change from winding operation to cross cutting operation is possible as follows: without interrupting the paper feed to the system.
- the winding star 8 When the winding located on the winding mandrel 10 is almost its predetermined Has reached diameter, the winding star 8 is rotated until the mandrel 11 Has reached change position.
- the envelope surface in Figure 2 by dashed line 81 is illustrated.
- the empty mandrel 11 moves likewise within a semi-cylindrical envelope surface 82.
- the conveyor tables 70, 74 and the swivel arm 35 are located outside the work area thus delimited and therefore do not hinder the pivoting.
- the almost finished wrap whose The lateral surface is indicated by the dash-dotted line 59, rotates first further.
- the conveyor tables 70, 74 are brought into their active position.
- the Paper web 54 which continues to run towards the almost finished roll, is turned with the rotary knife 32 separated.
- the finished wrap is now braked and can Winding mandrel can be removed.
- the new head end of the paper web is over the Conveying tables 70, 74 and the belt conveyor which has also been brought into its active position 39 fed to the cross cutter 4.
- the reverse change is also very easy. While the paper web 54 the cross cutter 4 runs and the conveyor table 70 in its inactive position is located, the arm 35 is operated so that the web by the pressure roller 36 to the rotating sleeve with an adhesive tape is pressed, which is on the mandrel 10 is located. Practically at the same time, the paper web with the the cutting device connected to the arm 35. The conveyor table 71 is now lowered so that it does not stand in the way of the growing new wrap.
