Definitions

  • the invention relates to a method and a device for filling or stuffing cigarette paper tubes with tobacco according to the preamble of claim 1 and of claim 2.
  • a tobacco product consisting of a tobacco portion adapted to tobacco filling of a finished cigarette, the surface of which is made of a casing of material that can be consumed entirely by smoking.
  • the envelope being so air permeable that the tobacco portion as such is not smokable like a cigarette.
  • a conventional cigarette paper sheet should be wrapped around and glued in a manner known per se to produce a smokable cigarette.
  • the tobacco supply can be transferred from the compression chamber into the cigarette tube (cf., for example, DE 2 833 681).
  • These known stuffing devices have proven more or less well in practice. However, they have the disadvantage that when filling the compression chamber a certain contamination of the user's hands and the environment with tobacco residues or crumbs can not be avoided, which is perceived as disturbing and the user often from the use of such Device stops.
  • the manual filling always a constant degree of filling of the compression chamber and thus the cigarette tube is not possible. Therefore, the self-stuffed cigarettes are characterized by different smoking behavior, namely different train, taste and different lengths of smoking duration. In this respect, the stuffed cigarette behaves much like the homemade cigarette. Also, the pollutant content of the conventionally self-stuffed or self-rotated cigarette is very different and uncontrolled according to the different degrees of filling of the cigarette tube.
  • This tobacco product is suitable both for use in conjunction with conventional self-puff cigarette tubes and in conjunction with conventional self-rotating cigarette paper leaflets.
  • the consumer is a precisely metered, namely the amount of a conventional, industrial consumer cigarette corresponding amount of tobacco provided in the form of a cigarette tobacco cartridge, the tobacco filling in a prefabricated cigarette tube commercially available type can be transferred.
  • the latter proposal is a very considerable improvement over the cited prior art, it can not be overlooked that the handling of the associated device requires a relatively high level of skill. Above all, it is necessary to introduce the Aufstecktülle at one end of the tobacco-filled strand casing in this.
  • DE 91 04 814 U describes a device for self-manufacture by the consumer with a receiving space for receiving a cigarette paper tube, in particular a filter cigarette paper tube.
  • a piston is used to transfer a tobacco rod from a strand casing into the cigarette paper tube.
  • On the inner surface of the receiving space clamping members are provided which have anti-slip surfaces, so that the strand casing is held immovably when transferring the tobacco rod into the cigarette paper tube.
  • a tobacco-filled strand casing is first inserted into a prefabricated cigarette paper tube so that a portion of the strand casing still protrudes from the cigarette paper sleeve. Subsequently, the cigarette paper tube together with the strand casing is inserted into the device, so that the protruding end of the strand casing is held immovably on the inner surface of the receiving space of the .Vorraum. The tobacco filling is then pushed out of the extruded casing with the aid of the piston, whereby the tobacco abuts the end of the cigarette paper tube, which is defined here by a filter piece, and the cigarette paper tube is thus displaced axially. The strand casing is thus pulled out of the cigarette paper tube so that the tobacco already inside the cigarette paper tube remains in the cigarette paper tube.
  • the object of the invention is to provide a method and an apparatus which represent an improvement of the latter system both in terms of handling and in terms of quality of tobacco transferred into the cigarette paper tube.
  • the inventive measures it is no longer necessary to introduce a Aufstecktülle on one end face in the tobacco-filled strand casing.
  • the method according to the invention coincides with the conventional stuffing of cigarettes using the conventional stuffing devices.
  • each cigarette produced by the method according to the invention or using the device according to the invention is equally designed with regard to tobacco filling, smoking behavior, taste and pollutant content.
  • FIGS. 1 to 5 show a first embodiment of a device 10 for filling or stuffing a cigarette paper tube (not shown) with tobacco.
  • This device comprises a housing with a lower and an upper housing part 14 and 12, respectively.
  • the two housing parts 12, 14 are hingedly connected to one another on one side.
  • the hinge joint is indicated by the reference numeral 64. Accordingly, the two housing parts 12, 14 can be folded apart (FIG. 1) and together (FIG. 2). In the folded state, the two housing parts 12 and 14 lie exactly on one another and form a block-shaped block (FIGS. 2a and 2b).
  • a resiliently biased locking tab 18 is arranged, which cooperates in the folded state with a formed on the lower housing part 14 recess 20 so that in the collapsed state of the housing 11, both housing parts 12, 14 in this state being held.
  • each longitudinal groove 22 which are separated by longitudinal webs.
  • the longitudinal grooves 22 each extend parallel to the hinge axis 64 and each have a semicircular cross-section.
  • Each longitudinal groove 22 on the inside of the lower housing part 14 is associated with a longitudinal groove 22 on the inside of the upper housing part 12. The same applies to the arranged between the longitudinal grooves 22 longitudinal webs. If the two housing parts 12 and 14 folded together, so form each two mutually facing longitudinal grooves 22 a receiving space 23 with approximately circular Cross-section.
  • the inner diameter of each receiving space 23 is approximately equal to, slightly larger or slightly smaller than the outer diameter of a tobacco-filled strand casing 150.
  • the strand casing 150 contains a quantity of tobacco corresponding to the amount of tobacco of a conventional cigarette.
  • the inner diameter of the strand casing 150 corresponds approximately to the inner diameter of the tobacco receiving space of a prefabricated cigarette paper tube. Accordingly, can be converted from the strand casing 150 of the tobacco or tobacco rod substantially without change in diameter in the tobacco receiving space of an associated cigarette paper tube.
  • the length of the strand casing 150 or of the tobacco rod held together by it may be equal to or preferably slightly greater than the length of the tobacco receiving space of the associated cigarette paper tube.
  • the strand casing 150 may consist of either smokable or non-smokable material. In any case, the strand casing must be so permeable to air, for example perforated, that the tobacco rod outside of a cigarette paper tube is not smokable.
  • the housing 11 In the unfolded state of the housing 11 can be inserted into the longitudinal grooves 22 of the lower housing part 14 filled tobacco tobacco casings 150. After all or part of the longitudinal grooves 22 of the lower housing part are filled with a tobacco-filled strand casing 150, the housing 11 is folded. In this state, a support of the strand casings 150 takes place on the inner walls of the respectively associated longitudinal grooves 22 and of the receiving spaces 23 formed in each case by two longitudinal grooves assigned to one another. For better retention of the strand casings 150 within the receiving spaces 23 formed by the longitudinal grooves 22, the surfaces of the longitudinal grooves 22 may be roughened. The front side, the receiving spaces 23 formed by the longitudinal grooves 22 as well as the strand casings 150 are open.
