Definitions

  • the invention relates to a container for tubular or rod-shaped workpieces, preferably for workpiece lengths of 150-1500 mm.
  • Containers with fixed dimensions such as lattice boxes, are usually used as containers for tubular and rod-shaped workpieces.
  • the disadvantage of such containers with fixed dimensions is that they do not fit for different workpiece lengths. If not carefully loaded, the workpieces roll back and forth during transport, which can damage them. Loading and unloading is unfavorably carried out from above via the container rim. The empties transport takes up a lot of space.
  • Containers with fixed dimensions such as lattice boxes are also not suitable for loading or unloading by means of a workpiece magazine according to DE-PS 34 20 014 with at least one pair of carrying straps passing underneath the workpieces, each forming an upwardly open belt loop, since the carrying straps do not engage - Can be deployed and the workpieces with different lengths are not guided on the front.
  • the described, length-adjustable container is complex in its construction and prone to failure with rough handling.
  • a packaging for bundles of glass tubes is known from DE-GM 79 26 752, comprising two identical rectangular caps made of pressed plastic, which hold the ends of the glass tube bundle with their inner surface.
  • band-shaped clamping elements in the form of a closed ring are provided, which can be placed around the two end caps under tension.
  • packaging is foreign to a transport container that can be used and loaded and unloaded for different workpieces.
  • FR-A-2 192 538 discloses a transport packaging according to the preamble of claim 1, which is wrapped around a previously formed workpiece stack of plate-shaped workpieces and then clamped.
  • the plates are stacked flat on a suitable base, after which the U-shaped side parts of the transport packaging are placed over the side edges of the plate stack with the feet attached to them.
  • straps are stretched around the stack of plates packed in this way.
  • the structure is placed against a rear wall in order to prevent it from falling over. Then the straps are released and the U-shaped side parts of the transport packaging are pulled off the side of the plate stack and from the feet. The stack of plates then rests on the feet, from which the plates can then be removed individually.
  • the invention has for its object to provide a container suitable for different workpiece lengths, which is inexpensive to manufacture, inexpensive to use and offers the best possible protection for the stored workpieces.
  • the container is composed of two container frame parts encompassing the workpieces on the front side.
  • the two container frame parts are identical in shape and design. They have the shape of a half-shell with an essentially flat shell bottom and a peripheral shell edge that is open at the top. Feet are formed on the bottom edge opposite the open shell edge.
  • the container elements are held together by length-adjustable connecting links, which are tension belts or ropes, turnbuckles or the like, which are fastened to holding means, such as brackets, eyelets, bolts, noses or the like, arranged on the side shell edges.
  • the container frame parts are expediently made in an impact and scratch-resistant plastic, but production in metal is also possible.
  • the bottom of the shell is appropriately ribbed diagonally or stiffened in another suitable manner.
  • a container constructed from container frame parts according to the invention is extremely simple and inexpensive to manufacture. All container frame parts are identical in shape and design, regardless of the workpiece lengths. The container frame parts are light in weight and, when made of plastic, they are quiet to handle. The container frame parts offer the best possible protection of the workpieces during transport, since the workpieces are stored without play. By nesting the empty container frame parts results there is little space required for the transport of empties. Appropriate training of the feet on the container frame parts makes it possible to stack filled and tensioned containers either horizontally or - with the same workpiece lengths - standing.
  • Loading and unloading can be done manually.
  • loading and unloading by means of the workpiece magazine according to DE-PS 34 20 014 is also possible, in which the container elements can be fixed by means of locking cams.
  • Conventional stacking devices can be used for transport.
  • Shaped or attached eyelets are used for transport by crane.
  • a complete container is composed of two container frame parts 1, 1 'which are identical in shape and design. Every container frame part 1, 1 'is designed as a half-shell with an essentially flat shell base 2, 2' and a shell edge 3, 3 'which is open on one side, ie upwards. The height h of the shell edge 3, 3 'is at most half the size of the smallest length of workpieces 10 to be stored.
  • FIGS. 1 and 3 (above), a belt 112 is provided as the tensioning device, which is pulled through brackets 110, 111 arranged on the container half-shells and is guided and tensioned by a tension lock 113. It is also conceivable to hook the strap 112 on lugs which are formed on the side edges of the container half-shells, or to provide the strap without a turnbuckle and simply knot it.
  • a turnbuckle 103 is provided as the tensioning device.
  • the two threaded rods 100 and 107 of this turnbuckle 103 are suspended via eyes 101 and 106 in bolts 102 and 105 which protrude from the side edges of the container half-shells 1, 1 '.
  • Different workpiece lengths corresponding to the length of the threaded rods 100, 107 can be stored.
  • Other rod designs are also possible, for example with detents.
  • At least one tensioning device is provided on each side of the container.
  • a tensioning band 11 can be provided for clamping across the workpieces 10 clamped between the two container frame parts 1, 1' on the end face be.
  • feet 12 protrude from the bottom edge 7 of the half-shells, which feet are designed such that they engage behind the shell side edges 3 and the shell bottom 2 when stacked together with workpieces of the same length and a stacking against each other is shifted Prevent containers.
  • the loading and unloading of the container frame parts 1, 1 ' can be carried out by means of the workpiece magazine according to DE-PS 34 20 014, as shown in FIGS. 4 and 5.
  • latching cams 31 provided on the side, for example in tabs 33 connected to the guide walls 32 of the workpiece magazine.
  • the container frame parts 1, 1 ' are filled from above via the workpiece magazine, as described in detail in DE-PS 34 20 014.
  • the two risers 35, 36 are further lowered until they lie on the floor or in floor depressions (FIG. 5).
  • the tensioning devices 112, 103 (FIGS. 1-3) are then tensioned in order to hold the container together.
  • the complete container package can now be lifted out using the risers, for example with a forklift.
  • the container snaps out of the upper tabs 33 and the lower fixings 34, as shown in broken lines.
  • Unloading is carried out in the opposite way to loading. After the cams 31 and the feet 12 have engaged, the tensioning devices acting on the lateral shell edges are released and the unloading process by means of the carrying straps 35, 36 can begin.
