Definitions

  • Claim 1 is a bracelet, in particular a watch strap, with an exchangeably arranged leather strap which extends with its edge sections into U-shaped brackets of the bracelet, which are connected to one another by webs (see for example CH-A-325212 ).
  • watch straps which consist of metal such as steel or gold or of a fabric or of leather and of a combination of these substances.
  • these watch straps are designed in such a way that their external condition cannot be changed and thus they cannot be adapted to changing tastes.
  • a bangle is known, the external nature of which can be changed by replacing an interchangeably arranged one Leather strap.
  • the laterally arranged, approximately U-shaped guides for the side edges of the leather strap are connected to one another by a rigid base, which can be provided with windows.
  • a bangle is made of gold, for example, the material required to hold the leather strap is comparatively large, with the fact that the bottom supporting the strap is not visible to the viewer.
  • such a bangle is not suitable for holding a watch because it has to be placed over the hand on the forearm or on the wrist and consequently must have such a large diameter that the watch can twist on the wrist.
  • stiff bangle sections in accordance with CH-A-325 212, which shows an arrangement in which the two lateral U-shaped guides for an interchangeable band are connected to one another by a continuous bottom and are consequently stiff.
  • the object of the invention is to provide a flexible bracelet, in particular a watch strap, which can be adapted to different tastes in shape and color by the interchangeability of an essential component that gives the external image a characteristic embossing.
  • the mountings are divided into links which are connected to one another by joints which consist of tabs which are fastened on the inside of the central webs of two links with their two ends.
  • Such a design of a bracelet also allows a technically or technically not very experienced wearer of the bracelet to exchange an originally existing leather strap for another strap that differs in color, shape or material, in order to be able to comply with changed fashion trends or in the To be able to adapt the type of presentation to special events, occurrences or social events.
  • This is possible due to the possibility of exchanging a leather strap of a given color for that of another color, as well as exchanging a strap made of nappa leather for example against one made of crocodile leather or another surface structure, but also for another strap made of silver or gold or a tape made of a material other than leather.
  • the legs of the U-shaped brackets lying on the outside can carry lugs which are effective as additional brackets for the exchangeable leather strap or supports thereof and which contribute to an advantageous decorative effect.
  • the legs of the U-shaped brackets lying on the outside can be connected to one another by carriers which are at a distance from one another and are suitable to act as a carrier of one or more gemstones in addition to guiding the leather strap, through which the entire presentation of the Bracelet is increased.
  • the shown in Figures 1 to 5 watch band consists of two brackets 1 and 1 ', of which the front bracket 1 is on the edge side facing the hand of the wearer, while the rear bracket 1' is on the opposite side.
  • brackets 1 and 1 ' are divided into individual, articulated members 2 and 2', which alternately consist of gold and steel in the sequence.
  • brackets 1 and 1 'webs 6 are provided, which are spaced apart and connect the inner legs 5 of individual links 2 and 2'. These webs 6 are of different lengths insofar as this results in a convergent course of the brackets 1 and 1 'in the direction of the closure 11 of the bracelet, which facilitates the insertion of a leather strap 7 from the side facing away from the closure 11.
  • the individual links 2 and 2 ' are each articulated by two links connecting tabs 8, which are rotatably held at their ends by rivets 9 and 9' ( Figure 3) on the inside of the central webs 3.
  • links 2 and 2 ' are each provided with an externally accessible screw 10 and 10' to be able to detach these links from the bracelet and thereby shorten the bracelet, if such due to the special size of the wrist of the wearer appears appropriate as an adjustment.
  • the closure 11 consists of three brackets 12, 13 and 14, each of which is connected in a known manner by means of rotary joints 15 to one another and to the two ends of the two bracelet halves.
  • links 2 and 2 'of the brackets are provided with push-through openings 20 and 20' for a spring pin 18 which extends through a loop 17 arranged at the end of the leather band 7 and with its free-standing end pins 19 on the arms 31 of a clock 30 releasable to be fastened.
  • the leather strap 7 is inserted as far as between the two brackets 2 and 2 'in the direction of arrow 22 until the loop 17 lies between the through openings 20 and 20'. Then the spring pin 18 can be inserted through the openings 20, the loop 17 and the opening 21, in order to then be anchored in blind holes in the arms 31 of the watch 30 with its freely projecting pins 19 which are under pressure from a spring (not shown).
  • the band 7, which can be arranged in exchange, for example, also consist of a gold mesh or a material other than leather, is supported on its inside by the webs 6 and can be on it Be held on the outside by additionally provided carriers 32 or only by protruding projections 28, which are suitable for receiving gemstones 33 such as gemstones or diamonds as a further tasteful design of the bracelet, although it is not excluded that such gemstones are also directly on the links 2 or 2 'can be arranged.
