Definitions

  • the invention relates to a shower partition with a wall element according to the features specified in the preamble of claim 1.
  • Such a shower partition is known from DE-U-84 08 029, the crossbar of which is designed as a rod-shaped corner strut.
  • This corner strut is fastened on the one hand with a wall element and on the other hand to a fixed wall by means of angle or connecting pieces.
  • the wall element contains a plastic disc and on its upper edge a frame strip, on which the one connector is attached at the top by means of screws. The holes required for the screws are in the Upper frame ledge arranged when installing the shower enclosure on site.
  • the manufacturing and assembly effort is not insignificant, since usually the wall element is aligned during assembly with respect to the fixed wall or compensation profiles are provided to compensate for tolerances caused by the customer, prefabrication of the connection and in particular the introduction of the holes mentioned in the upper frame strip not readily possible at the factory during manufacture.
  • the wall element made of safety glass is attached to the one vertical longitudinal edge by means of a frame profile rail on the fixed wall.
  • a corner profile is provided on the other vertical longitudinal edge, which extends from the floor to the ceiling of the shower room.
  • the invention is therefore based on the object of further developing the shower partition of the type mentioned at the outset in such a way that the assembly can be carried out in a simple manner with regard to the horizontal alignment and the compensation of the wall element and nevertheless a stable and functionally reliable installation is ensured.
  • the proposed shower partition has a functional and cost-effective structure and ensures good stability of the wall element with little use of material.
  • the crossbeam contains a horizontal base plate and a circumferential edge, whereby the U-shaped cross-sectional shape thus achieved achieves good stability with little use of material becomes.
  • the crossbar can be produced in a simple manner, in particular by injection molding from plastic or metal.
  • the contact surfaces arranged in the edge parts of the crossbeam enable reliable fastening, the size of the contact surfaces being able to be predefined without problems in order to avoid high surface pressures. In particular when the wall element is formed from a glass plate, damage in the connection area between the crossbar and the glass plate is reliably avoided.
  • the crossmember can be arranged at a predeterminable distance below the upper edge of the wall element, as a result of which the elongated hole can be made in the wall element without fear of damage or even breaking of the entire wall element.
  • the wall element designed as a glass plate can be inserted with its two vertical longitudinal edges into a vertical profile rail.
  • the profile rail assigned to the room wall can be aligned with the glass plate with respect to a wall profile rail during assembly without any problems for the purpose of alignment and to compensate for inaccuracies and tolerances caused by the customer, in which case the profile rail must be fixed together with the glass plate with respect to the aforementioned wall profile rail using a fastening element .
  • the assembly is considerably easier due to the connection of the crossbar to the wall element or the glass plate via the elongated hole.
  • the wall profile rail and the crossbar are first connected to the room wall, for example using dowels and appropriate screws, in the usual way.
  • the wall element can be loosely connected to the wall profile rail by means of the above-mentioned profile rail and, furthermore, an initially still loose connection of the wall element to the cross strut can be produced.
  • the cross strut reliably secures the comparatively heavy glass plate or wall element during assembly.
  • the glass plate can then be aligned in the desired manner with respect to the wall of the room, particularly in the horizontal direction, with the cross-beam preventing tipping over. Due to the crossbar provided according to the invention, the comparatively heavy glass plate can be assembled by a single person.
  • the crossbar is expediently arranged in the interior of the shower partition and consequently does not appear to be a nuisance to the outside.
  • a long corner profile that runs all the way to the ceiling is unnecessary.
  • the crossbar preferably lies directly on the inner surface of the glass plate of the wall element. If a corner profile rail is provided, which extends only over the entire height of the shower partition, then this can also be designed with significantly smaller wall thicknesses without any problems, as a result of which considerable material savings are achieved.
  • the crossbeam contains a base plate and is arranged essentially in a horizontal plane and can at the same time also be designed for storing soap or other shower utensils.
  • the horizontally arranged base plate is of an edge extending in the vertical direction surrounded, which extends continuously in the horizontal plane over the entire circumference of the crossbar.
  • the cross-member thus has a cross-section which is in principle U-shaped, it being possible for an H-shaped cross-section to be specified in the context of this invention, if appropriate by extending the edge in the other direction.
  • the cross-beam has a high level of rigidity and strength with low use of material and low weight and also with small wall thicknesses of both the base plate and the peripheral edge.
  • the first contact surface is significantly smaller compared to the total length of the crossbar, so that there is also a free space to the wall element. A certain elasticity and resilience of the wall element and the rest of its storage is therefore permitted, while the cross-beam is comparatively stiff. Tensioning of the wall element is avoided, especially since the wall element can be arranged on the room wall with elastic means by means of the profile rail.
  • Figure 1 shows a view of the shower partition, which is arranged above a shower tray 42 and contains a rotating wing 2 and a wall element 80.
  • the shower tray 42 is arranged in the corner between two fixed walls or room walls 10.
  • the wall element 80 consists of a glass plate and is arranged in the region of the one vertical longitudinal edge in a profile rail 11 which is adjustably connected with respect to a wall profile rail 15 which is firmly connected to the room wall 10.
  • a corner profile rail 36 is arranged on the other vertical longitudinal edge of the wall element 80.
  • a cross strut 17 by means of which on the one hand a stiffening of the wall element 80 and on the other hand a connection between the corner rail 36 and the frame rail 11 is achieved.
  • the rotary wing 2 also contains such a cross strut 17th
  • the wall element 80 For stable interception of the wall element 80, there is a crossbar 21 in the interior, i.e. above the shower tray 42, which, on the one hand, bears against the room wall 10 and, on the other hand, directly against the inside of the wall element 80 designed as a glass plate with corresponding contact surfaces and is fastened by means of fastening elements.
  • a crossbar 21 On the front side of the wall element 18 visible here, only a cover 23 can be seen, by means of which the fastening means, in particular screws, are covered.
  • the crossbar 21 is designed as an angle support and is, in particular, due to the transparent design of the wall element made of glass, recognizable from the outside.
  • the crossbar 21 is arranged in the upper third of the total height of the wall element 80 in order to achieve a good stabilizing effect. Furthermore, in the context of this invention, the crossbar 21 is arranged in such a way that its lower edge 25 is substantially at the same height as the lower edge of an upper hinge 6 of the rotary wing 2. At the lower edge of the rotary wing there is a lower hinge 4. This symmetrical The arrangement of the hinge and cross-beam guarantees a good overall visual impression.
  • FIG. 2 shows a top view of the shower partition, the crossbar 21 arranged in the interior of the shower partition above the shower tray 42 now being clearly visible.
  • the crossbar 21, viewed in a vertical sectional plane, has an approximately U-shaped cross section, an edge 29 projecting vertically upward above a base plate 27.
  • the edge 29 runs over the entire circumference of the approximately triangular cross-member 21, a high degree of rigidity being achieved in connection with the horizontal base plate 27 with comparatively small wall thicknesses of the base plate 27 and edge 29.
  • the crossbar 21 also serves as a shelf for soap or other shower utensils.
  • the rotary wing 2 is arranged, which is hinged to a compensating profile 20 by means of the hinge 6.
  • the upper hinge 6 can be seen here and a correspondingly designed hinge is also provided on the lower edge of the rotary wing 2.
  • the upper hinge 6 contains a hinge holder 14 connected to the compensating profile 20, with respect to which a hinge arm 24 connected to the rotary wing 2 can be pivoted about a vertical axis.
  • the rotary wing 2 can be swung open in the direction of arrow 82 in order to open the access opening present between the compensating profile 20 and the corner profile rail 36.
  • FIG. 3 shows an enlarged view of the cross-beam 21 proposed according to the invention, which acts as an angle piece with a first contact surface 31 is designed for the wall element 80.
  • the crossbar 21 is approximately triangular in shape, the base plate 27 having an extension 63 facing the wall element 80.
  • the first contact surface 31 is designed as the outermost surface of the edge part 67, which surrounds the mentioned extension 63.
  • two or more cross members of this type can also be provided vertically spaced apart.
  • the crossbeam 21 also has a second contact surface 33 which bears against the wall 10 and is fastened. This second contact surface 33 is also part of the edge 29 surrounding the base plate 27 of the cross-beam 21.
  • the size of the contact surfaces, and in particular the size of the first contact surface 31, can be predefined without further ado that large surface pressures and load peaks in the connection area are avoided will.
  • the length 35 of the crossbeam 21 can easily be made comparatively long in order to achieve good stability and can be, for example, approximately 40 cm in size.
  • the width of the wall element is approximately 80 to 90 cm, and according to the invention the first contact surface 31 is located approximately in or also just in front of the center plane of the wall element 80.
  • the wall element 80 has an elongated hole 37 which extends in the horizontal plane and through which fastening elements 39 in the form of screws are screwed in order to connect the wall element to the crossbar 21.
  • the crossbar 21 can also be provided in the edge 29 for the fastening elements 39 with an elongated hole 40. Because of the or the elongated holes, the wall element 80 can be adjusted in a simple manner with respect to the crossbar 21 or vice versa.
  • the profile rail 11 is adjustable with respect to the wall profile rail 15, so that overall, within the scope of this invention, simple alignment of the individual components is achieved for the purpose of simple assembly.
  • the crossbar is also adjustable with respect to the room wall 10 for this purpose also has elongated holes 41, 43, wherein in the context of this invention one elongated hole 41 runs in the horizontal direction and the other elongated hole 43 runs in the vertical direction. This enables pivoting for the purpose of alignment in the exactly horizontal position.
  • the crossbar 21 bears with its second contact surface 33 against the room wall 10. Between the shoulder 63 and the wall 10, the crossbar 21 is arranged at a distance 45 to the wall element 80. The part 65 of the edge runs parallel to the wall element 80 in this area.
  • the crossbar 21 is essentially triangular, but the crossbar is angled according to the projection 63 and thus forms an angle support.
  • the two contact surfaces 31 and 33 are outer surfaces of the parts 67 and 68 of the edge 29. These parts 67, 68 and also the two contact surfaces 31, 33 lie in vertical planes which are correspondingly at right angles to one another.
  • the part 66 of the edge 29 which extends furthest into the interior above the shower tray is arranged with respect to the part 65 at an acute angle which opens toward the wall 10 of the room.
  • the wall profile rail 15 is aligned exactly vertically, while the crossbar 21 is initially only provisionally attached to the room wall 10 by means of the screws screwed through the elongated holes 41 and 43.
  • the wall element 80 is then set up vertically and secured to the crossbar 21 by means of the screws 39, which are only indicated here. Due to the horizontal arrangement of the elongated hole 37 in the glass plate of the wall element and / or the elongated hole 40 in the edge part 67, the wall element 80 can be aligned in the direction of the double arrow 75. Subsequently, the crossbar 21 is firmly connected to the room wall 10 and to the wall element 80 by tightening the screws mentioned.
  • the screws 39 are covered by the cover cap 23. Water can flow out through an opening 79.
  • FIG. 4 shows partially and in an enlargement the view B according to FIG. 1 on the wall element 80 made of safety glass, behind which the cross-beam 21 can consequently be clearly seen.
  • the cross strut 17 is arranged on the upper edge of the wall element 80 and the profile rail 11 and the wall profile rail 15 are arranged on the vertical longitudinal edge.
  • the bottom surface of the crossbar 21 located behind the plane of the drawing is indicated by dash-dotted lines.
  • the cover 23 is connected to the front of the wall element 80 by gluing or clipping.
  • a hook is also provided in the base plate 27, on which shower utensils can be hung.
  • a screw or clip connection is used for fastening.

This distance 77 ensures that the elongated hole 37 can be introduced into the wall element 80 without any problems during the production thereof.
  • the slot 37 is made in the wall element 80 at the factory, so that no holes have to be drilled on site during assembly.
  • FIG. 5 shows a section along section line V corresponding to FIG. 1, but the wall element 80 and rotating wing 2 are interchanged.
  • the frame profile rail 11 engages over the profile rail 15, which is arranged essentially inside, and which is fastened to the room wall 10 by means of screws.
  • at least two screws 47 are provided spaced apart in the vertical direction, each of which extends through a slot 49 of the associated leg of the wall profile rail 15, which slot extends transversely to the room wall.
  • a clamping body 51 Inside the wall profile rail 15 there is a clamping body 51, which is also penetrated by the screw 47 and has a nut 53 for the screw 47.
  • the clamping body 51 is in its contact surface on the legs of the wall profile 15 just like this there with a vertical, that is, perpendicular corrugation 55 extending to the plane of the drawing. It can be seen that the frame profile rail 11 can be adjusted with respect to the wall profile rail 15 in the direction of the arrow 57 by loosening the screw 47. Since the wall element 80 can also be adjusted and aligned with respect to the crossbar that is firmly connected to the room wall due to the elongated holes explained, the assembly can be carried out with little effort.
  • the slot 49 open at the end of the leg enables the frame profile rail 11 to be pushed onto the wall profile rail 15 after the latter has been fastened to the room wall 10 without any problems.
  • the frame profile rail 11 and correspondingly the corner profile 36 each contain a recess in which plastic profiles 59 are inserted. These plastic profiles have an approximately U-shaped cross section and are provided with holding arms for holding the wall element 80 made of safety glass.
