Definitions

  • small container carriers In the field of bottle transport, so-called small container carriers are known (cf. US-A-3 495 704), which serve to keep three small containers of, for example, eight bottles separate, within a large bottle crate with, for example, 24 bottles.
  • these small container carriers each enclose all bottles of the small container and, in particular, only have a small area on their upper surface which is suitable as a print or advertising medium.
  • the task is to prevent on the one hand that individual bottles are removed from the container; on the other hand, the cover film should have a large, clearly recognizable and uninterrupted printing or carrier surface, which makes the cover film usable in the most general sense as an advertising medium.
  • Openings are understood to mean breakthroughs, punched-outs, but also predetermined breaking points, which consist, for example, of a round punched-out cut with star-shaped slots that tear open to individual tongues and can then generally be removed from the bottle necks only by destroying the cover film. This is especially true when the bottle is closed with a crown cap or a twist capsule closure. However, it is also possible to punch only a cross-slot into corresponding films, which then bends over the bottle neck when slipped on. In some cases, it may also be sufficient to insert only a diluted predetermined breaking point where the film is to be slipped over the bottle neck, which then tears under pressure and can be pushed open accordingly.
  • n, m stand for the integers 3, 4, 5, 6, which are chosen as the number of rows in the usual bottle crates.
  • the invention is directed to a cover film for a bottle crate, in which the cover film is provided in the region of two opposite box edges, each with n or m opening points in series.
  • the cover film is accordingly provided with two parallel, opposite opening points.
  • the middle area is free of opening points and can therefore serve as a marking support or the like, as will be explained in the following.
  • a bow strip facilitating the bending is provided parallel to at least one of the rows of opening points on the edge of the central area.
  • the flat central region is only provided with an imprint
  • An assortment of beer coasters, a bottle opener or another addition can then be inserted into these parts, for example, this addition preferably being visible.
  • the cover film from two film sheets which are connected on one side at the edge and are placed one on top of the other, so that a container is also created here, as in a folder, into which corresponding addition items can be inserted. It is also possible to releasably connect the foil sheets on the side opposite the connecting edge with the help of a pair of push buttons, a tab with an insertion slot or the like.
  • Cardboard, laminated paper, plastic, thin steel sheet or the like are suitable as the material for the cover film.
  • a bottle crate 1 is shown, which is made in the usual way from plastic.
  • the bottle crate has four handle holes 2, 3, 4, 5 and is filled with three times four bottles, of which only the bottle necks are included the closures 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11 can be seen.
  • the bottles can be beer, mineral or lemonade bottles of the usual type.
  • the bottle caps can be designed as a crown cork, as a screw cap or as a cork. For better function, however, it is desirable that the closure protrude somewhat beyond the remaining periphery of the bottle neck piece underneath.
  • the bottle arrangement is covered by a cover film 12, which is provided in the region of two opposite box edges 13, 14 with three, in each case, three opening points 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21 in between, with opposite rows of opening points 22, 23 a flat central region 24 is arranged.
  • a cover film 12 which is provided in the region of two opposite box edges 13, 14 with three, in each case, three opening points 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21 in between, with opposite rows of opening points 22, 23 a flat central region 24 is arranged.
  • the cover film described can be made of cardboard, laminated paper, plastic or even thin sheet metal (aluminum or steel, for example).
  • the opening points 16-21 consist of round punch holes, the diameter of which is somewhat smaller than the outer diameter of the closures 6-11.
  • the punched holes are provided in a star shape with incised slits 26 which expand when the cover film is slipped on in the area of the perforations and form small retaining tongues.
  • cover film 12 described can be printed in the central area and thus serve as an excellent advertising medium.
  • edge regions 22 ', 23' of the cover film 12 are each widened outwards by a film strip 28, 29 which is inserted between a box inside and the bottle outside when the cover film 12 is placed on .
  • a part of this film strip can be seen in FIG. 1 through the grip hole 5. In particular, however, reference is made to FIG. 2.
  • the central region 24 is here provided with a blister cover 30 on top, which consists of a thin, transparent plastic film which is glued to the central region at the flat flange edges 31 or is otherwise connected.
  • the cover film 12 can, for example, be provided with an addition, such as a range of beer mats or the like.
  • the buyer of the bottle container receives an additional incentive to buy.
  • the blister cover 30 it is of course also possible to use a glued-on plastic bag or a similar, known container.
  • FIG. 3 Another embodiment is shown in FIG. 3.
  • the cover film 12 consists of two film sheets 33, 34 which are connected on one side at their edge 32 and which can be placed one on top of the other, a tab 35 being insertable into a compatible slot 36.
  • the cover film consisting of the superimposed film sheets 33, 34 is then in principle designed in exactly the same way as that of FIG. 1.
  • the corresponding opening points are one above the other.
  • the free middle area 24 is also present.
  • This embodiment is particularly suitable for packing an addition, for example a printed t-shirt, between the sheets. Of course, there are other possible uses.
  • the embodiments according to FIGS. 2 and 3 can also be manufactured from the materials mentioned.
  • the embodiment according to FIG. 3 is advantageously made from thinner paper because the two foil sheets placed on top of one another offer a relatively high resistance to kinking.
