Description
- Gewinnung von Krypton und Xenon Gegenstand des Patents 629 297 ist ein Verfahren, nach dem die Edelgase Krypton und Xenon (im folgenden kurz als Krypton bezeichnet) dadurch aus dem Sauerstoff von Luftzerlegungsanlagen gewonnen werden, daß aus - diesem Sauerstoff die zusammen mit den Edelgasen angereicherten Kohlenwasserstoffe entfernt werden und das übrigbleibende Gemisch von Sauerstoff und Krypton durch Rektifikation in seine Bestandteile zerlegt wird. Bei der Gewinnung kryptonreicher Fraktionen durch Rektifikation traten überraschenderweise Schwierigkeiten auf.
- Es wurde gefunden, daß diese Schwierigkeiten verschwinden, wenn die Rektifikation des Sauerstoff-Krypton-Gemisches unter erhöhtem Druck, insbesondere unter Drucken von mehr als 47 ata, durchgeführt wird. Dieses Ergebnis war insofern nicht zu erwarten, als im allgemeinen Rektifikationen mit wachsendem Druck infolge der Annäherung der Gleichgewichtskurven sich immer schwieriger durchführen lassen. Der Grund für die günstige Wirkung der Druckerhöhung in diesein Falle dürfte darin zu suchen sein, daß bei Atmosphärendruck Krypton und Sauerstoff nicht mehr unbegrenzt im flüssigen Zustand miteinander mischbar sind, sondern bei höheren Kryptonkonzentrationen das Edelgas sich zum Teil in fester Form ausscheidet. Bei höheren Drucken bilden dagegen Sauerstoff und Krypton eine lückenlose Mischungsreihe, die auch bei kryptonreichen Gemischen flüssig bleibt.

- PATENTANSPRI! CRE: i. Verfahren zur Gewinnung der Edelgase Krypton und Xenon, weitere Ausbildung der Arbeitsweise gemäß Patent 629 297, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Zerlegung des Sauerstoff - Krypton - Gemisches durch Rektifikation unter erhöhtem Druck durchgeführt wird. .
- 2. Verfahren nach Anspruch i, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Rektifikation unter Drucken von mehr als 47 ata durchgeführt -wird.
