Herstellung aromatischer Urethane Beschreibung
Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zur Herstellung von aromatischen Urethanen durch Reaktion zwischen aromatischen
Aminen und Alkylcarbonaten in Gegenwart eines Katalysators.
Die Urethane werden industriell hergestellt durch Reaktion
zwischen einem aromatischen Isocyanat und einer hydroxylhaltigen Verbindung/ wobei die letztere üblicherweise ein
Alkohol ist, und finden ihre Verwendung als aktive Bestandteile bei der Formulierung von Pestiziden bzw. Schädlingsbekämpfungsmitteln
.
Kürzlich wurde vorgeschlagen/ diese Verbindungen durch Reaktion von aromatischen Nitroverbindungen, Alkoholen und
Kohlenmonoxid in Gegenwart von Selenverbindungen zu synthetisieren (italienische Patentbeschreibung 990 429).
Der hohe Preis des Selens, die beträchtliche Toxizität einiger Selenverbindungen (H^Se, SeCO) , welche während des Verlaufs
der Reaktion gebildet werden, die Schwierigkeiten bei der gänzlichen Wiedergewinnung des Selens aus dem Reaktionsmedium, die Möglichkeit, daß eine bestimmte Menge organische;:
Verbindungen des Selens in dem Endprodukt verbleibt, machen es schwierig, eine derartige Technologie in industriellem
Maßstab anzuwenden.
Es wurde nun gefunden/ daß aromatische Urethane durch Reaktion von Alkylcarbonaten mit aromatischen Aminen in Gegenwart
basischer Katalysatoren hergestellt werden können.
Die betreffende Reaktion läuft nach folgendem Schema ab:
Ar-NH + (R1O)2-CO ^Ar-NCOOR1 + R1OH (I)

worin Ar ein aromatischer Rest ist, R bedeutet Wasserstoff, eine Alkyl- oder Aralkylgruppe, und R' ist ein Alkyl- oder
Aralkylrest.
Die aromatischen Amine, welche bei dem in Frage stehenden Verfahren verwendet werden können, umfassen die primären
aromatischen Monoamine, wie Anilin und Naphthylamin, die sekundären aromatischen Monoamine mit Alkyl- oder aromatischen
s Substituenten am Stickstoffatom, wie N-Methyl-, N-Äthyl-,
N-Propyl-, Benzyl-anilin oder Diphenylamin, die aromatischen
Monoamine, welche auch im Ring substituiert sind/mit einem
oder mehreren Resten aus der Klasse von Alkyl, Phenyl, Alkoxy, Phenoxy, Chlor, Brom, Dialkylamino, Nitro, wie Toluidine,
Aminobiphenyle, p-Methoxyanilin, Amxnobiphenylather,
4-Methyl-3-chloranilin, 4-Chloranilin, 3,4-Dichloranilin,
Bromanilin,. Metanitroanilin, primäre aromatische Diamine, wie Tolyldiamin, Bis-phenylaminomethan.
Die Carbonate, welche bei dem in Frage stehenden Verfahren verwendet werden können, umfassen solche eingeschlossen in
der Klasse der organischen Ester von Kohlensäure, worin die Reste Alkyl- oder Aralkylreste sind, beide gesättigt oder
ungesättigt, wie Methyl, Äthyl, Nor-Propyl, Isopropyl,
Nor-Butyl, Isobutyl, sec.Butyl, Benzyl, Phenyläthyl, Alkoxyäthyl,
Phenoxyäthyl, Allyl. Besondere Vorteile werden erreicht, wenn die in dem Ester vorhandenen Reste mehr als ein
Kohlenstoffatom enthalten. Solche Substituenten, wie sie in
dem Carbonatmolekül vorhanden sind, können entweder gleich
oder voneinander verschieden sein. Die Katalysatoren, welche empfohlen werden können, gehören zu der Klasse der Alkoholate,
stammend von Alkalimetallen oder Erdalkalimetallen, die vorzugsweise dieselben Alkylreste tragen, wie sie in dem
Molekül des Carbonats, das für die jeweilige besondere Gelegenheit verwendet wird, vorhanden sind, wie Lithium-, Natrium-,
Kalium-, Magnesium-, Calcium-methylat/ -äthylat, -propylat
und dergleichen.
Die Reaktion wird unter geeigneten Temperaturbedingungen (von +500C bis +15O0C) durchgeführt, jedoch ist es bevorzugt,
zwischen +1000C und +1400C unter einem solchen Druck zu arbeiten,
der ausreicht, um die ReaktionsUmgebung in flüssiger Phase zu halten, mit molaren Mengenverhältnissen des Carbonats zu dem Amin von 10:1 bis 1:10, jedoch sind, stöchiometrische
Mengenverhältnisse bevorzugt, oder ein Überschuß des Carbonats, wobei einer der oben erwähnten Katalysatoren
anwesend ist in einem Molverhältnis bezüglich des Amins, das
von 1:1 bis 1:100 variiert, und vorzugsweise von 1:5 bis 1:20.
Nach Beendigung der Reaktion kann der Katalysator von dem Medium abgetrennt werden (durch Absetzen oder Filtrieren)
und für eine gewisse Zahl von Reaktionsablaufen rezykliert
werden ohne merklichen Verlust seiner Aktivität.
Wenn unter den vorstehend angegebenen Bedingungen gearbeitet wird, so zeigt die Reaktion eine sehr hohe Selektivität
bezüglich des Carbamilats, da die Nebenprodukte, welche gebildet werden, in einem sehr engen Bereich liegen.
Ein 100 ml-Zweihalskolben, ausgestattet mit einem Thermomete::
und einem magnetischen Rühre^wird mit 1,24 g (0,024 Mol)
Natriummethylat, 18,5 g (0,199 Mol) Anilin, 22 g (0,244 Mol)
Dimethylcarbonat und 25 ml Methanol beschickt, wobei alle Bestandteile in wasserfreier Umgebung und unter einem Stickstoffmantel
eingefüllt werden.
Der Kolben wird in ein thermostatisch gesteuertes ölbad gegeben,
so daß die Temperatur in dem Kolben konstant bei 700C gehalten wird. Die Reaktion wird unter diesen Bedingungen
unter kontinuierlichem Rühren während 5 Stunden fortgesetzt.
Nach Beendigung der Reaktionszeit wird der Kolben aus dem Bad entfernt, und nachdem das Reaktionsgemisch auf Eis gekühlt
wurde, wird 18%-ige Salzsäure zugegeben, bis der pH-Wert der Lösung annähernd neutral ist (etwa 4 ml Säure
sind notwendig).
Ein fester Stoff (NaCl) wird abgetrennt, der auf einem Filter gesammelt wird. Die Lösung enthält: Methanol, Dimethylcarbonat,
Anilin, N-Methylanilin und Methylcarbanilat.
Die Umwandlung von Anilin ist 15,3% molar.
Die Selektivität bezüglich des Anilins als Verhältnis der Mole des Produkts zu den Molen des umgewandelten Anilins ist:
98,8% für das Carbanilat und 1,2% für das N-Methylanilin.
Ein 150 ml-Autoklav aus rostfreiem Stahl wird mit 18,5 g
(0,199 Mol) Anilin, 21,8 g (0,242 Mol) Dimethylcarbonat, 1,33 g (0,024 Mol) Natriummethylat beschickt. Der Autoklav
wird in ein ölbad getaucht, das fünf Stunden bei 12O0C gehalten
wird. Nach Beendigung wird der Autoklav aus dem Bad entfernt, abkühlen gelassen und 50 g Eis werden zugesetzt
mit 18%-iger Salzsäure, bis Neutralität auftritt (etwa 4 ml Säure sind erforderlich). Wenn sich die organische Schicht
abgetrennt hat, wird die wäßrige Schicht viermal mit jeweil;
20 ml Äthyläther extrahiert. Die organische Phase und der
Ätherextrakt enthalten alle zusammen: Anilin, N-Methylanilin,
N-Methyl-methylcarbanilat, Methylcarbanilat, Methanol, Dimethylcarbonat,
Biphenylharnstoff. Die molare Umwandlung des Anilins ist 40%, die molare Prozentselektivität der
Produkte, welche erhalten wurden, bezüglich des Anilins ist: 4,7% für Methylanilin, 16,5% für N-Methyl-methylcarbanilat,
77,8% für Methylcarbanilat und 1% für Biphenylharnstoff.
Die Reaktion wird wie in Beispiel 1 durchgeführt, jedoch bei einer Temperatur von +1060C.
Es werden 1,33 g (0,024 Mol) Natriummethylat, 18,3 g
(0,196 Mol) Anilin, 29,0 g (0,24 Mol) Diäthylcarbonat eingeführt.
Nach dem Kühlen werden 50 g Eis und 18%-ige Salzsäure zur Neutralität (etwa 4 ml Säure sind notwendig) zugesetzt.
Die wäßrige Schicht wird viermal mit jeweils 20 ml Äthyläther extrahiert, und die Extrakte werden mit dem öl, welches
abgeschieden worden war, vereinigt.
Die Analyse ergibt die Anwesenheit von Methanol, Äthanol, Diäthylcarbonat, Anilin, Methylcarbanilat, Äthylcarbanilat,
Bipheny!harnstoff.
Die Umwandlung des Anilins betrug 34,6% und die Selektivitäten in Mol sind: 9 4,0% zu Äthylcarbanilat und 4,5% für
Methylcarbanilat und 0,7% für N-Äthylcarbanilat und 0,8%
von Biphenylharnstoff.
Ein 150 ml-Autoklav aus rostfreiem Stahl wird mit 18,5 g
(0,199 Mol) Anilin, 28,5 g (0,242 Mol) Diäthylcarbonat und 0,024MoI Natriumäthylat beschickt, wobei alle Bestandteile
unter Rühren eingeführt wurden und dann während 5 Stunden
bei 12O0C gehalten werden. Das anschließende Verfahren ist
genau wie im Beispiel 3.
Die Analyse ergibt die Anwesenheit von Äthanol, Diäthylcarbonat/
Anilin, Äthylcarbanilat und N-A'thyl-äthylcarbanilat.
Die Umwandlung von Anilin ist 65,5%, und die Selektivitäten sind: 95,2% für A'thylcarbanilat, 2,5% für Biphenylharnstoff,
und 2,3% für N-Äthyl-äthylcarbanilat.
Unter denselben Bedingungen wie in Beispiel 4 werden eingeführt 18,8 g (0,202 Mol) Anilin, 33,6 g (0,23 Mol) Nor-Propylcarbonat
und 0,024 Mol Natriumpropylat und das Gemisch wird 5 Stunden bei +1200C reagieren gelassen.
In dem Reaktionsgemisch sind außer den nicht umgewandelten
Reaktionskomponenten: Nor-Propanol, Propylcarbanilat und
N-Propyl-propylcarbanilat. Die Umwandlung von Anilin beträgt
61,3%. Die Selektivitäten sind: 96% für Propylcarbanilat, 1/5% für N-Propyl-propylcarbanilat und 2,5% für Biphenylharnstof
f.
In eine wie in Beispiel 4 beschriebene. Apparatur werden 0,024 Mol Natriumisopropylat, 33,6 g (0,230 Mol) Diisopropylcarbonat
und 18,8 g (0,202 Mol) Anilin gegeben, wobei die Reaktion während 5 Stunden bei +1200C durchgeführt wird.
Das Reaktionsgemisch besteht aus Diisopropylcarbonat, Isopropanol,
Anilin, Isopropylcarbanilat, Biphenylharnstoff, N-Isopropyl-isopropylcarbanilat. Die Umwandlung von Anilin ist
46%. Die jeweiligen Selektivitäten sind: 60,5% für Isopropylcarbanilat,
0,3% für N-Isopropyl-isopropylcarbanilat und 39,2%
für Biphenylharnstoff.
Das Verfahren wird analog Beispiel 4 durchgeführt, indem 18,6 g (0,20 Mol) Anilin, 41,7 g Dibutylcarbonat und 0,024 MdI
Natriumbutylat eingeführt werden und die Reaktion während 5 Stunden bei +1200C durchgeführt wird.
Die Umwandlung von Anilin ist 77,5%. Die jeweiligen Selektivitäten
sind: 98,4% für Butylcarbanilat, 1,6% für N-Butylbutylcarbanilat.
Wie in den vorhergehenden Beispielen werden 0,012 Mol Natriumäthylat,
18,5 g (0,199 Mol) Anilin und 28,6 g (0,24 Mol) Diäthylcarbonat eingeführt. Die Reaktanten werden während
5 Stunden bei +1200C umgesetzt.
Die Umwandlung von Anilin beträgt 54,4% und die jeweiligen Selektivitäten sind: 97,8% für Äthylcarbanilat, 2,2% für
N-Äthyl-äthylcarbanilat.
Wie üblich, werden 0,024 Mol Natriumäthylat, 57,2 g (0,48MoI)
Diäthylcarbonat und 18,6 g (0,20 Mol) Anilin eingeführt, und diese werden 5 Stunden bei +1200C umgesetzt.
Die Umwandlung von Anilin ist 50%, und die jeweiligen Selektivitäten
sind: 97% für Äthylcarbanilat und 3% für N-Äthyläthylcarbanilat .
Es werden 0,024 Mol Natriumäthylat, 28,6 g (0,24 Mol) Diäthylcarbonat
und 18,6 g (0,20 Mol) Anilin eingeführt und diese während 5 Stunden bei +1350C umgesetzt. In der End-Ä'therlösung
sind enthalten: Äthanol, Diäthylcarbonat, Ani-
lin, N-Äthyl-äthylcarbanilat und Athylcarbanilat.
Die Umwandlung des Anilins war 81% und die jeweiligen Selektivitäten
waren: 90,6% für Athylcarbanilat, 42% für N-Äthyläthylcarbanilat und 5/2% für Biphenylharnstoff.
Der Versuch wird wie in Beispiel 4 durchgeführt unter Verwendung
eines 500 ml-Autoclaven aus rostfreiem Stahl, der mit 92,5 g Anilin, 143 g Diäthylcärbonat und 8,2 g Natriumäthylat
beschickt wird.
Nach Beendigung des Versuchs wurde das Anilin nach Zugabe
von 200 ml Äther von der organischen Schicht durch Waschen mit Wasser extrahiert und mit Salzsäure angesäuert (60 ml
von 18%).
Aus der organischen Schicht wurden 2,3 g Biphenylharnstoff, 100,4 g Athylcarbanilat, 2,5 g N-Äthyl-äthylcarbanilat erhalten.
Aus der wäßrigen Schicht wurden nach Neutralisieren mit Natriumhydroxid und Extrahieren mit Äther 31,4 g Anilin
(nicht umgesetzt) wiedergewonnen.
Der Versuch wird,wie in Beispiel 4 angegeben, durchgeführt.
Es werden 0,024 Mol Natriumäthylat, 144,4 g (0,969 Mol)
Diäthylcarbonat und 18,6 g (0,20 Mol) Anilin eingeführt.
Die Umwandlung von Anilin war 87,3 % und die jeweiligen Selektivitäten waren: 95,3% für Athylcarbanilat, 4,7% für
N-Äthyl-äthylcarbanilat.
Die Reaktion des Beispiels 9 wurde wiederholt. Nach Beendigung der Reaktion wurde das Gemisch abgekühlt und filtriert
und der Niederschlag mit Äthyläther gewaschen.
Der feste Stoff, welches der Katalysator ist, wird für eine nachfolgende Reaktion zurückgeführt, die unter denselben
Bedingungen durchgeführt wurde.
Bei dem Recycling-Test für den Katalysator waren die Ergebnisse eine Umwandlung von Anilin von 47% mit einer Selektivität
für Äthylcarbanilat so hoch wie 97,5%.
Claims (9)

- 2. Verfahren zur Herstellung von aromatischen Urethanen gemäß Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Reaktion in Gegenwart eines Katalysators f ausgewählt aus den Alkoholaten von Alkalimetallen oder Erdalkalimetalle^durchgeführt wird.
- 3. Verfahren zur Herstellung von aromatischen Urethanen gemäß den Ansprüchen 1 und 2, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Reaktion in Gegenwart einer solchen Katalysatormenge durchgeführt wird, daß ihr Molverhältnis in Eezug auf das Amin von 1:1 bis 1:100 variiert.
- 4. Verfahren zur Herstellung von aromatischen Urethanen gemäß Anspruch 3, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß das Molverhältnis des Katalysators zu dem Amin vorzugsweise von 1:5 bis 1:20 variiert.
- 5. Verfahren zur Herstellung von aromatischen Urethanen gemäß Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Reaktion zwischen dem Amin und dem Ciirbonat bei einem Molverhältnis durchgeführt wird, das von 10:1 bis 1:10 variiert.
- 6. Verfahren zur Herstellung von aromatischen Urethanen gemäß Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Reaktion bei einer Temperatur von 50 bis 1500C durchgeführt wird.
- 7. Verfahren zur Herstellung von aromatischen Urethanen gemäß Anspruch 6, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Reaktion vorzugsweise bei einer Temperatur zwischen 100 und 1400C durchgeführt wird.
- 8. Verfahren zur Herstellung von aromatischen Urethanen gemäß einem oder mehreren der vorhergehenden Ansprüche, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Reaktion in flüssiger Phase durchgeführt wird.
- 9. Verfahren zur Herstellung von aromatischen Urethanen gemäß einem oder mehreren der vorhergehenden Ansprüche, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Reaktion durchgeführt wird, indem vorzugsweise von einem Alkylcarbonat ausgegangen wird, worin wenigstens einer der Reste mehr als ein Kohlenstoffatom enthält.
