Es ist eine Reihe von Mitteln zur Verbesserung des Viskositätsindex
von Schmiermittel bekannt, die aus verschiedenen hydrierten Copolymerisäten von Alkenylaromaten und konjugierten
Diolefinen bestehen. Diese Copolymerisate sind hervorragende
Modifiziermittel zur Erhöhung der Viskosität und zur Verbesserung der Scherstabilität und des Viskositätsindexes
von Schmierölen. Als Copolymerisate kommen mehrere Typen von Copolymerisäten der Alkenylaromaten und konjugierten Diolefine
in Frage, die sich hauptsächlich durch die sterische Anordnung der polymerisierten Monomeren voneinander unterscheiden
und die anschließend in unterschiedlichem Ausmaß hydriert werden.

Da die hydrierten Copolymerisate im gepackten oder kornförmigen Zustand oder als Pellets geliefert werden, müssen sie
durch intensives Vermischen in das Schmieröl eingearbeitet werden. Die bei der Formulierung bestimmter Schmiermittel, die
diese hydrierten Copolymerisate enthalten, auftretenden Schwierigkeiten sind in den US-PSen 3 63O 905 und 3 772 I69 beschrieben.
In diesen Patentschriften sind auch Versuche zur Lösung dieser Nachteile beschrieben. In US-PS 3 630 905 ist die Herstellung
eines mit Öl gestreckten Copolymerisats beschrieben, das aus 40 bis 60 Gewichtsprozent eines bestimmten hydrierten
Copolymerisats und 60 bis 40 Gewichtsprozent Paraffinöl besteht. Große Mengen dieses mit Öl gestreckten Mittels werden
in einem Herstellungsgang hergestellt. Kleinere Mengen werden je nach Bedarf zur Herstellung der fertigen Schmiermittel verwendet.
In der US-PS 3 772 169 ist die Verhinderung der Neigung zum Gelbilden beschrieben, die Mineralschmieröle oder
Schmiermittel auf Esterbasis aufweisen, die diese hydrierten Copolymerisate enthalten. Zur Lösung der Nachteile wird der
Zusatz kleiner Mengen eines Polyesters einer olefinisch ungesättigten Säure zur Öllösung vorgeschlagen.
Der Erfindung liegt die Aufgabe zugrunde, die bei der Formulierung
von hydrierten Copolymerisate enthaltenden Schmiermittel auftretenden Nachteile zu beseitigen oder einzuschränken.
Die Lösung dieser Aufgabe beruht auf dem überraschenden Befund, daß viele dieser Schwierigkeiten beseitigt oder eingeschränkt

dung eines synthetischen, keine Ester enthaltenden Schmierölverschnittmittels
oder -trägermittels hergestellt· und dieses Zusatzkonzentrat, das weitere Zusatzstoffe und bestimmte andere
Schmierölverschnittmittel enthalten kann, danach mit einer entsprechenden Menge eines entsprechenden Schmieröls zur Herstellung
der fertigen Schmiermittel verschnitten wird.
Die Erfindung betrifft somit den in den Ansprüchen gekennzeichneten
Gegenstand.
Die erfindungsgemäßen Zusatzkonzentrate bestehen aus einem
synthetischen, keine Ester enthaltenden Schmierölverschnittmittel und etwa 5 bis etwa 50 Gewichtsprozent eines speziellen
hydrierten Copolymerisate aus einer durch einen Alkenylrest
substituierten aromatischen Verbindung und einem konjugierten Diolefin. Der bevorzugte Komzentrationsbereich des hydrierten Copolymer!sats beträgt etwa 5 bis etwa 30 Gewichtsprozent. Es können Gemische von zwei oder mehreren synthetischen, keine Ester enthaltenden Schmierölen verwendet werden. Gegebenenfalls können auch Gemische von zwei oder mehreren verschiedenen hydrierten Copolymerisaten verwendet werden. Zur Herstellung des Zusatzkonzentrats kann ein zusätzliches Verschnittmittel verwendet werden. Spezielle Beispiele für zusätzliche Verschnittmittel sind synthetische Schmieröle auf Esterbasis, Mineralschmieröle und deren Gemische. Bei Verwendung eines zusätzlichen Verschnittmittels sind Konzentrationen bis zu etwa 80 Gewichtsprozent der gesamten Verschnittmittelkonzentration brauchbar. Vorzugsweise beträgt die Konzentration des zusätz-
synthetischen, keine Ester enthaltenden Schmierölverschnittmittel und etwa 5 bis etwa 50 Gewichtsprozent eines speziellen
hydrierten Copolymerisate aus einer durch einen Alkenylrest
substituierten aromatischen Verbindung und einem konjugierten Diolefin. Der bevorzugte Komzentrationsbereich des hydrierten Copolymer!sats beträgt etwa 5 bis etwa 30 Gewichtsprozent. Es können Gemische von zwei oder mehreren synthetischen, keine Ester enthaltenden Schmierölen verwendet werden. Gegebenenfalls können auch Gemische von zwei oder mehreren verschiedenen hydrierten Copolymerisaten verwendet werden. Zur Herstellung des Zusatzkonzentrats kann ein zusätzliches Verschnittmittel verwendet werden. Spezielle Beispiele für zusätzliche Verschnittmittel sind synthetische Schmieröle auf Esterbasis, Mineralschmieröle und deren Gemische. Bei Verwendung eines zusätzlichen Verschnittmittels sind Konzentrationen bis zu etwa 80 Gewichtsprozent der gesamten Verschnittmittelkonzentration brauchbar. Vorzugsweise beträgt die Konzentration des zusätz-

des gesamten Verschnittmittels. Diese Konzentrate sind normalerweise
Lösungen oder im wesentlichen stabile Dispersionen, die das hydrierte Copolymerisat und das Verschnittmittel enthalten.
Zur Herstellung der erfindungsgemäßen Schmiermittel wird das
Zusatzkonzentrat mit einer entsprechenden Menge eines bestimmten Typ eines Schmieröls verschnitten. Dabei beträgt die Menge
des Konzentrats etwa 1 bis etwa 95 Gewichtsprozent des fertigen Schmiermittels. Die Menge des Konzentrats hängt natürlich
von der Konzentration des den Viskositätsindex verbessernden Copolymer!sats im Konzentrat ab. Anders ausgedrückt soll die
Menge des Konzentrats so bemessen sein, daß etwa 0,05 bis etwa 10 Gewichtsprozent des Copolymerisats im fertigen Schmiermittel
vorliegen. Der bevorzugte Konzentrationsbereich des Copolymerisats im fertigen Schmiermittel beträgt etwa 0,5 bis
etwa 5 Gewichtsprozent.
Spezielle Beispiele für Schmieröle, die mit dem erfindungsgemäßen Zusatzkonzentrat zur Herstellung"der erfindungsgemäßen
Schmiermittel verschnitten werden können, sind synthetische, keine Ester enthaltende Schmieröle, synthetische Schmieröle
auf Esterbasis, Mineralschmieröle und deren Gemische.
Die Bezeichnung "hydriertes Copolymerisat aus einer durch einen Alkenylrest substituierten aromatischen Verbindung und
einem konjugierten Diolefin" bezeichnet öllösliche, feste kaut schukartige Copolymerisate aus einer monomeren durch einen Al-

kenylrest substituierten aromatischen Verbindung, wie Styrol,
und einer monomeren konjugierten Dienverbindung, wie Butadien, d.h.
/Copolymerisate, die zur fast völligen Absättigung der olefinisch
ungesättigten Doppelbindungen hydriert sind. Gewöhnlich reicht der Hydrierungsgrad nicht aus, um die aromatischen Doppelbindungen,
d.h. die aromatische Gruppe, zu hydrieren. In einigen Fällen wird jedoch die aromatische Gruppe teilweise
hydriert. Diese Copolymerisate werden nach üblichen Verfahren hergestellt, beispielsweise durch Random-, Block- oder
Tapered-Copolymerisation. Zum Ausdruck "Tapered-Copolymerisation"
vgl. Enc. Polymer Science and Technology, Wiley & Sons, N.Y., 1966, Bd. 5, S. 847 bis 848. Die Copolymerisate werden
nach üblichen Hydrierverfahren hydriert.
Hydrierte Copolymerisate einer durch einen Alkenylrest substituierten
aromatischen Verbindung und einer konjugierten Dienverbindung mit relativ hohem Molekulargewicht sind bevorzugt.
Derartige Copolymerisate haben ein Zahlenmittel des Molekulargewichts von mindestens 20 000 bis etwa 500 000 oder höher.
Beispiele sind Random-Copolymerisate mit einem Zahlenmittel
des Molekulargewichts von etwa 30 000. Besonders bevorzugte Copolymerisate
haben ein Zahlenmittel des Molekulargewichts von etwa 30 000 bis etwa 150 000. Diese Copolymerisate sind
bekannt.
Spezielle Beispiele für die durch einen Alkenylrest substituierten
aromatischen Verbindungen sind mono-, di- oder polyaromatische Vinylverbindungen, beispielsweise Styrol- oder Vinyl-

naphthalin. Bevorzugt sind Styrol und substituierte Styrole, wie alkylierte oder halogenierte Styrole. Der Alkylrest in den
alkylierten Styrolen, der als Substituent am aromatischen Ring oder am α-Kohlenstoffatorn vorliegen kann, enthält 1 bis 20,
vorzugsweise 1 bis 6 Kohlenstoffatome.
Spezielle Beispiele für die konjugierten Dienverbindungen sind Butadien, alkylsubstituierte Butadiene mit 1 bis etwa 6 Kohlenstoffatomen
im Alkylrest, wie Isopren, Piperylen und 2,3-Dimethylbutadien.
Zwei oder mehrere unterschiedliche mit einem Alkenylrest substituierte aromatische Verbindungen und ebenso
zwei oder mehrere unterschiedliche konjugierte Dienverbindungen können zu den entsprechenden Copolymer!säten polymerisiert
werden. Die Mehrzahl der bekannten Copolymerisate sind aus je einem Monomeren hergestellt.
Eine Anzahl von hydrierten Copolymer!säten aus einer durch einen
Alkenylrest substituierten aromatischen Verbindung und einem konjugierten Diolefin sind als wirksame Viskositätsindexverbesserer
(Vi-Verbesserer) für Schmieröle bekannt.
In den US-PSen 3 554 911, 3 630 905 und 3 772 169 ist die Verwendung
von hydrierten Random-Copolymer!säten aus Butadien und
Styrol als Vi-Verbesserer für Schmieröle beschrieben. Diese Copolymerisate werden nach üblichen Verfahren durch Random-Copolymerisation
von Butadien und Styrol und anschließende partielle Hydrierung hergestellt.

Die hydrierten Copolymerisate haben ein Molekulargewicht von etwa 25 000 bis etwa 125 000, vorzugsweise etwa 30 000 bis
etwa 100 000. Die Molekulargewichte beziehen sich auf kinetische Molekulargewichtswerte und entsprechen innerhalb des experimentellen
Fehlers den mittleren Molekulargewichten. Diese Copolymerisate enthalten etwa 30 bis etwa 44 Gewichtsprozent
Butadien-Einheiten und etwa 70 bis etwa 56 Gewichtsprozent Styrol-Einheiten. Vor dem Hydrieren beträgt der Vinylgruppengehalt
der Copolymerisate weniger als 35 Gewichtsprozent. Die Olefingruppe wird beim Hydrieren zu mindestens 95 Gewichtsprozent,
die Phenylgruppe höchstens zu 5 Gewichtsprozent hydriert. Als Zusatzmittel werden die Copolymerisate gewöhnlich in einer
Menge von etwa 0,5 bis etwa 20 Gewichtsprozent im fertigen Schmiermittel verwendet. Etwa 1 bis etwa 15 Gewichtsprozent
Zusatzcopolymerisate werden bevorzugt verwendet.
In der ÜS-PS 3 775 329 ist die Verwendung von hydrierten Tapered-Copolymerisäten aus Isopren und aromatischen Monovinylverbindungen
als Vi-Verbesserer für Schmieröle beschrieben. Diese Copolymerisate betreffen sowohl Einzeln- als auch
Mehrfach-Tapered-Copolymerisate.
Diese speziellen Copolymerisate werden aus Isopren und einer mono-, di- oder polyaromatischen Vinylverbindung, wie Styrol

Styrole. Dabei sind Copolymerisate aus Isopren und Styrol- und/oder p-tert.-Butylstyrol als sehr wertvoll be-

schrieben. Diese Copolymerisate werden nach üblichen Verfahren
durch Copolymerisation der entsprechenden Monomeren und anschließende Hydrierung bis zu einem bestimmten Hydrierungsgrad hergestellt. Vorzugsweise werden mindestens 90 %, insbesondere 95 % der ursprünglich in den Tapered-Copolymerisaten
vorhandenen olefinischen Doppelbindungen hydriert. Vorzugsweise werden weniger als 10 %f insbesondere weniger als 5 % der
aromatischen Reste hydriert.
Die Molekulargewichte der Tapered-Cöpolymerisate können in
einem verhältnismäßig weiten Bereich, beispielsweise von
20 000 bis 500 000, bevorzugt von 20 000 bis 400 000, liegen. Gute Ergebnisse werden mit Copolymerisaten mit einem Molekulargewicht
von 20 000 bis etwa 125 000 erhalten. Die Molekulargewichte sind als Zahlenmittel der Molekulargewichte ausgedrückt,
die durch das osmotische Druck- oder Tritiumzählverfahr
en bestimmt wurden. Bei Verwendung als Zusatzmittel werden die hydrierten Tapered-Copolymerisate gewöhnlich in einer Menge
von etwa 0,1 bis etwa 15 Gewichtsprozent, vorzugsweise von etwa 0,1 bis etwa 9 Gewichtsprozent, verwendet. Der bevorzugte
Konzentrationsbereich der hydrierten Tapered-Copolymerisate in einem Schmiermittel beträgt etwa 1 bis etwa 6 Gewichtsprozent*
In der US-PS 3 752 767 ist die Verwendung von hydrierten
Random-Copolymerisaten aus einer konjugierten Dienverbindung und einer aromatischen Vinylverbindung als Vi-Verbesserer beschrieben,
in denen die Dienverbindung und/oder die aromatische Vinylverbindung mindestens einen JQ.kylrest als Substituenten
enthalten.

Diese Copolymerisate leiten sich von einem konjugierten Diolefin
mit 4 bis 6 Kohlenstoffatomen und von einem Styrol ab, wobei das Diolefin und/oder das Styrol mindestens einen Alkylrest
mit 1 bis 6 Kohlenstoffatomen enthält. Spezielle Beispiele für die Diolefine sind Piperylen, 2,3-Dimethylbutadien,
Isopren und Butadien. Spezielle Beispiele für das Styrol sind Styrol und alkylierte Styrole. Die alkylierten Styrole sind
durch einen Alkylrest entweder am a-Kohlenstoffatom, wie
a-Methylstyrol, oder am aromatischen Ring, wie p-Methylstyrol,
substituiert. Das molare Verhältnis zwischen der konjugierten Dien- und der aromatischen Vinylverbindung im Copolymer!sat
hängt von der Art der aromatischen Vinylverbindung ab, da die öllöslichkeit von der Anwesenheit oder Abwesenheit eines Alkylrestes
in der aromatischen Vinylverbindung abhängt. Bei ausschließlicher Verwendung von Styrol als aromatischer Vinylverbindung
werden bis zu etwa 70 Molprozent Styrol verwendet. Es können bis zu etwa 90 Molprozent einer aromatischen Vinylverbindung,
bei spiel sv/ei se p-tert.-Butylstyrol, verwendet werden,
die einen Alkylrest mit ausreichender Öllöslichkeit enthält. Copolymerisate mit Monomerenverhältnissen von 1 : 99 bis
90 : 10, bevorzugt 5 : 95 bis 85 : 15, insbesondere 30 : 70 bis 75 : 25 der aromatischen Vinylverbindung zur konjugierten
Dienverbindung sind besonders wertvoll.
Diese Copolymerisate werden nach üblichen Verfahren durch Random-Copolymerisation
einer aromatischen Vinylverbindung und einer konjugierten Dienverbindung und anschließende partielle
Hydrierung hergestellt. In den hydrierten.Copolymer!saten sind

mindestens 50, vorzugsweise mindestens 95 Gewichtsprozent der
olefinischen Doppelbindungen hydriert. Vorzugsweise sind weniger als 10, insbesondere weniger als 5 % der aromatischen
Reste im Endprodukt hydriert. Die hydrierten Copolymerisate haben ein Zahlenmittel des Molekulargewichts von etwa 40 000
bis etwa 500 000, vorzugsweise von etwa 40 000 bis etwa 150 000. Bei Verwendung als Zusatzmittel werden gewöhnlich
etwa 0,1 bis etwa 15? vorzugsweise etwa 1 bis etwa 10 Gewichtsprozent
der Copolymerisate, bezogen auf das Schmiermittel, verwendet.
In den US-PSen 3 668 125 und 3 763 044 ist die Verwendung von hydrierten Blockcopolymerisäten aus einer konjugierten Dienverbindung
und einer aromatischen Vinylverbindung als Vi-Verbesserer
für Schmieröle beschrieben.
In der US-PS 3 668 125 sind.hydrierte Blockcopolymerisate mit
■ wenigstens drei, im wesentlichen einheitlichen Polymerisatblöcken C und D beschrieben. Der Block C stellt einen Polymerisatblock
aus einer hydrierten aromatischen Monovinylverbindung, wie Styrol, mit einem mittleren Molekulargewicht von etwa
5 000 bis etwa 50 000 dar. Der Block D stellt einen Polymer! satblock aus einer hydrierten konjugierten Dienverbindung,
wie Butadien oder Isopren, mit einem mittleren Molekulargewicht von etwa 10 000 bis etwa 1 000 000 dar. Im Block C sind
wenigstens 50 % der ursprünglichen aromatischen Doppelbindungen
und im Block D wenigstens 50 0A der ursprünglichen Doppelbindungen
der Dienverbindungen hydriert.

Diese Blockcopolymerisate können entweder eine lineare oder verzweigte Struktur haben. Das Blockcopolymerisat · mit der
linearen Struktur wird durch die allgemeine Formel C-(D-C)n,
das Blockcopolymerisat mit der verzweigten Konfiguration durch die allgemeine Formel C-D-(D-C)n dargestellt. In den vorstehenden
allgemeinen Formeln bedeutet η eine ganze Zahl mit einem Wert von 1 bis 5. Einzelheiten der Herstellung dieser Vi-Verbesserer
sind in der US-PS 3 668 125 beschrieben. Diese hydrierten Blockcopolymerisate werden in Schmiermitteln in einer
Menge von etwa 1,0 bis etwa 4,5 Gewichtsprozent, bezogen auf das Schmiermittel, verwendet.
In der US-PS 3 763 044 sind Blockcopolymerisate der allgemeinen Formel A-B beschrieben, in der A einen Polymerisatblock
aus Polystyrol oder hydriertem Polystyrol und B einen Block aus hydriertem Polyisopren bedeutet. Der Block A hat ein
mittleres Molekulargewicht von etwa 5 000 bis etwa 50 000, vorzugsweise von etwa 9 000 bis etwa 35 000. Der Block B hat
ein mittleres Molekulargewicht von etwa 10 000 bis etwa 1 000 000, vorzugsweise 15 000 bis 200 000. Die Blockcopolymerisate
werden zur Absättigung der olefinischen Doppelbindungen zu mindestens 50 56, vorzugsweise zu mindestens 80 %, hydriert.
Der Polymerisatblock A kann zur Absättigung der aromatischen Reste zu mindestens 50 %, vorzugsweise zu mindestens
80 %, hydriert werden. Einzelheiten der Herstellung dieser Vi-Verbesserer
sind in der US-PS 3 763 044 beschrieben. Diese hydrierten Blockcopolymerisate werden in Schmiermitteln in
einer Menge von etwa 0,75 bis etwa 5 Gewichtsprozent, bezogen
auf das Schmiermittel, verwendet. _l

In den vorstehenden Patentschriften sind also sowohl im allgemeinen
als auch im speziellen Mischpolymerisate aus einer durch einen Alkenylrest substituierten aromatischen Verbindung
und einer konjugierten Dienverbindung als wertvolle Vi-Verbesserer beschrieben, die zur Herstellung der erfindungsgemäß
en Zusatzkonzentrate und Schmiermittel verwendet werden können.
Die Bezeichnung "synthetisches, keine Ester enthaltendes Schmieröl" betrifft Öle mit schmierender Viskosität, die durch
synthetische Verfahren hergestellt wurden und nicht auf Verbindungen beruhen, die Esterbindungen aufweisen. Insbesondere betrifft
diese Bezeichnung synthetische Schmieröle auf der Basis von alkylierten aromatischen Verbindungen, Polyolefinen,
Chlorfluorkohlenwasserstoffen oder Polyphenyläthern..
Die synthetischen Schmieröle auf der Basis von alkylierten aromatischen
Verbindungen, die zur Herstellung der erfindungsgemäßen Mittel einsetzbar sind, bedeuten Öle mit schmierender
Viskosität, die durch Alkylierung von aromatischen Kohlenwasserstoffen erhalten werden. Diese Öle können durch Umsetzung
eines Monoolefins mit einer aromatischen Verbindung, wie einem alkylierten Benzol, Naphthalin oder Tetrahydronaphthalin,
in Gegenwart eines Alkylierungskatalysators, wie eines Friedel-Crafts-Katalysators,
hergestellt werden. Ein weiteres Verfahren zur Herstellung dieser synthetischen Schmieröle ist die
Alkylierung einer aromatischen Verbindung mit einer halogenierten Alkylverbindung, wie einem chlorierten Paraffin, in Ge-

genwart eines Friedel-Crafts-Katalysators. In Abhängigkeit
von den speziellen Reaktionsbedingungen v/erden mono-, di- trioder höher-alkylierte aromatische Produkte erhalten. Gewöhnlich
sind die Produkte Gemische von verschiedenen alkylierten Produkten. Dieser allgemeine Typ der synthetischen
Schmieröle ist bekannt. V/eitere Einzelheiten ihrer Herstellung und Eigenschaften sind in den US-PSen 2 410 381, 2 424 956,
3 288 716, 3 598 739, 3 661 780, 3 725 280, 3 775 325, 3 808 134, 3 812 035 und 3 812 O36 und den in ihnen zitierten
Druckschriften beschrieben.
Der Polyolefintyp der synthetischen Schmieröle, der zur Herstellung
der erfindungsgemäßen Mittel einsetzbar ist, betrifft
Öle mit schmierender Viskosität, die durch Polymerisation von Olefinen mit 3 bis 20 Kohlenstoffatomen oder einer
höheren Zahl von Kohlenstoffatomen erhalten werden. Diese Öle können Homopolymerisate, Copolymerisate, Terpolymerisate oder
deren Gemische sein, die nach bekannten Polymerisationsverfahren erhalten werden. Dieser allgemeine Typ der synthetischen
Schmieröle ist in den US-PSen 2 500 161, 2 500 I63, 3 121 061, 3 149 178, 3 682 823, 3 725 498, 3 763 244,
3 780 128 und 3 843 537 und den in ihnen zitierten Druckschriften beschrieben.
Der Polyphenyläthertyp der synthetischen Schmieröle, der zur Herstellung der erfindungsgemäßen Mittel einsetzbar ist, betrifft
Öle mit schmierender Viskosität, die durch geradkettiges Verknüpfen von zwei oder mehreren Benzolringen über

Sauerstoffatome erhalten werden. Die Eigenschaften dieser synthetischen Schmieröle können durch Veränderung der Kettenlänge,
der Verknüpfungsstelle am Benzolring (o-, m- oder
p-Stellung) oder durch Einführen verschiedener inerter Substituenten
in die Phenylgruppen variiert werden. Spezielle Beispiele für übliche Substituenten für die Phenylgruppen sind
Alkylreste, Brom- oder Chloratome. Das übliche Verfahren zur Herstellung des Polyphenyläthertyps der synthetischen Schmieröle
ist eine Ullmann-Reaktion. Dieser allgemeine Typ der
synthetischen Schmieröle ist an sich bekannt und ist in den US-PSen 3 006 852, 3 198 734, 3 203 997, 3 290 249, 3 374 175,
3 358 040, 3 374 175, 3 406 207, 3 423 469, 3 429 816, 3 441 615, 3 449 442, 3 451 061, 3 476 815, 3 565 960,
3 567 783, 3 704 277 und 3 706 803 und in den in ihnen zitierten Druckschriften beschrieben.
Die Bezeichnung "Polyphenyläthertyp" umfaßt ebenfalls Schmieröle
vom Polyphenylthioäthertyp sowie vom Polyphenylätherthioäthertyp, die zur Herstellung der erfindungsgemäßen Mittel
einsetzbar sind. Diese Thioäther und Ätherthioäther unterscheiden sich von den vorstehend genannten Polyphenyläthern dadurch,
daß entweder alle oder ein Teil der Sauerstoffbrückenatome
durch Schwefelatome ersetzt sind. Diese synthetischen Schmieröle sind bekannt. ¥eitere Informationen können den
US-PSen 3 647 752, 3 634 521, 3 490 737, 3 455 846, 3 452 101,
3 450 740, 3 426 075, 3 384 670, 3 321 579, 3 321 403 und 3 311 665 und den in ihnen zitierten Druckschriften entnommen
werden.

Die zur Herstellung der erfindungsgemäßen Mittel verwendbaren synthetischen Schmieröle von Chlorfluorkohlenwasserstofftyp
betreffen Öle mit schmierender Viskosität, die aus linearen
Kohlenwasserstoffpolymerisaten erhalten werden, in denen die
Wasserstoffatome vollständig durch Chlor- und Fluoratome ersetzt sind. Die als Schmiermittel am meisten gebräuchlichen
Chlorfluorkohlenwasserstoff-Polymerisate mit niedrigem Molekulargewicht
werden durch Polymerisation oder Telopolymerisation von Chlortrifluoräthylen hergestellt. Dieser allgemeine
Typ von synthetischen Schmierölen ist bekannt. Weitere Einzelheiten
der Herstellung sind in den US-Psen 2 636 907 1

Die zur Herstellung der erfindungsgemäßen Mittel wertvollen
synthetischen Schmieröle vom Estertyp betreffen Öle mit schmierender
Viskosität, die durch Verestern von mono-, di-, trioder höheren Carbonsäuren mit primären, sekundären oder tertiären
Alkoholen erhalten werden. Diese Alkohole können als Mono-, Di-, Tri- oder Polyhydroxyalkohole vorliegen. Weitere bekannte
synthetische Schmieröle mit Estergruppen, die aus anorganischen Säuren erhalten werden, wie Phosphorsäure- oder Kieselsäureester,
sind weniger geeignet zur Herstellung der erfindungsgemäßen
Mittelc Die synthetischen Schmieröle des Carbonsäure
estertyp s sind dagegen bevorzugt einsetzbare Öle zur Herstellung der erfindungsgemäßen Mittel.

Die synthetischen Schmieröle vom Estertyp beruhen je nach den AusgangsVerbindungen und den zu ihrer Herstellung angewandten
Verfahren auf drei verschiedenen Gruppen von Estern. Die erste Gruppe besteht aus Estern zweibasiger Säuren, die
durch Umsetzung von geradkettigen zweibasigen Säuren, wie Sebacinsäure, mit primären verzweigten Alkoholen, wie 2-Äthylhexanol,
erhalten werden. Die zweite Gruppe besteht aus Estern von Polyolen des Neopentyltyps mit einbasigen Säuren.
Übliche Polyole vom Neopentyltyp, die zur Herstellung dieser
Gruppe von synthetischen Schmierölen verwendet werden, sind Neopentylglykol, Trimethyloläthan, Trimethylolpropan und
Pentaerythrit. Die dritte Gruppe besteht aus komplexen Estern, die entweder durch Umsetzung eines Halbesters einer zweibasigen
Säure und eines Glykols oder durch Umsetzung einer langkettigen einbasigen Säuren und eines Glykolhalbesters einer
zweibasigen Säure erhalten werden.
Der Estertyp zweibasiger Säuren von synthetischen Schmierölen entspricht der allgemeinen Formel

Polyolester vom Neopentyltyp sind eine Gruppe von sterisch
gehinderten Estern einbasiger Carbonsäuren und Polyolen, die sich von Neopentan /C(CH·*)^/ ableiten. Die vorstehenden Polyole
und einbasigen Säuren haben im allgemeinen etwa 3 bis etwa 18 Kohlenstoffatome.
Der komplexe Estertyp synthetischer Schmieröle kann zwei allgemeinen
Formeln entsprechen. Die erste Gruppe entspricht der allgemeinen Formel

in der PA einen Rest darstellt, der von der Veresterung eines primären Alkohols stammt, DBA einen Rest darstellt, der von
der Veresterung einer zweibasigen Säure stammt und G einen Rest darstellt, der von der Veresterung eines Glykols stammt.
Die zweite Gruppe entspricht der allgemeinen Formel

in der MBA einen Rest darstellt, der von der Veresterung einer einbasigen Säure stammt, G einen Rest darstellt, der von
der Veresterung eines Glykols stammt und DBA einen Rest darstellt, der von der Veresterung einer zweibasigen Säure stammt.
Spezielle Beispiele der komplexen Ester der ersten Gruppe sind Öle mit schmierender Viskosität, die durch Veresterung
von 2 Mol Sebacinsäure mit 1 Mol Polyäthylenglykol (Molekulargewicht: 200) unter Bildung eines Halbesters der zweibasigen

Säure erhalten werden. Dieser Halbester wird weiterhin mit 2 Mol 2-Äthylhexanol verestert. Spezielle Beispiele für komplexe
Ester der zweiten Gruppe sind Öle mit schmierender Viskosität, die durch Veresterung von 2 Mol Polyäthylenglykol
(Molekulargewicht: 200) mit 1 Mol Sebacinsäure unter Bildung eines Glykolhalbesters erhalten werden. Diese Halbester werden
anschließend mit 2 Mol Pelargonsäure verestert.
Verschiedene synthetische Schmiermittel sind in R. C. Gunderson und A. ¥. Hart, Synthetic Lubricants, Reinhold, New York
1962; E. R. Braithwaite, Lubrication and Lubricants,Elsevier
Publishing Co., New York 1967, Kapitel 4, S. 166 bis 196 und
in M.W. Ranney, Synthetic Lubricants, Noyes Data Corp., Park Ridge, New Jersey, 1972, beschrieben. Diese Veröffentlichungen
sowie die vorstehenden Patentschriften begründen den Stand der Technik hinsichtlich der Kennzeichnung sowohl allgemeiner
als auch spezieller Typen von synthetischen Schmiermitteln, die zur Herstellung der erfindungsgemäßen Mittel verwendet
werden können. Weitere Beispiele geeigneter synthetischer Schmieröle werden nachstehend erläutert.
Die Mineralschmieröle, die zur Herstellung der erfindungsgemäßen
Mittel verwendet werden können, sind im allgemeinen mit Lösungsmittel oder Säuren behandelte Mineralöle vom Paraffin-,
Naphthen- oder gemischten Paraffin-Naphthen-Typ. Diese Typen
werden nachstehend eingehender erläutert.

Das erfindungsgemäße Zusatzkonzentrat kann weitere an sich
bekannte Schmiermittelzusätze enthalten. Eine kurze Abhandlung üblicher Zusätze für Schmiermittel ist in C. V. Smalheer
und R. Kennedy Smith, Lubricant Additives, Lezius-Hiles Co., Cleveland, Ohio ,1967, und M. ¥. Ranney, Lubricant Additives,
Noyes Data Corp., Park Ridge, New Jersey,1973, enthalten. Diese
Veröffentlichungen begründen den Stand der Technik hinsichtlich
der Kennzeichnung sowohl allgemeiner als auch spezieller Typen weiterer Zusatzmittel* die in Verbindung mit
den erfindungsgemäß verwendeten Zusatzmitteln verwendet werden können.
Spezielle Beispiele für diese zusätzlichen Zusatzstoffe sind im allgemeinen Detergentien vom Asche enthaltenden Typ,
aschefreie Dispersants, zusätzliche Vi-Verbesserer, Stockpunkt serniedriger, Antischaummittel, Hochdruckzusätze sowie
Verschleiß, Rost, Oxidation und Korrosion verhindernde Mittel.
Asche enthaltende Detergentien sind bekannte neutrale und basische
Alkali- oder Erdalkalimetallsalze von Sulfonsäuren, Carbonsäuren oder organischen Phosphor enthaltenden Säuren.
Die bevorzugten Salze dieser Säuren sind die Lithium-, Natrium-, Kalium-, Magnesium-, Calcium-, Strontium- und Bariumsalze,
wobei die Calcium- und Bariumsalze am meisten bevorzugt sind. Der Ausdruck "basische Salze" betrifft Metallsalze, in denen
das Metall in einer stöchiometrisch größeren als zur Neutralisation
der Säure notwendigen Menge vorliegt. Die überbasi-

sehen Calcium- und Bariumsalze von Sulfonsäuren auf Erdölbasis
sind typische Beispiele für diese basischen Salze.
Als Hochdruckzusätze, Korrosion und Oxidation verhindernde Mittel kommen chlorierte aliphatische Kohlenwasserstoffe, wie
chlorierte Wachse, organische Sulfide und Polysulfide, wie Benzyldisulfid, Bis-(chlorbenzyl)-disulfid, Dibutyltetrasulfid,
sulfuriertes Spermöl, der sulfurierte Methylester der Ölsäure, sulfuriertes Alkylphenol, sulfuriertes Dipenten, sulfuriertes
Terpen oder sulfurierte Diels-Alder-Addukte, phosphosulfurierte
Kohlenwasserstoffe, wie das Reaktionsprodukt von Phosphorsulfid mit Terpentin oder Olsäuremethylester,
phosphorhaltige Ester, wie Phosphite mit zwei und drei Kohlenwasserstoff
res ten, beispielsweise Dibutyl-, Diheptyl-, Dicyclohexyl-, Pentylphenyl-, Dipentylphenyl-, Tridecyl- und Distearylphosphit
oder durch Polypropylen substituiertes Phenolphosphit, Metallthiocarbamate, wie Zinndioctyldithiocarbamat
oder Bariumheptylphenoldithiocarbamat, und Metallsalze der II. Gruppe des Periodensystems von Dithiophosphorsäure, wie
Zinkdicyclohexyldithiophosphat und die Zinksalze der Dithiophosphorsäure, in Frage.
Aschefreie Detergentien oder Dispersants sind als Schmiermittelzusätze
ausführlich in den vorstehenden Veröffentlichungen von Smalheer et al. und Ranney sowie in den darin angegebenen
Literaturzitaten beschrieben. Spezielle Beispiele für bevorzugt verwendete Typen von aschefreien Dispersants sind Reaktionsprodukte

von Diacetonacrylamid und Alkylacrylaten oder Methacrylaten sowie Kondensationsprodukte von Alkylphenolen mit Formaldehyd
und Aminen.
Zusätzliche Vi-Verbesserer sind beispielsweise polymerisierte
und copolymerisierte Alkylmethacrylate und Polyisobutylene.
Bei Verwendung weiterer Zusatzstoffe in den erfindungsgemäßen
Zusatzkonzentraten werden sie in solchen Mengen zugesetzt, wie sie normalerweise in fertigem Schmiermittel vorliegen. Sie
werden im allgemeinen in einer Menge von etwa 0,001 bis etwa 25 Gewichtsprozent, bezogen auf das Gesamtschmiermittel, je
nach der Beschaffenheit des Zusatzstoffes und des Schmiermittels verwendet. Beispielsweise können aschefreie Dispersants
in einer Menge von etwa 0,1 bis etwa 10 % und metallhaltige Detergentien in einer Menge von etwa 0,1 bis etwa 20 Gewichts-

prozent verwendet werden. Weitere Zusatzstoffe, wie Stockpunkts erniedriger, Hochdruckzusätze, Vi-Verbesserer oder Antischaummittel,
werden normalerweise in Mengen von etwa 0,001 bis etwa 10 Gewichtsprozent, bezogen auf das Gesamtmittel, je
nach der Beschaffenheit und dem Verwendungszweck des speziellen Zusatzstoffes verwendet.
Schmiermittel, die das erfindungsgemäße Zusatzkonzentrat als
Zusatz enthalten, enthalten einen größeren Anteil eines Schmier öls und einen kleineren Anteil des Zusatzkonzentrats. Das Zusatzkonzentrat
liegt in einer solchen Menge vor, daß der Viskositätsindex des Schmiermittels verbessert wird. Im allgemeinen
werden Zusatzkonzentrate in einer Menge von etwa 1 bis etwa 95 Gewichtsprozent, bezogen auf das Gesaratgewicht des Schmiermittels,
verwendet. Die optimale Konzentration für einen speziellen Zusatzstoff hängt im wesentlichen von den Anforderungen ab, die an das Schmiermittel gestellt werden. In den meisten Anwendungsbereichen sind Schmiermittel mit etwa 0,05 bis
etwa 10 Gewichtsprozent Zusatzkonzentrat verwendbar, obwohl für bestimmte Anwendungsbereiche, wie Getrieben oder Dieselmotoren,
Schmiermittel mit bis zu 15 S^ oder mehr Zusatzkonzentrat bevorzugt
sein können.
Die erfindungsgemäßen Zusatzkonzentrate können wirksam in verschiedenen
Schmiermitteln, die für verschiedene Verwendungszwecke hergestellt wurden, verwendet werden. Deshalb sind
Schmiermittel, die das erfindungsgemäße Zusatzkonzentrat enthalten, als Kurbelgehäuseschmieröle für funken- und kompres-

sionsgezündete Explosionsmotoren, einschließlich Automobil-
und Lastwagenmotoren, Zweitaktmotoren, Flugzeugkolbenmotoren, Marine- oder Schwachlastdieselmotoren einsetzbar. Auch Flüssigkeiten
für automatische Getriebe, Achsenschmiermittel, Getriebeschmiermittel, Metallbearbeitungsschmiermittel, Hydraulikflüssigkeiten
und andere Schmieröle und Schmierfette können durch Einverleibung der erfindungsgemäßen Amid- oder Thioamidzusatzstoffe
verbessert werden.
Die erfindungsgemäßen Konzentrate werden wirksam bei Basisschmierölen
aus verschiedensten Quellen verwendet. Es sind Basisöle sowohl aus natürlichen als auch synthetischen Quellen
zur Herstellung der erfindungsgemäßen Schmiermittel einsetzbar.
Spezielle Beispiele für natürliche Öle sind tierische Öle, wie
Specköl, Pflanzenöle, wie Rizinusöl, und Mineralöle, wie lösungsmittel- oder säurebehandelte Mineralöle auf Paraffin-,
Naphthen- oder Paraffin-Naphthen-Gemischbasis. Öle mit schmierender Viskosität, die aus Steinkohle oder Ölschiefer stammen,
sind ebenso wertvoll.
Viele synthetische Schmiermittel sind bekannt und wertvoll als Basisschmieröle für Schmiermittel, die die erfindungsgemäßen
Zusatzkonzentrate enthalten.Abhandlungen synthetischer Schmiermittel

beschrieben. Diese Veröffentlichungen dienen zur Kennzeichnung sowohl der allgemeinen als auch speziellen Typen von
synthetischen Schmiermitteln, die in Verbindung mit den erfindungsgemäßen Zusatzkonzentraten verwendet werden können.
Spezielle Beispiele für wertvolle synthetische Basisschmieröle sind Öle auf Kohlenwasserstoffbasis, die durch Polymerisation
oder Copolymerisation von Olefinen erhalten werden, wie Propylen- oder Isobutylen-Polymerisate oder Propylen-Isobutylen-Copolymerisate,
oder Öle auf der Basis von halogenierten Kohlenv/asserstoffen, wie chloriertes Polybutylen. Weitere
wertvolle synthetische Basisöle leiten sich von Alkylbenzolen,
oder Tetradecylbenzol,
wie Dodecylbenzol /und Polyphenylverbindungen, wie Biphenyl-
oder Terphenylverbindungen, ab.
Eine weitere bekannte Gruppe von synthetischen Schmierölen, die als Basisöle für die erfindungsgemäßen Schmiermittel einsetzbar
sind, sind die Alkylenoxid-Polymerisate und -Copolymerisate.
Diese Öle werden durch Modifizierung der endständigen Hydroxylgruppen dieser Polymerisate, beispielsweise
• durch Verestern oder Veräthern der Hydroxylgruppen, erhalten. Wertvolle Basisöle können aus polymerisiertem Äthylenoxid
oder Propylenoxid oder aus Copolymerisaten von Äthylenoxid und Propylenoxid erhalten werden. Wertvolle Basisöle sind die
Alkyl- oder Aryläther der polyraerisierten Alkylenoxide, v/ie der Methylpolyisopropylenglykoläther, der Diphenyläther

des Polyäthylenglykols oder der Diäthyläther des Polypropylenglykols.
Eine weitere wertvolle Gruppe von synthetischen Basis Schmieröl en wird bei der Veresterung der endständigen Hydroxylgruppen
von polymerisieren Alkylenoxiden mit Mono- oder Polycarbonsäuren erhalten. Spezielle Beispiele dieser Gruppe
sind die Essigsäureester oder gemischten C^-Cg-Fettsäureester
oder Cj-C-v-Oxosäurediester des Tetraäthylenglykols.
Eine v/eitere geeignete Gruppe von synthetischen Schmierölen umfaßt die Ester von Dicarbonsäuren, wie Phthalsäure, Bernsteinsäure,
Ölsäure, Azelainsäure, Korksäure oder Sebacinsäure, mit den verschiedensten Alkoholen. Spezielle Beispiele für
diese Ester-sind Adipinsäuredibutylester und Sebacinsäuredi-(2-äthylhexyl)-ester.
Komplexe Ester gesättigter Fettsäuren und Dihydroxyverbindungen, wie 3-Hydroxy-2,2-dimethylpropyl-2,2-dimethy-lhydacrylat
(vgl. US-PS 3 759 862), sind ebenso wertvoll. Öle auf Siliconbasis, wie Polyalkyl-, Polyaryl-,
Polyalkoxy- oder Polyaryloxysiloxanöle und Silicatöle, beispielsweise Tetraäthylsilicat, stellen eine weitere wertvolle
Gruppe synthetischer Schmiermittel dar. Weitere synthetische Schmieröle sind flüssige Ester von Phosphor enthaltend
den Säuren, wie Tricresylphosphat, oder polymerisierte Tetrahydro furanverbindungen .
Nicht raffinierte, raffinierte und erneut raffinierte Öle des vorstehenden Typs sind wertvolle Basisschmieröle für die
Herstellung der erfindungsgemäßen Schmiermittel. Nicht raffinierte
Öle werden direkt aus natürlichen, oder synthetischen

Quellen ohne weitere Reinigung oder Behandlung erhalten. Spezielle
Beispiele für nicht raffinierte Öle, die ohne weitere Behandlung verwendet werden, sind Schieferöl, das direkt durch
Erhitzen von Ölschiefer erhalten wird, Mineralöl, das direkt bei der Destillation von Erdölen erhalten wird, oder Esteröle,
die direkt aus einem Veresterungsverfahren erhalten werden.
Raffinierte Öle ähneln nicht raffinierten Ölen, wobei sie jedoch zur Verbesserung einer oder mehrerer Eigenschaften in
einem oder mehreren Reinigungsschritten weiterbehandelt wurden. Viele derartige Reinigungsverfahrenwie Lösungsmittelextraktion,
Extraktiv η mit Säuren oder Basen, Filtration oder Perkolation sind bekannt. Erneut raffinierte Öle werden durch
verschiedene Verfahren erhalten, die den Raffinationsverfahren zur Herstellung raffinierter Öle ähneln. Die erneut raffinierten
Öle sind als regenerierte Altöle bekannt, die durch zusätzliche Verfahren zur Entfernung von verbrauchten Zusatzstoffen
und Ölzersetzungsprodukten behandelt wurden.
Die Beispiele erläutern die Erfindung. Prozentangaben beziehen
sich auf das Gewicht, sofern nichts anderes angegeben ist.
Ein Gemisch von 85 g eines alkylierten aromatischen synthetischen Schmieröls und 15 g eines hydrierten Random-Copolymerisats
aus Butadien und Styrol rait einem Molekulargewicht von etwa 70 000 und einem Butadien-Einheitengehalt von etwa
40 Gewichtsprozent wird etwa 2 Stunden auf 1200C erhitzt. Es
wird ein 15prozentiges Zusatzkonzentrat erhalten.

Das alkylierte aromatische Basisschmieröl ist ein im Handel erhältliches mono-alkyliertes Benzol mit einem Molekulargewicht
von etwa 231 "bis. 241, das überwiegend aus Cj 2-alkyliertem
Benzol "besteht.
Zur Herstellung eines in einem automatischen Getriebe verwendbaren
Schmiermittels werden 100 % neutrales Mineralschmieröl als Basisschmieröl und folgende Zusatzstoffe verwendet:
8 % des vorstehenden 15prozentigen Zusatzkonzentrats,
0,5 % einer Mineralöllösung eines Vi-Verbesserers, das aus einem Estergemisch eines Styrol-Maleinsäure-Copolymerisats gemäß
US-PS 3 702 300 erhalten wird, und 6 % eines Konzentrats,
auf der Basis eines MineralSchmieröls, das folgende Bestandteile
enthält:
(a) 66 % eines aschefreien Dispersants, hergestellt durch Umsetzung
von Polyisobutenylbernsteinsäureanhydrid mit Tetra äthyl enpentamin im Äquivalentverhältnis 1 : 1 gemäß
US-PS 3 172 892;
(b) 11,8 % Zinkisooctyldithiophosphat als Oxidationsinhibitor;
(c) 16,47 % überbasisches Bariumsulfonat als Detergens;
(d) 3,24 % eines üblichen Reibungsmodifizierungsmittels auf
der Basis von Polyoxyäthylen (2) Tallow Amine (Ethomeen
T/12) und
(e) 0,33 % eines üblichen Antischaummittels auf Siliconbasis.
Gemäß Beispiel 1 wird aus dem 15prozentigen Zusatzkonzentrat
ein Schmiermittel hergestellt, das 10 % des Zusatzkonzentrats

enthält. Ein zusätzliches Schmiermittel wird unter Verwendung eines Zusatzkonzentrats hergestellt, das 12 % des Copolymerisate
enthält.
Gemäß Beispiel 1 wird zur Herstellung eines 15prozentigen Zusatzkonzentrats
ein hydriertes Tapered-Copolymerisat aus Isopropen-
und Styrol verwendet, das gemäß US-PS 3 775 329, Versuch B hergestellt wurde. Dieses Konzentrat wird zur Herstellung
eines in automatischen Getrieben verwendbaren Schmiermittels verwendet.
Ein 15prozentiges Zusatzkonzentrat eines Vi-Verbesserers wird aus 85 g eines synthetischen Schmieröls auf Polyisobutylenbasis
(Molekulargewicht: 900) und 15 g eines hydrierten Random-Copolymerisats
aus Butadien und Styrol gemäß Beispiel 1 hergestellt.
Zur Herstellung eines Zusatzkonzentrats werden 69,75 % des Konzentrats
gemäß Beispiel 4 und 30,25 % eines Konzentrats auf Mineralölbasis verwendet, das folgende Bestandteile enthält:
(a) 58,4 % eines Dispersants auf der Basis eines Reaktionsproduktes von Polyisobutenylbernsteinsäureanhydrid, Pentaerythrit,
einem Poly(oxyäthylen)(oxypropylen)glycerin und
Polyäthylenpolyamin gemäß US-PS 3 836 470;
(b) 16,9 %Zinkisobutylamyldithiophosphat als Oxidationsinhibitor;

(c) 22,3 % eines/basischen Calciuinsulf onats als Detergens und
(d) O,07 % eines üblichen Antischaummittels.
Beispiel 6
Zur Herstellung eines Schmiermittels, das als Kurbelgehäuseschmiermittel
verwendet werden kann, werden ein alkyliertes aromatisches Basisschraieröl und 23,8 % des Konzentrats gemäß
Beispiel 5 verwendet.
Das BasisSchmieröl besteht überwiegend aus di- und trialkylierten
Benzolen, die durch Alkylierung von 1 Mol überwiegend monoalkylierter Cj,-C1^-Benzole mit 2 Mol 1-Octen in Gegenwart
von 1 Gewichtsprozent Aluminiumtrichlorid als Katalysator hergestellt wurden.
Zur Herstellung eines Schmiermittels, das als Kurbelgehäuseschmiermittel
verwendet werden kann, werden ein Basisschmieröl auf der Grundlage eines zweibasigen Säureesters und
2318 % des Konzentrats gemäß Beispiel 5 verwendet.
Das BasisSchmieröl besteht überwiegend aus Azelainsäurediisooctylester.
Zur Herstellung eines Schmiermittels, das als Kurbelgehäuseschmiermittel
verwendet werden kann, werden ein Basisschmieröl auf der Grundlage eines Neopentylpolyolesters und 23,8 %

des Konzentrats gemäß Beispiel 5 verwendet.
Das Basisschmieröl besteht überwiegend aus Estern von Pentaerythrit
und einem Gemisch von aliphatischen Cg-C10-Monocarbonsäuren.
Zur Herstellung eines lOprozentigen Zusatzkonzentrats eines
Vi-Verbesserers werden 10 g des hydrierten Random-Copolymerisats
aus Butadien und Styrol gemäß Beispiel 1 und 90 g eines Basisschmieröls auf der Grundlage eines alkylierten Polyphenyläthers
verwendet.
Das Basisschmieröl besteht überwiegend aus mondalkyliertem Diphenyloxid.
Dieses synthetische Schmieröl wird durch Alkylierung von Diphenyloxid mit einem a-01efin mit 12 Kohlenstoffatomen
in Gegenwart von etwa 5 % eines Katalysators aus säurebehandeltem
Ton hergestellt.
Zur Herstellung eines 9prozentigen Zusatzkonzentrats eines Vi-Verbesserers
werden 9 g des hydrierten Random-Copolymerisats aus Butadien und Styrol gemäß Beispiel 1 und 91 g des alkylierten
aromatischen Basisschraieröls gemäß Beispiel 6 verwendet.

Beispiel 11
Zur Herstellung eines Getriebeschmiermittels werden als Basisöl
das alkylierte aromatische synthetische Schmieröl gemäß Beispiel 6, 33 % des gemäß Beispiel 10 hergestellten Konzenrtrats,
0,5 % eines Stockpunktserniedrigers auf der Basis
eines Fumarat-Vinylacetat-Äthylvinyläther-Copolymerisats gemäß US-PS 3 250 715 und 6,5 % eines Zusatzkonzentrats auf Mineralölbasis
verwendet, das aus folgenden Bestandteilen besteht:
(a) 20,3 % eines aus einem mit Hydroxylgruppen substituierten
Triester einer Dithi©phosphorsäure, Phosphorpentoxid und
einem aliphatischen primären Ämin mit einem mittleren Molekulargewicht
von 191 gemäß US-PS 3 197 405 hergestellten Reaktionsproduktes; der aliphatische Rest des primären
Amins leitet sich von einem Gemisch von tertiären Alkylresten
mit 11 bis 14 Kohlenstoffatomen ab;
(b) 5,4 % Oleylamin (Armeen 0) als kombiniertes Gleitmittel und
Rostinhibitor;
(c) 1,5 % eines Gleitmittels auf der Basis eines Gemisches von
ölsäureamid und Linolsäureamid (Armid 0);
(d) 2,4 % eines Kupferdesaktivators auf der Basis von Dimethylthiadiazol;
(e) 1,2 % eines üblichen Antischaummittels auf der Basis eines
Polymerisats aus 2-Äthylhexylacrylat und Äthylacrylat und
(f) 68 % eines Hochdruckzusatzes auf der Basis von sulfuriertem
Isobutylen.

Beispiel 12
Zur Herstellung eines lOprozentigen Zusatzkonzentrats eines
Vi-Verbesserers werden 10 g hydriertes Random-Copolyraerisat aus Butadien und Styrol gemäß Beispiel 1 und 90 g Basisscbmieröl
gemäß Beispiel 6 verwendet.
Zur Herstellung eines Schmiermittels, das als Hydrauliköl verwendet
werden kann, werden als Basisschmieröl ein Gemisch von 75 % des Basisschmieröls von Beispiel 6 und 25 % eines Brightstocköls
(GuIf 150 BS) und als Zusatzstoffe 20 % des Zusatzkonzentrats
gemäß Beispiel 12, 0,5 % eines Stockpunkterniedrigers auf der Basis eines Fumarat-Vinylacetat-Äthylvinyläther-Copolymerisats
gemäß US-PS 3 250 715 und 1 % eines Zusatzkonzentrats auf Mineralölbasis verwendet, das
(a) 90 % Zinkmethylamyldithiophosphat als Oxidationsinhibitor
und
(b) 5 % eines teilweise veresterten (etwa 5 #)Reaktionsproduktes
aus Dodecenylbernsteinsäure und Propylenoxid als Rostinhibitor enthält.

Claims (11)
1. Zusatzkonzentrat für Schmiermittel, bestehend aus einem
synthetischen, keine Estergruppen enthaltenden Schmierölverschnittmittel und 5 bis 50 Gewichtsprozent eines hydrierten
Copolymerisats aus einer durch einen Alkenylrest substituierten aromatischen Verbindung und einem konjugierten Diolefin
mit einem Zahlenmittel des Molekulargewichts von über 20 000.
2. Konzentrat nach Anspruch 1, gekennzeichnet durch einen zusätzlichen Gehalt von bis zu 80 Gewichtsprozent, bezogen auf
den Gesamtgehalt an Verschnittmittel, eines synthetischen, Estergruppen enthaltenden Schmieröls und/oder eines Mineralschmieröls.
J>. Konzentrat nach Anspruch 1, gekennzeichnet durch einen Gehalt
an Copolymerisat von 5 bis JO Gewichtsprozent, bezogen
auf das Konzentrat.
4. Konzentrat nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß das Copolymerisat ein hydriertes Butadien-Styrol-Random-Copolyme-
risat mit einem Butadiengehalt von JQ) bis 44 Gewichtsprozent
und einem Zahlenmittel des Molekulargewichts von 25 000 bis 125 000 ist.
5. Konzentrat nach Anspruch 4, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß das synthetische, keine Estergruppen enthaltende Schmierölverschnittmittel
eine alkylierte aromatische Verbindung ist.

6. Konzentrat nach Anspruch 4, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß das synthetische, keine Estergruppen enthaltende Schmierölverschnittmittel
ein Polyolefin ist.
7· Konzentrat nach Anspruch 4, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß
das synthetische, keine Estergruppen enthaltende Schmierölverschnittmittel ein Polyphenyläther ist.
8. Konzentrat nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß das synthetische, keine Estergruppen enthaltende Schmierölverschnittmittel
eine alkylierte aromatische Verbindung ist.
9. Konzentrat nach Anspruch 8, gekennzeichnet durch einen Gehalt an Copolymerisat von bis zu 30 Gewichtsprozent, bezogen
auf das Konzentrat, wobei das Oo.polymerisat ein hydriertes Butadien-Styrol-Random-Copolymerisat mit einem Butadiengehalt
von 30 bis 44 Gewichtsprozent und einem Zahlenmittel des Molekulargewichts von 25 000 bis 125 000 ist.
10. Schmiermittel, gekennzeichnet durch einen Gehalt an einem Konzentrat gemäß Anspruch 1 bis 9·
11. Verwendung der Konzentrate gemäß Anspruch 1 bis 9 in
Schmierölen.
