Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 本発明は高温用潤滑剤に関し、詳しくは２００°Ｃ以上
の高温にも耐えうる特にエンジンオイル等として有効な
高温用潤滑剤に関する。
従来、高温用潤滑剤としてはシリコーン系合成力が有効
に使用されており、高温での蒸発損失が少ないことが実
証されている。しかし、これら従来のシリコーン系合成
油は、耐荷重能が著しく低く、清浄性など潤滑剤として
の性能を有しない、あるし・はこの欠点を袖強し、他の
性能を付加するために潤滑用の各種添加剤を加えても溶
解しないなど犬きフ（欠点があり実用に供することがで
きないものであった。
一方、最近実用化されつつある断熱型エンジン用潤滑剤
、超高温ガスタービン軸受油、ターボチャージャー付エ
ンジン用１滑剤などでは、従来公知の高温用＋’ｌ■滑
剤が上限使用可能温度１７０〜２００″Ｃであるのに対
して、２００　”Ｃ以上の温度に耐えうろことが要求さ
れている。
本発明者は、シリコーン系合成油の上述した欠点を克服
すると共に、耐高温性のすぐれたｄＩＶ？Ｖｆ剤を開発
すべく鋭意研究を重ねた。その結果、特定のシリコーン
系合成油を用い、これにヒンダードアルコールのエステ
ルを加えることによって目的とする問清剤が得られるこ
とを見出し、本発明を完成するに至った。すなわち本発
明は、 （イ）繰返し単位が （式中、ｎｌは炭素数１〜６のアルキル基、几２は炭素
数１〜３のアルキル基または水素原子を示す。） で表わされ、かつ１００″Ｃの動粘度が５〜３００ＣＳ
　ｊであるアリールアルキルシリコーン２５〜９８重量
％ および ＣＢ）　ヒフ　ター　）−アルコールド脂肪酸とのエス
テ／ｌｚ７５〜２耳耽％ からなることをｔｎ徴とする高瀞］用州滑剤を提供する
ものである。
本発明のｉ１Ｍ？ｆ’を剤の（屓成分は上述の如く繰返
し単位が一般式〔ＩＤで表わされるアリールアルキルシ
リコーンである。ここで一般式［］中のＲ１はメチル基
、エチル基、プロピル基、ブチル基等の炭素数１〜６の
アルキル基であり、またアリール基に結合している几２
は水素原子あるいはメチル基、エチル基、プロピル基の
炭素数１〜３のアルキル基であって、その結合位置は。
−、ｒｒｌ−、ｐ−位のいずれでもよい。さらにこの（
４）成分は１００″Ｃにおける動粘度が５〜３００　ｃ
ｓｔ、好ましくは１０〜１００　ｃｓｔのものでなけれ
ばならな（・。繰返し単位が上記一般式〔ＩＤで表わせ
ないシリコーンあるいは一般式［１）で表わせるもので
あっても動粘度が上記範囲外のシリコーンでは、耐熱性
が充分でない、潤滑性能に劣る、あるいは各種潤滑用添
加剤の溶解能が充分でないなどの欠点がある。それに対
し、繰返し単位が一般式ｍで表わされ、がつ動粘度が手
記範囲にある（Ａ）成分であるアリールアルキルシリコ
ーンを用いれば、前述の如き欠点は解消される。この（
４）成分であるアリールアルキルシリコーンとしては様
々なものをあげることができるが、具体的にはフェニル
メチルシリコーン。
メチルフェニルメチルシリコーン、エチルフェニルメチ
ルシリコーン、フェニルエチルシリコーン。
フェニルグロピルシリコーン、フェニルブチルシリコー
ン、プロピルフェニルヘキシルシリコーンなどをあげる
ことができる。
次に本発明の４゛８滑剤のω）成分は、前述の如くヒン
ダードアルコールと脂肪酸とのエステルである。
ここでヒンダードアルコールとしては様々なものがある
が、例えば 一般式　　　　　Ｃ１ｌ、几８ １１、’ｃＨ２−ｃ　−ａｎ９ＴＬ’　　　　−−−［
ＩＤＣ工１゜Ｒ５ （式中、Ｒ３〜几６はそれぞれ水素原子、水酸基。
水酸基含有アルキル基ある℃・はアルキル基を示し、か
つ少なくとも一つは水酸基あるいは水酸基含有アルキ）
７基である。） で表ワサれるヒンダードアルコールをあげることができ
、このうち水酸基含有アルキル基およびアルキル基は炭
素数１〜３のものが好ましい。具体的にはトリメチロー
ルプロパン、　　ｌ−リメチロールエタン、ペンクエリ
スリトール、ネオペンチルグリコール、２−メチル−２
−プロピル−１，３−プロパンジオールなどの多価アル
コールを好適なものとしてあげることができる。また上
記一般式〔１１〕で表わされるもののほか、ジペンタエ
リスリトールなどの化合物も含まれる。
一方、上記ヒンダードアルコールとエステルを形成する
脂肪酸としては様々なものがあり、エステルを形成しう
るものであれば特に制限はなく適宜定めればよい。具体
的には炭素数５〜３０の脂肪酸、例えばカプリル酸、カ
プリン酸、ラウリン酸、ミリスチン酸、パルミチン酸、
ステアリン酸。
アラキン酸、ベヘニン酸などの飽和直鎖脂肪酸とそれら
に対応する分枝脂肪酸および不飽和脂肪酸゛。
さらに７ジビン酸、セパチン散、アゼライン酸等の二塩
基酸、オレイン酸等の不飽和脂肪酸の重合体であるダイ
マー酸ブよどがあり、そのうちオレイン酸、リノール酸
などの不飽和脂肪酸およびイソステアリン「１り等の分
校脂肪酸が好ましい。なおこれらの脂肪酸はその誘梼体
（例えば酸）・ライドなど）の形で使用してもよく、要
するに上記ヒンダードアルコールとエステルを形成でき
るものであればよい。
本発明のＷ’Ｖ滑剤の（Ｊ３）成分は上記のヒンダード
アルコールと脂肪酸より形成されるエステルであるが、
そのうち１００°Ｃにおける動粘度が５ｃｓｔ以上、と
りわけ８〜５０　ｃｓｔのエステル（ヒンダードエステ
ル）が好適に利用されろ。またこのＣＢ）成分け（Ａ）
、（Ｔ３）成分の合泪量の２〜７５重量％、好ましくは
、１０〜３０重景％の重量で配合すべきである。ＣＢ＞
成分の配合割合が２重量％未満では添加効果が充分に発
揮されず、逆に７５重量％を越えると得られる潤滑剤の
酸化安定性が低下するという問題が生ずる。
本発明のＴ１！！！滑剤は、基本的にはＣＡ）　、　（
Ｊ３）成分を配合してなるものであるが、さらに必要に
応じて各種添加剤、例えばアミン系、フェノール系、ジ
チオリン酸系の酸化防止剤、スルフォネート系、フイネ
ート系、ホスホネート系、サリチレート系の清浄分赦剤
、あるいは硫黄−リン系、リン酸エステル系の極圧剤、
油性剤ブＬどを適宜加えることもできる。
かくして得られる本発明の醤滑剤は、２００℃以−１−
１特に３００°Ｃ前後でも蒸発量が少なく、またスラッ
ジの発生もない。さらに各種添加剤の溶フリ了性、貯蔵
安定性が良く、耐荷重能にもすぐれている。
従って本発明の潤滑剤は、２００°Ｃ以上の高温に１よ
る高温機械袈素、特に内作機関用の１ｍ剤、すなわちエ
ンジンオイルとして好適に利用し、うるものである。
次に本発明を実施例によりさらに詳しく説明する。
実施例１〜１２および比較例１〜６ （Ａ）成分、（Ｂ）成分として所定の化合物を配合し、
さらに各種添加剤を加えて潤滑剤を調製１．、これにつ
いて杆々な物性評価を行なった。結果を第１表に示す。
なおここで行なった評価は次の如き方法によ−っだ。
熱安定度試験 Ｊｌ［Ｓ　Ｋ　２８３９の図−１５３に規定されている
ビーカーに試料３０ｇを入れ、３２０°Ｃにて３時間保
持し、蒸発減量、スラッジの有無を測定　し　プこ　。
インディアナスターリング試験 、ＴＩＳ　Ｋ　２５１４に準拠して行なった。
ファレツクス耐荷重能試験 ＡＳＴＭ　１）　３２３３に準拠して行なった。
