Description
Bei Verfahren zum Einkapseln von Öltröpfchen, die auf dem Prinzip der Koazervierung beruhen, ist
eine genaue Einstellung und Einhaltung bestimmter Parameter, wie Temperatur, pH-Wert, Viskosität,
notwendig. Im Verlauf des Verfahrens muß beispielsweise im richtigen Zeitpunkt die Temperatur oder
der pH-Wert geändert werden, mit Wasser verdünnt, ein Härtungsmittel zugesetzt werden. Das Verfahren
ist daher kompliziert und aufwendig. Es entstehen ungleichmäßige Kapselwände. Außerdem ist es nicht
möglich, hydrophile Flüssigkeiten einzukapseln.
Aus der deutschen Patentschrift 1 096 038 und der USA.-Patentschrift 2 969 330 ist ein Verfahren zum
Herstellen von Öl enthaltenden Kapseln bekannt, bei dem ein öllösliches, eine Doppelbindung aufweisendes
Monomer in dem Öl gelöst und dann die erhaltene Lösung in der polaren Flüssigkeit dispergiert
wird, worauf unter Verwendung eines Polymerisationskatalysators, wie Benzoylperoxid, eine radikalische
Polymerisation des Monomers und damit die Bildung eines in beiden Flüssigkeiten unlöslichen
Polymeren bewirkt wird, das das Öl einkapselt. Auch hier ist das System für geringe Veränderungen in den
Bedingungen, wie Temperatur, Monomer-Anfangskonzentration, Katalysatorkonzentration, Verunreinigungen,
sehr empfindlich. Da das Monomer innerhalb der dispergierten öltröpfchen der radikalischen
Polymerisation unterworfen wird, besteht die Neigung zur Bildung von Klumpen, die nur aus dem
Polymer bestehen und kein öl enthalten. Bei der Lagerung der das Monomere enthaltenden Lösung ist
der Zusatz eines Polymerisationsinhibitors erforderlich. Außerdem werden nur hydrophobe Flüssigkeiten
eingekapselt.
Um diese Nachteile zu vermeiden und ein Verfahren bereitzustellen, bei dem nicht nur hydrophobe,
sondern auch hydrophile Flüssigkeiten eingekapselt werden können, werden beim Verfahren zum Einkapseln
von kleinen Flüssigkeitströpfchen in Kapselwände aus polymerem Material, bei dem die einzukapselnde
Flüssigkeit in einer zweiten Flüssigkeit emulgiert wird und das polymere Wandmaterial an
der Grenzfläche zwischen zusammenhängender Flüssigkeit und dispergierter Flüssigkeit gebildet wird,
erfindungsgemäß als zusammenhängende Flüssigkeit und als dispergierte Flüssigkeit Flüssigkeiten verwendet,
von denen die eine ein härtbares Polymer und die andere einen Härter für dieses Polymer enthält
oder darstellt.
Das härtbare Polymer kann ein wärmehärtendes Harzvorpolymer mit zwei oder mehr funktionellen
Gruppen, wie Epoxy-(—CH—CH2)-Gruppen, Methylol-(—CH2OH)-Gruppen
sein, und der Härter für dieses Polymer ist eine Verbindung, die eine Weiterpolymerisation
oder eine Vernetzungsreaktion dieses wärmehärtenden Vorpolymers an der Grenzfläche
zwischen den beiden Flüssigkeiten bewirkt, wodurch ein in beiden Flüssigkeiten unlöslicher Film aus
wärmehärtendem Harz gebildet wird.
In der hydrophilen oder der hydrophoben Flüssigkeit können andere Substanzen, wie Farben, Kopierchemikalien,
Klebstoffe, Entwicklungs- und Fixierchemikalien, Getränke, Gewürze, Agrarchemikalien,
Arzneien, Elektrolyte, Düngemittel, synthetische Harze oder oberflächenaktive Mittel, gelöst oder
dispergiert sein.
Erfindungsgemäß hergestellte Kapseln weisen eine besonders hohe Druck-, Wärme- und Lösungsmittelbeständigkeit
auf.
Die Verfahrensbedingungen sind innerhalb eines sehr weiten Bereiches sehr leicht einzustellen und
einzuhalten.
Die nachfolgende Tabelle gibt Beispiele für Substanzen, die erfindungsgemäß als härtbare Polymere
bzw. Härter für diese verwendet werden können. Wenn einer dieser Stoffe selbst eine hydrophile oder
hydrophobe Flüssigkeit darstellt, kann er allein als zusammenhängende oder dispergierte Flüssigkeit verwendet
werden.

Die folgenden Beispiele erläutern die Erfindung. Ig Methylolharnstoff wird in 10 ml Wasser auf
gelöst, und diese hydrophile Lösung wird 2 Stunden

25 zoylchlorid in 100 ml Monochlorbenzol aufgelöst;
0,5 g Benzoylchlorid werden in 10 ml Monochlor- diese Lösung ist die hydrophobe Flüssigkeit. Die

40° C an den Grenzflächen zwischen den Tröpfchen dabei eine in beiden Flüssigkeiten unlösliche Haut
der hydrophoben Flüssigkeit und der diese umgeben- aus wärmehärtendem Harz, welche die hydrophile
den hydrophilen Flüssigkeit das Harnstoff-Form- 35 Flüssigkeit derart einhüllt, daß mit ihr gefüllte
aldehyd-Vorkondensat unter Bildung einer in beiden Kapseln entstehen.
Claims (1)
- Patentanspruch:Verfahren zum Einkapseln von kleinen Flüssigkeitströpfchen in Kapselwände aus polymerem Material, bei dem die einzukapselnde Flüssigkeit in einer anderen Flüssigkeit dispergiert wird und das polymere Wandmaterial an der Grenzfläche zwischen zusammenhängender Flüssigkeit und dispergierter Flüssigkeit gebildet wird, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß als zusammenhängende Flüssigkeit und als dispergierte Flüssigkeit Flüssigkeiten verwendet werden, von denen die eine ein härtbares Polymer und die andere einen Härter für dieses Polymer enthält oder darstellt.
