Description
Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zur Herstellung
von Azofarbstoffe«. Die erfindungsgemaß herzustellenden Farbstoffe enthalten das chromophore Sys cm
eines Azofarbstoffe und ein Redoxsystem vom Hydrochinon-
bzw. Brenzcatechintyp.
Es ist bekannt, z. B. Phenylazohydroch.non durch
Kimnlune von Phenyldiazoniumsalz mit Hydro-Sl
herzustellen. Ein Verfahren, eine a^aj«che
Aminoverbindung, die eine reduzierende Dih>droxy-DhenvlKruppe
im Molekül gebunden enthalt zu diazotieren ist bisher nicht vorgeschlagen worden.
Gegenstand der Erfindung ist ein Verfahren zur
Herstellung von Azofarbstoffe^ welches dadurch gekennzeichnet ist, daß man eine Verbindung der

Alkoxvgruppe ist vorzugsweise eine niedrigmolekulare A koxygruppe, wie die Methoxy- oder Alhoxygruppe;
Seht Z2 für eine Alkylgruppe, so ist dies vorzugsweise

C1Die nach dem erfindungsgemäßen Verfahren herstellbaren
Azofarbstoffe sind durch d.e folgenden Formeln wiedergegeben:
worin R1 eine Alkylengruppe, Ar ein Aiylresl, jedes
Z1 eine Alkylgruppe oder ein Halogen, jedes Z2 eine
Alkoxy- oder eine Alkylgruppe oder ein Halogen, in = 0, I oder 2, Y1 eine 2,5-DiacyIoxyphenyl-, 2,3-Diacyloxyphenyl-
oder 3,4-DiacyIoxyphenylgruppe, die gegebenenfalls durch Halogen- oder Alkylgruppen
substituiert sein kann, und Q! ein Rest einer Kupplungskomponente
ist, diazolierl, das diazotierle Amin bzw. die diazolierie Aminoazoverbindung mit einer
Kupplungskomponente kuppelt und die Diacyloxyphenylgruppe
Y1 zur entsprechenden Dihydroxyphenyjgruppe
verseift.
Es ist nicht möglich, die Aminoverbindung mit zwei freien Hydroxygruppen am Arylresl zu diazolieren,
da der Dihydroxyphenylrest das Diazoniuinsalz augenblicklich reduzieren würde. Die Hydroxygruppen
müssen deshalb vor der Diazotierung geschützt werden. Durch eine derartige Acylierung
wird die reduzierende Eigenschaft des Dihydroxyarylresies
ausgeschaltet, und die Diazoiierung läßt sich ohne Schwierigkeiten glatt durchführen. Nach
i\cr Kupplung des diazotierten Produktes mit der
Kupplungskomponente müssendieAcylgruppen durch Hydrolyse abgespallen werden, um einen Dihydroxyarylresi
mit freien Hydroxygruppen zu erhallen.
Die in den obigen Forme!bilderu mit R1 bezeichnete
Alkylengruppe bedeutet vorzugsweise eine solche, die nicht mehr als 5 Kohlenstoffatome enthält, und insbesondere
eine Aiiiylengruppe; der mil Ar bezeichnete
Arylrest ist beispielsweise ein Benzol- oder Naphthalinrest; die mil Z1 bezeichneten Alkylgruppen
sind vorzugsweise niedrigmolekulare Alkyigruppen, wie Methyl oder Äthyl: steht Z1 für Halogen, so ist
dies vorzugsweise Chlor; jede mit Z2 bezeichnete -Ar-N = N- Q

in welchen R1, Ar, Z1, Z2 und m die oben bereits angegebene
Bedeutung haben, ρ ist 1 oder 2, Y eine 2,5-Dihydroxyphenyl-, 2,3-Dihydroxypiienyl- oder
3,4-Di^ydroxypheny!gruppc, die durch Alkyl- oder
Halogengruppen ersetzt sein kann, Q, Q1 und Q2
sind Reste von kuppelnden Bestandteilen, und Q1 und Q2 können gleiche oder verschiedene Kupplungsbestandteile
sein.
Als Beispiele für geeignete kupplungsfällige Verbindungen, von deiunsich Q. Q1 und Q2 ableiten,
können Phenole und aromatische Amine, deren ο- oder p-Stellung zur Hydroxyl- oder Aminogruppe
nicht besetzt ist, z. B. Phenol, Aniline. Naphthoic, Anthrole. Naphthylamine, heterocyclische, aromatische
Verbindungen, die Hydroxyl-oder Aminogruppen enthalten, wie Pyrazolone oder Pyrrole, aliphatische
oder aiicyclische, aktivierte Methylenkuppler, d. Ii.
Verbindungen mit einer aliphatischen oder alicyclischen Methylengruppe, die durch zwei angrenzende
Keto-, Aldehyd-, Ester- oder Nitrilgruppen, die gleich oder verschieden sein können, oder durch eine Keto-,
Aldehyd-, Ester- oder Nitrilgruppe in Verbindung mit einer Amidgruppe aktiviert sind. z. B. 1,3-Dikelone '
oder //-Kelonsäurcarylamide und substituierte Derivate derselben, erwähnt werden. Beispiele für Gruppen,
die in derartigen substituierten Derivaten vorliegen können, sind Alkyl, Sulfo, Alkoxy, Aryl, Aryloxy,
Amino, Keto, Alkylamino, Arylamine), Hydroxyl, Cyan. Alkylamido, Arylamido, Carbalkoxy. Carboxyamido
und Sulfonamido.
Stehen die Symbole Q, Q1 und Q2 für Reste einer
phenolischen Kupplungskomponente, so bezeichnen sie einen tinsiibstituierlen oder substituierten Hydroxyphenyl-,
Hydroxynaphthyl- oder Hydroxyanlhrylresl. Stehen sie für den Rest einer aromatischen Aminokupplungskomponente,
so bezeichnen sie einen unsubstituieiien oder substituierten Amiiiophenyl- oder
Aminonaphthylrest.
Als Bei-spiele für geeignete kupplungsfähige Verbindungen
oder kupplungsfiihige Bestandteile von
Verbindungen könne! erwähnt werden:

Andere geeignete kupplungsfiihige Verbindungen sind in den hier angeführten besonderen Beispielen
angegeben.
Die bevorzugt hergestellten Azofarbstoffe werden aus Verbindungen mit dem Molekülteil:

Y — R1 — Ar — NH2 in der Ar, Z1 und m die vorstehend angegebene Bedeutung haben und R4 eine Einfachbindung oder eine Aikylengruppe ist, mit einem geeignet geschützten Dihydroxyphenylketon kondensiert, die Verbindung reduziert und die schützenden Gruppen abspaltet.
Y — R1 — Ar — NH2 in der Ar, Z1 und m die vorstehend angegebene Bedeutung haben und R4 eine Einfachbindung oder eine Aikylengruppe ist, mit einem geeignet geschützten Dihydroxyphenylketon kondensiert, die Verbindung reduziert und die schützenden Gruppen abspaltet.
Ein anderes Verfahren zur Herstellung von Verbindungen, die der Formel IV entsprechen, besteht
darin, daß man ein geeignetes Derivat eines Dihydroxyarylaldehyds, z. B. ein Dialkoxy- oder ein Diaryloxyderivat,
mit der geeigneten Verbindung der Formel

worin Ar, Z1 und in die vorstehende Bedeutung haben,
umsetzt, anschließend die Nitrogruppe und die Doppelbindung des Produktes reduziert und die schützenden
Gruppen von den Hydroxylgruppen abtrennt. Gegebenenfalls kann man den freien Dihydroxyarylaldehyd
verwenden.
Als Beispiele für Azofarbstoffe der Formel Ia können die folgenden angeführt werden:

Bevorzugte Verbindungen dieser Formel sind
p-AminopheKyläthylhydrochinon und 4-Aminonaphthyläthylhydrochinon.
Ein Verfahren zur Herstellung von Ausgangsverbindungen, die der Formel !V entsprechen, besteht
darin, daß man ein geeignetes Säurechlorid der Formel

die oben angegebene Bedeutung besitzen, z. B. Nitropheny lacetylchiorid, mit einem geeigneten Dihydroxybenzol,

Die neuen Azofarbstoffe der Formel Ha können hergestellt werden, indem man eine Verbindung der
Formel Ia, in der die Hydroxylgruppen von Y geschützt sind und in der der kuppelnde Rest Q eine
diazotierbare Aminogruppe enthält, diazotiert. Derartige Verbindungen können durch die Formel

die vorstehende Bedeutung haben. Die diazotierte Verbindung der Formel VI wird mit der gewünschten
Azokomponente. die Q2 ergibt, gekuppelt. Vorzugsweise ist Ar ein Benzolkern. Die Monoazoverbindungen
der Formel VI werden verwendet, ohne daß man die schützenden Gruppen, z. B. die Acetoxygruppe
von Y1, abtrennt.
Die bevorzugte Verbindung, die der Formel VI entspricht, ist das O.O'-Diacetoxyderivat von 2,5-Dimethoxy
- 4 - [p - (2',5' - dihydroxyphenyläthyl) - phenylazo]-anilin.
Eine andere brauchbare Verbindung ist das Ο,Ο'-Diacetoxyderivat von 4-[p-(2'.5'-DihydroxyphenyläthyD-phenylazo]-1-naphthylamin.

Die Azofarbstoffe der Formel II b können hergestellt werden, indem man eine Verbindung, die der
Formel I b entspricht, worin die Hydroxylgruppen von Y geschützt sind und worin der Kupplerrest eine
diazotierbare Aminogruppe enthält, dieazotiert. Derartige Verbindungen können durch die Formel
Y1—Ar —N = N-Q1 —NH2 (VII)
worin Ar, Q1, Z2 und »1 und Y1 die vorstehende
Bedeutung haben, dargestellt werden. Die diazotierte Verbindung der Formel VII wird mit der gewünschten
Azokomponente, die Q2 ergibt, gekuppelt. Vorzugsweise ist Ar ein Benzolkern. Die Monoazoverbindungen
der Formel VII werden verwendet, ohne daß man die schützenden Gruppen, z. B. die Diacetoxygruppen,
abspaltet.
Die bevorzugte Verbindung der durch Formel VII dargestellten Gruppe ist das Ο,Ο'-Diacetoxyderivat
von 4 - [p - (2\5' - Dihydroxyphenyl) - phenylazo-2.5-dimethoxyanilin.
Selbstverständlich kann bei der Herstellung der Azofarbstoffe der Formel II die reaktionsfähige Aminogruppe
in einem anderen Teil des Restes der Azokomponente vorliegen als dem, an den die Azogruppe
gebunden ist. Die reaktionsfähige Aminogruppe kann ursprünglich als solche oder als eine Gruppe vorliegen,
die in eine Aminogruppe übergeführt werden kann, z. B. eine Sticksloffgruppe. In gewissen Fällen,·
wenn es z. B. zweckmäßig ist, .die Azokupplung auf einen besonderen Teil des Kupplers zu richten, kann
man einen nitrosubstituierten Kuppler anwenden und die Nitrogruppe nach dem Kuppeln selektiv zu einer
Aminogruppe reduzieren. So kann man ein mit Nitrophenyl substituiertes Pyrazolon zu einer Azoverbindung
kuppeln und anschließend zwecks weiterer Umsetzung die Nitrogruppe selektiv zu einer
Aminogruppe reduzieren.
Es ist darauf hinzuweisen, daß, wenn eine

vorliegt, die erhaltenen Verbindungen nicht in dem
Umfang pH-empfindlich sind wie die Farbstoffe, in denen eine
Y — Ar —-Gruppe
vorliegt.
Wenn diese Alkylengruppe R' vorliegt, wird die Dihydroxyphenylgruppe Y isoliert und keine Kon- !0
jugation mit dem chromophoren System des übrigen Teils des Moleküls erhalten, so daß die Farbempfindlichkeit
gegenüber ph-Veränderungen, die sich durch derartige Konjugation ergibt, wirksam vermieden
wird. J5
Die erfmdiingsgernäß herstellbaren AzofarbsloiiL:
sind als Farbstoffe, insbesondere zum Färben von Polyamiden, geeignet.
Wie in der deutschen Patentschrift 1 036 640 bereits vorgeschlagen, sind sie auch als Farbentwicklerstibstanzen
geeignet und können zur Herstellung von Farbbildern nach Diffusionsübertragungsumkehrvcrfahren
dieser Patentschrift und nach den Verfahren der belgischen Patentschriften 554 212 und 554933
angewendet werden. 2%
Gegenüber dem Färben mit bekannten Farbstoffen ergeben sich beim Färben von Polyamid- oder Seidenfaden
deutliche Vorteile. Die erfindungsgeinäß hergestellten
Azofarbstoffe sind auf Grund der Anwesenheit einer Dihydroxyphenylgruppe im Molekül alkalilöslich.
Die Fasern können demnach mit einem alkalischen Färbebad angefärbt werden. Im Gegensatz
zu anderen alkalilöslichen Farbstoffen können jedoch die erfindungsgemäß hergestellten Azofarbstoffe
schon während des Färbevorgangs leicht oxydiert werden, wodurch sie alkaliunlöslich werden
und sich in oder auf der Faser in unlöslicher Form abscheiden. Die Färbung widersteht nach der Oxydation
deshalb auch alkalischen Reinigungsmitteln. Bekannte Farbstoffe enthalten meist Carboxyl- oder
Sulfonsäuregruppen, um das Farbstoffmolekül in Alkali löslich zu machen. Diese Gruppen können
jedoch nicht ohne weiteres entfernt und irgendwie umgewandelt werden. Farbstoffe, die diese Gruppen
enthalten, haften daher weniger fest auf der Faser und sind durch alkalisch reagierende Reinigungsmittel auswaschbar.
In den Beispielen sind Teile, wenn nicht anderes vermerkt, auf das Gewicht bezogen.
50 Beispiel 1
a) Herstellung der Ausgangsstoffe
Ein Gemisch aus H)Og p-Nitrophenylessigsäure, 80 g 2,5-Dimethoxybenzaldehyd und 20 ecm Piperidin
wird 6 Stunden auf 160 C erhitzt und über Nacht abkühlen gelassen. Die Verbindung wird in 100 ecm
Essigsäure aufgenommen und in 500 ecm Wasser gegossen, wobei ein dunkelrotes öl erhalten wird.
Die überstehende Flüssigkeit wird abdekantiert und das öl mit 100 ecm Äthanol verrieben. Der erhaltene
Festkörper wird abfiltriert und aus 2000 ecm Äthanol umkristallisiert, wobei 52,5 g 2,5-Dimelhoxy-4'-nitrostilben
in Form von roten Kristallen, die bei 114 bis 116 C schmelzen, erhalten werden.
Die Verbindung wird in 450 ecm Äthylacetat unter Verwendung von 15 g eines auf Bariumsulfat niedergeschlagenem
Palladiums hydriert. Das Lösungsmittel wird anschließend abgedampft, wobei p-(2,5-Dimethoxyphenyläthyl)-anilin
in Form eines Öls erhalten wird.
Das so erhaltene p-(2,5-DimethoxypbenyIäfhyl)-anilin
wird entmethyliert, indem man es unter Stickstoff in 500 ecm 48%igem HBr 4 Stunden unter
Rückfluß zum Sieden erhitzt, überschüssiges HBr wird anschließend im Vakuum entfernt Wasser zugesetzt
und nochmals eingedampft. Dann wird Äthanol zugesetzt und nochmals eingedampft. Der zurückbleibende
Festkörper wird über Kaliumhydroxyd getrocknet, wobei 54,5 g p-Aminophenyläthylhydrochinonhydrobromid
in Form eines gelben Festkörpers vom Schmelzpunkt 215^C erhalten werden.
180 ecm Eisessig werden mit gasförmigem Chlorwasserstoff
gesättigt und 180 ecm Acetylchlorid zugesetzt.
Anschließend werden 45 g p-Aminophenyiäthylhydrochinon
zugesetzt und die Mischung 2 Stunden bei Raumtemperatur gerührt, wonach vollständige
Auflösung erfolgt ist. Das Reaktionsgemisch wird anschließend in 2 1 wasserfreien Äther gegossen. Nach
einigen Minuten Verreiben wird das Lösungsmittel abgegossen und durch 1 1 trockenen Äther ersetzt.
In Abständen unter Kühlen in einem Trockeiieisbad
wird weiter verrieben, bis vollständige Verfestigung erfolgt ist. Der Festkörper wird schnell abfiltriert und
anschließend in einem Vukuumexsikkator über Kaliumhydroxyd
getrocknet, wobei 50 g 2,5-Bis-acetoxyphenyläthylaniiinhydrochlorid
der Formel
NH,
als weißer kristalliner Festkörper erhalten worden, der bei 153 bis 157 C schmilzt.
b) Erfindungsgemäßes Verfahren
7,9 g (0,02 Mol) 2,5-BisaeetoxyphenyläthyIaniIinhydrochlorid
der obigen Formel werden in 150 ecm Wasser, das 4 ecm (0,05 Mol) konzentrierte Salzsäure
enthält, gelöst und bei 0 bis 5 C durch Zusatz von 1,4 g (0,02 Mol) Natriumnitrit in 15 ecm Wasser
diazotiert. Nach 10 Minuten wird die Lösung geklärt und der pH-Wert mit Natriumacetat auf 5 bis 6
erhöht. Die klare Diazolösung ist dann zum Kuppeln gebrauchsfertig.
Die Diazolösung wird bei Raumtemperatur innerhalb einer halben Stunde zu einer Lösung von 3,15 g
(0,018 Mol) l-Phenyl-3-aminopyrazolon in 300 ecm
Äthanol und 300 ecm 10%igem NaHCO3 in Anteilen
zugesetzt. Die erhaltene, gelbbraune Aufschlämmung wird 2 Stunden bei Raumtemperatur gerührt, filtriert
und der Filterkuchen gut mit 10%igem NaHCO3 gewaschen. Der Filterkuchen wird in verdünnter
Essigsäurelösung aufgeschlämmt, filtriert und kräftig mit Wasser gewaschen. Die Verbindung wird im
Vakuum über Schwefelsäure getrocknet, wobei 8 g (89%) erhalten werden. Die erhaltene Verbindung
wird in 160 ecm Äthanol gelöst, 40 ecm Wasser und
anschließend , 18 g Kaliumhydroxyd zugesetzt und

der Kolben evakuiert. Er wird 5 Minuten unter mehrmaligem Erwärmen auf einem Dampfbad geschüttelt,
anschließend abgekühlt, direkt mit Salzsäure angesäuert und mit Wasser verdünnt, um die Füllung
zu vervollständigen. Nach dem Filtrieren wird der Festkörper mit Wasser gewaschen.
Zur Reinigung wird der Filterkuchen unter Stickstoff in einer möglichst geringen Menge Äthanol
gelöst und die heiße Lösung mit aktivierter Tierkohle versetzt. Das Material wird aus dem Fillreat mit !0
Hilfe einer l%igen NaCl-Lösung, die eine Spur HCI enthält, wieder ausgefällt, der Rückstand filtriert und
dieses Verfahren nochmals wiederholt. Der erhaltene gelborange Festkörper wird abfiltriert, mit Wasser
gewaschen und getrocknet, wobei 4 g (45% Ausbeute) des Azofarbstoffs l-Phenyl-3-amino-4-[p-(2',5'-dihydroxyphenyIäthyl)-phenylazo]-5-pyrazolon
erhalten werden, die bei 244 bis 245 C schmelzen. Die Spektralabsorptionskurve zeigt in Äthanol bei 400 ιημ ein

2,1 g (0,006 MoI) des gemäß Beispiel 1, a erhaltenen 2,5 - Bis- acetoxyphenySäthylanilinhydrochlorids werden
diazotiert und bei etwa 15 C zu einer Lösung von 1,4 g (0.008 Mol) 4-Methoxy-l -naphthol in
100 ecm Aceton gegeben und portionsweise 100 ecm gesättigtes NaIICO, zugesetzt. Die Aufschlämmung
wird 4 Stunden gerührt, filtriert und der Filterkuchen
gut mit Wasser gewaschen. Der feuchte Filterkuchen wird in einer Lösung von 3 g Kaliumhydroxyd in
20 ecm Wasser und 40 ecm Äthanol gelöst und der
Kolben sofort evakuiert. Er wird 3 Minuten unter mehrmaligem Erwärmen auf einem Dampfbad geschülteit.
anschließend die Lösung kurz abgekühlt und dann schnell in verdünnte Salzsäure hineiniiltriert.
Der erhaltene Niederschlag wird filtriert und gut mit Wasser gewaschen. Die Verbindung wird
gereinigt, indem man sie aus wäßriger Melhylcellosolve
umkristaliisiert und anschließend trocknet, wobei eine 90"'oige Ausbeute an 2-[p-(2',5'-DihydroxyphenyläthyI)-phenykizo]-4-methoxy-1
-naphthol erhalten wird: I11111x = 530 ma in Äthanol; , = 18 500.

3,5 g des gemäß Beispiel 1, a erhaltenen 2,5-Bis-acetoxyphenyläthyknilinhydrochlorids
werden diazotiert und mit 1,4 g 5-Acetamido-l-naphthol in ähnlicher
Weise, wie im Beispiel 2 beschrieben, gekuppelt und in dem erhaltenen Farbstoff die Acetoxygruppen verseift,
wobei 1 g4-[ p-(2',5'-Dihydroxyphenylälhyl)-phenyiazo]-5-acetamido-1
-naphthol als röliichbrauner Festkörper erhalten wird, der sich bei 230 C zersetzt.
Die Spektralabsorptionskurve dieser Verbindung in Pyridin zeigt /„„„ = 474 my..
In ähnlicher Weise wie im Beispiel 1, b beschrieben, wird 1 g 2,5-Bis-acetoxyphenyläthylanilinhydrochlorid
diazotiert und mit 0,4 g /f-Naphihol gekuppelt
sowie in dem erhalten Farbstoff die Acetoxygruppen verseift, wobei 0,7 g I-[p-(2',5'-Dihydroxyphenylälhyl)-phenyIazo]-2-naphthol
als orangebrauner Festkörper f>5 erhalten werden, der sich bei 230 C zersetzt.
In den folgenden Beispielen ist die Herstellung von Azofarbstoffe!! der Formel Ib beschrieben.
3.2 g (0,01 Mol) ρ - Aminophenylhydrochinon-ο,ο'-diacetathydrochlorid
werden diazotiert, indem man sie in 20 ecm Wasser und 1,6 ecm konzentrierte
Salzsäure gibt und bei 5 C mit 0,7 g Natriumnitrat, das in K) ecm Wasser gelöst ist, versetzt. Nach etwa
10 Minuten wird die Lösung geklärt und der pH-Wert mit Natriumacetat auf 5 bis 6 erhöht.
Die klare Diazolösung wird tropfenweise unter Rühren zu einer Lösung von 1.6 g (0.01 Mol) 1-Phenyl-3-melhyl-5-pyrazoIon
in 50 ecm Wasser, 4,2 g Natriumbicarbonat und 10 ecm Äthanol gegeben, wobei
die Lösung vorher auf 5 C gekühlt worden ist. Der erhaltene gelbe Niederschlag wird ahflltriert und anschließend
unter Stickstoff mit 25 ecm Äthanol und 25 ecm einer 20!)^igen Nalriumhydroxydlösung 5 Minuten
bei 1K) bis 100 C behandelt. Nach Ansäuern
der erhaltenen Lösung mit verdünnter Salzsäure wird das gewünschte i-Pheny!-3-melhyl-4-[p-(2',5'-dihydroxypheny!)
- phenylazo] - 5 - pyrazolon erhallen. Nach Umkristallisieren aus Äthanol werden 1,15 g
(32,20/„ige Ausbeute) der vorsiehenden Verbindung
als roter Festkörper (F. 195 bis 199 C) erhallen. Die
Verbindung ist in organischen Lösungsmitteln, wie Aceton und Äthanol, unter Bildung einer gelben
Lösung löslich. Das Absorptionsspektrum des Farbstoffes zeigt ein ?.,„IIX bei 420 ιημ; .=22400 in
Äthanol.
1.3 g (0,005 Mol) 4-Benzamido-l-naphihol werden
zu 25 ecm Aceton und 2,! g Natriumbiearbonat in 10 ecm Wasser gegeben und die Suspension auf
5 C gekühlt. 1.6 g (0,005 Mol) p-Aminophenylhydrochinon-o.o'-diacctalhydrochlorid
v/erden diazotiert, die Diazolösung tropfenweise unter Rühren zugefügl und die Suspension 5 Minuten gerührt. Ein braunroter Niederschlag wird abfiliriert und in Äthanol

Aceton und 100 ecm Wasser gegossen. Natriumacclat
wird zugesetzt, um den pH-Wert auf etwa 6 einzustellen, und das Gemisch lk Stunde gerührt. Nach
dem Filtrieren wird der halbfesie Niederschlag in Aceton gelöst und ausgefällt, indem man ihn auf
l%ige Salzsäure und Eis gießt. Der ölige Niederschlag wird filtriert, in Melhylcellosolve gelöst und in
an Nalriumacetat und Natriumchlorid gesättigter Eislösung ausgefällt, wobei 22.5 g einer gelborangen
Verbindung erhalten werden. Nach Hydrolyse dieser Verbindung wird 4 - [p - (2',5' - DihydroxyphenyO-phenylazo"j-2,5-dimelhoxyaniIin
erhalten, dessen Absorptionsspektrum ein λ,,,ι!Χ bei 444 bis 448 ιημ in
Melhylcellosolve zeigt; *■ = 26000.

ausgefällt. Die Verbindung wird um- (0 gefällt, in Äthanol suspendiert und hydrolysiert,
indem man sie unter Stickstoff in 10%igem Natriumhydroxyd einige Minuten in einem Dampfbad erhitzt.
Nach dem Fällen mit Natriumacetatlösung und anschließendem Umfallen aus Methylcellosolve mit
Natriumacetat wird 5-Amino-4-(2',5'-dimcthoxy-4' - [p -(2",5" - dihydroxyphenyl)- phenylazo] - phenylazo)-1-naphthol
als blauschwarzer Festkörper erhalten. Die Spektralabsorptionskurve des Azofarbstoffes
in Methylcellosolve zeigt Maxima bei 535 bis 540 ma U

23400) und eine Absorption > 15000 von 400 bis etwa 640 m;x.

Das im Beispiel 14 beschriebene Verfahren wird unter Verwendung von 0,0025 Mol 8-Amino-2-naphthol
wiederholt, um 8-Amino-2-(2',5'-dimethoxy-4' - [p - (2' ,5" - dihydroxyphenyl) - phenylazo] - phenylazo)-2-naphthol
herzustellen. Das Absorptionsspektrum in Methylcellosolve zeigt ein Maximum bei 57Oma (1
> 18 600) und eine Absorption > 17.000 von 4(K) bis etwa 640 niM.
Claims (1)
- Patentanspruch:Verfahren zur Herstellung von Azofarbstoffen, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß man eine Verbindung der Formel(Z1),,,
der FormelY1 -Ar-NH2

der FormelY1—R1 —Ar —N = N-Q1 —NH2(Z1),,,
oder der FormelY! — Ar — N = N — Q1 — NH2worin R1 eine Alkylengruppe. Ar ein Arylkern, jedes Z1 eine Alkylgruppe oder ein Halogen, jedes Z2 eine Alkoxy- oder eine Älkylgruppe oder ein Halogen, in = 0, 1 oder 2, Y! eine 2,5-Diacyloxyphenyl-, 2,3-Diacylpxyphenyl- oder 3,4-Diacyloxyphenylgruppe, die gegebenenfalls durch Halogen- oder Alkylgruppen substituiert sein kann und Q1 ein Rest eines Kupplungsbestandteils ist, diazotiert, die diazotierte Verbindung mit einer Kupplungskomponente kuppelt und die Diacyloxyphenylgruppe Y1 zur entsprechenden Dihydroxyphenylgruppe verseift.
