技术领域
本发明涉及一种用于密封(或焊接)两个或多个片材例如热塑性薄膜、热塑性非织造织物或其组合的密封设备以及一种使用该密封设备的密封方法,更具体地说,本发明涉及一种适用于制造具有密封件的物品例如一次性尿布或卫生巾的密封设备以及一种使用该密封设备的密封方法。
背景技术
例如在日本待审专利公开No.H05-15551(专利文献1)和日本已审专利公开No.H02-43631(专利文献2)中披露了能够通过熔接薄膜或纤维来密封由两个或多个片材(例如热塑性树脂薄膜或包括热塑性纤维的非织造织物构成)的叠片材的密封设备。如在专利文献1中所披露的一样,这种密封设备可以安装在用于制造一次性尿布等的工序中。
为了密封带状的柔软工件例如一叠树脂薄膜或者非织造织物,以在工件的供给方向上按照恒定的间距形成密封或者是沿着工件的供给方向形成连续延伸的密封,必须在对柔软的工件施加适当的张力的情况下牢固地支撑该柔软工件。因此,在传统的密封设备中,将工件送到旋转鼓的周边上,从而在使旋转鼓驱动旋转时,工件沿着旋转的方向移动,如在专利文献1和2中所述。如此供给和缠绕在旋转鼓的圆周表面上的工件可以在被施加适当张力的情况下由旋转鼓的周边可靠地支撑。
另外,该设备具有设置在旋转鼓的圆周表面上的砧台和面对该砧台的超声波焊头。随着旋转鼓的圆周表面一起移动的工件可以被保持在砧台和超声波焊头之间,以便因为由从超声波焊头施加的超声振动而在内部产生的热量熔融和密封。
但是,在这种传统的柔软工件密封设备中,超声波焊头被固定在面对旋转鼓的圆周表面的位置上,如在专利文献1和2中所述。然后,当和旋转鼓的外周表面一起移动的工件被保持在砧台和超声波焊头之间时,从超声波焊头向在该超声波焊头上滑动的工件施加超声波振动。
因此,由于来自超声波焊头的超声波振动不能足够长地施加在工件的要被密封的区域上,因此容易在工件中发生密封失败。在使旋转鼓的旋转速度增加以使工件以更高的速度移动来进行密封时,使得工件和砧台相对于超声波焊头的相对速度极高,因而这种由于施加在工件上的振动能量的减少而导致的密封失败会更加频繁地发生。
发明内容
本发明是鉴于现有技术的上述问题而作出的。因此,本发明的一个目的是提供一种密封设备,其中将第二保持构件(例如超声波焊头)相对于随着第一循环保持构件(例如砧台)一起移动的柔软工件的相对速度降低,从而能够向工件施加足够的密封能量,由此可以进行高速处理,而且本发明还涉及一种使用这种密封设备的密封方法。
根据本发明的第一方面,提供了一种密封设备,包括具有第一密封贴合表面的第一保持构件以及具有第二密封贴合表面的第二保持构件,该设备用于将热塑性柔软工件保持在第一和第二密封贴合表面之间以进行密封,
第一保持构件设置在转子的周边上,并且使第一密封贴合表面沿径向朝外,第二保持构件由支撑件支撑,并且使第二密封贴合表面面对第一密封贴合表面,其中
该设备还包括:用于驱动转子旋转的旋转驱动部件;以及往复驱动部件,用于驱动支撑件,以使第二密封贴合表面沿着第一密封贴合表面的一部分轨道往复运动,由此在第二保持构件沿着与第一保持构件相同的方向移动的时候,可以在第一和第二密封贴合表面之间保持柔软工件以进行密封。
在该密封设备中,由于第二保持构件被驱动以沿着第一保持构件的第一密封贴合表面的一部分轨道往复移动,因此可以降低工件和第一保持构件相对于第二保持构件的相对速度,从而可以利用第一和第二保持构件足够长地向工件施加密封能量。因此,即使在驱动转子以高速旋转从而进行高速处理的时候,也难以发生密封失败。
当设置在转子上的第一保持构件的数量是N的时候,转子每旋转一次,第二保持构件的往复运动可进行N个循环。
密封设备可以被构造成为,当以恒定的角速度驱动转子旋转的时候,使第一密封贴合表面以恒定的圆周速度运动,而第二密封贴合表面沿着与第一密封贴合表面相同的方向运动的圆周速度随着时间变化,从而在它们之间保持柔软的工件以进行密封的第一和第二密封贴合表面以变化的相对速度运动。由于该相对速度远低于第一保持构件的圆周速度,因此可以比在传统密封设备中长得多地向工件施加密封能量。应当指出,相对速度不必是0,尽管第二密封贴合表面可以具有与第一保持构件的圆周速度一致的最大速度以提供相对速度变成0的时刻。
在这种情况下,优选地是在第一保持构件上设置沿着转子的圆周方向彼此分开的两个密封图案,并且同相地调节第二密封贴合表面的圆周速度,从而在第二保持构件的中心位于两个密封图案的中间的时候将相对速度降低至最小。由于在中间位置处将相对速度降低至最小,当将工件保持在第一和第二保持构件之间时,在各密封图案处的相对速度可以是相等的。因此,由于可以避免在两个密封图案之间在密封能量供应状况方面有任何差异,无疑可以利用两个密封图案来进行密封,从而获得相同的密封质量。
例如,可以允许支撑件进行摆动运动,而且其支枢点与转子的旋转中心一致或者基本一致,往复驱动部件可以是曲柄机构,用于将均匀的旋转运动转化为支撑件的往复运动。曲柄机构可以简化往复驱动部件的结构。在本发明中,还可以采用凸轮作为往复驱动部件并利用凸轮轮廓来控制支撑件的往复速度,但是由于这种凸轮的加工昂贵,因此希望用曲柄机构来廉价地构成该设备。
在密封设备中,转子的旋转轴可以朝着第二保持构件移动,该密封设备还可包括压力设定部件,用于设定在转子压在第二保持构件上的情况下向位于第一和第二密封贴合表面之间的柔软工件施加的保持压力。利用该压力设定部件,可以适当地维持保持压力。
在这种情况下优选地是,通过压力设定部件设定的保持压力是可以调整的,从而根据转子的旋转速度而变化。在本发明的密封设备中,由于可以使相对速度较低,因此可以利用第一和第二保持构件足够长地向工件施加密封能量。但是,如果使转子的旋转速度明显增加,则密封能量最终不会适当地施加在工件上。在这种情况下,提高保持压力会导致在工件中确定地形成密封。
根据本发明的第二方面,提供了一种密封方法,包括在具有第一密封贴合表面的第一保持构件以及具有第二密封贴合表面的第二保持构件之间保持热塑性柔软工件以进行密封,其中
驱动第一保持构件环行,而且使得第一密封贴合表面沿与其轨道垂直的方向朝外,将柔软的工件送到第一保持构件上,以便和第一密封贴合表面一起移动,驱动第二保持构件以沿着一部分轨道往复运动,而且使第二密封贴合表面面对第一密封贴合表面,其中

在该密封方法中,优选地是在第一保持构件上设置沿着其循环方向彼此分开的两个密封图案,并同相地调节第二密封贴合表面的圆周速度,从而在第二保持构件的中心位于两个密封图案的中间的时候将相对速度降低至最小。
第二保持构件可以由曲柄机构驱动而往复运动,以将均匀的旋转运动转化为往复运动。
当以恒定的间距循环的第一保持构件的数量是N的时候,每个第一保持构件每循环一次,第二保持构件的往复运动可以进行N个循环。
在本发明中,柔软的工件可以包括在其供给方向上按照一定间隔设置的液体吸收体以及可熔融粘接的支撑该液体吸收体的片材。在相邻的液体吸收体之间的位置处,可以在用于密封的第一和第二密封贴合表面之间保持一叠片材。

具体实施方式
以下将参考附图就本发明的优选实施方案对本发明进行详细描述。在以下的描述中,多个具体细节用于提供对本发明的充分理解。但是,本领域的技术人员显然可以,无需这些具体细节也能够实施本发明。在其它情况下,没有详细地显示已知的结构,以便避免不必要地模糊本发明。
图1是根据本发明一个实施方案的密封设备的主视图;图2是密封设备的左侧视图;图3是显示密封设备的操作的说明图;图4是表示密封操作的一个实施例的放大的截面图;图5是表示作为第一保持构件的砧台和作为第二保持构件的超声波焊头彼此相对设置的状态的透视图;而图6A和6B是表示柔软工件的一个实施例的透视图。
在图1和2所示的密封设备1中,O1表示转子的旋转中心,Oy表示竖直穿过旋转中心O1的竖直参照线。图1所示的一侧也就是图2所示的右侧是密封设备1的正面,而图2所示的左侧是密封设备1的后面。
密封设备1具有固定台2,其作为放置在地板上的固定部分。在密封设备1的正面,设置前支撑框架3a,3b,它们竖直向上延伸并且其下端固定在固定台2上。前支撑框架3a,3b沿着水平方向与旋转中心O1的距离相等,并彼此平行地延伸。
在密封设备1的后面,也设置有与前支撑框架3a,3b一样的后支撑框架4a,4b。在图2中显示了一个后支撑框架4a,而另一个后支撑框架4b隐藏在图2的后支撑框架4a的后面,也在图1的前支撑框架3b的后面。同样,后支撑框架4a,4b的下端固定在固定台2上,并彼此平行地向上延伸。
如图1所示,前支撑框架3a,3b的上端通过一前支撑连接板5彼此连接,而后支撑框架4a,4b的上端类似地通过一后支撑连接板6彼此连接。
在前支撑框架3a,3b之间设置有保持轴承8的前轴承座7。并且,在后支撑框架4a,4b之间设置有保持轴承10的后轴承座9。
旋转轴11的前部11a由轴承8可旋转地支撑,而旋转轴11的中间部分11b由轴承10可旋转地支撑。旋转中心O1与旋转轴11的轴线一致。
在前支撑框架3a,3b和后支撑框架4a,4b之间,设置固定在旋转轴11上的转子15。转子15具有圆周表面15a,该表面是关于旋转中心O1具有给定半径的圆柱形表面。
在转子15的圆周表面15a上,设置起第一保持构件功能的砧台16。砧台16在圆周表面15a上沿着圆周方向成恒定的间距。在该实施方案中,转子15具有相对于旋转中心O1成60度的角设置的六个砧台16。
这六个砧台16全都具有相同的结构和尺寸。如图2所示,砧台16沿平行于旋转中心O1的方向的尺寸为W1,圆周方向的尺寸为L1。此处,每个单独的砧台16具有一密封贴合表面16a(或者第一密封贴合表面),它沿着与转子15的周边表面15a垂直的方向指向外侧,并且距离转子15的圆周表面15a的距离为H(见图1)。应当指出,砧台16的各密封贴合表面16a与相对于旋转中心O1具有给定半径的圆柱形表面是一致的。
如图4和5所示,砧台16的密封贴合表面16a具有两个密封图案17a,17b。这些密封图案17a,17b被形成为从密封贴合表面16a沿着法线方向突出。在图5中,O3表示将密封贴合表面16a沿圆周方向二等分的中心线。密封图案17a,17b关于中心线O3对称,从而一个密封图案17a和中心线O3之间的距离等于另一个密封图案17b和中心线O3之间的距离。
但是,密封图案17a,17b沿着圆周方向彼此分开,其在前侧上的最大分开距离是L2,其在后侧上的最小分开距离是L3。从而各密封图案17a,17b向中心线O3倾斜。
密封图案17a,17b被制成具有恒定宽度的条形升高部分的表面,其中凸起和凹陷沿着每个图案的纵向彼此交替。因此,这些凸起/凹陷图案可以被转移至工件。
如图2所示,旋转轴11具有从后轴承座9进一步向后延伸的后部11c,齿状带轮12固定在该后部11c上。通过齿状带(未显示)将来自电动机(未显示)的能量传递给齿状带轮12,由此驱动转子15沿着图1所示的逆时针方向(CCW)以恒定的角速度旋转。
每个独立的砧台16具有内置的盒式加热器,用于加热砧台16。砧台16还具有温度传感器,用于测量被盒式加热器所加热的砧台16的温度。通过基于所测量的温度控制该盒式加热器,可以将砧台16保持在设定温度下。
旋转轴11的后部11c具有供给控制部件13,如图2所示。在旋转轴11的后部11c的周边上设置导电的集流环14a,在固定侧上设置用于在集流环14a上滑动的滑块14b。使盒式加热器和温度传感器与集流环14a电连接,并且使供给控制部件13与滑块14b电连接。因此,当转子15旋转的时候,能量从供给控制部件13通过滑块14b和集流环14a提供给盒式加热器,同时将来自温度传感器的温度测量信号施加在供给控制部件13上。
前轴承座7被支撑为可以在前支撑框架3a,3b之间竖直地移动,而后轴承座9也被支撑,以便在后支撑框架4a,4b之间竖直移动。如图1和2所示,在前轴承连接板5下面设置有一止动器21。类似的,在后支撑连接板6下面设置止动器22。
固定台2在其前侧设置有作为压力设定部件的流体缸(汽缸)23,其中流体缸23具有往复杆24,该往复杆24的上端连接至前轴承座7。类似的,固定台2在其后侧设置有作为压力设定部件的流体缸(汽缸)25,其中流体缸25具有往复杆26,该往复杆26的上端连接至后轴承座9。
可以在利用流体缸23将前轴承座7压在止动器21上并且利用流体缸25将后轴承座9压在止动器22上的情况下设定旋转轴11的旋转中心O1的高度位置和斜度。此处,可以彼此独立地调节止动器21,22的竖直方向的位置。因此,各止动器21,22的高度位置的微调导致可以对旋转中心O1的高度位置和斜度进行微调。
在该实施方案中,可以通过在流体缸23,25内的流体压力来设定在密封操作过程中要施加在工件上的保持压力。另外,当转子15的旋转速度变化的时候,可以调整在密封操作过程中的保持压力。为此,密封设备1包括压力设定部件30,其用于通过调整流体缸23,25内的流体压力来设定保持压力。压力设定部件30包括流体泵31、用于调节从流体泵31至流体缸23,25的流体压力的调节阀32以及用于控制调节阀32的控制器33。
控制器33不仅用于根据由操作者输入的操作来调整所述调节阀32,而且还可以根据转子15的旋转速度自动地调整所述调节阀32。
如图2所示,支撑件41由后支撑框架4a,4b可摇动地支撑。固定环42固定至后支撑框架4a,4b上,而环形滚柱轴承43的内环固定至固定环42上。另一方面,可动环44固定至支撑件41的基部上,而滚柱轴承43的外环固定至可动环44上。
利用滚柱轴承43,支撑件41受到可绕枢轴转动地支撑。滚柱轴承43的外环的旋转中心是支撑件41的支枢点O2。从图2所示的结构中可以看出,转子15的旋转中心O1和支撑件41的支枢点O2彼此单独地设置。由于环状滚柱轴承43固定在后支撑框架4a,4b上,所以支枢点O2是不可以移动的;但是,如前所述,通过调整止动器21,22的高度位置,可以调整旋转中心O1的竖直位置。此处,旋转中心O1的位置被设定为使得支枢点O2与旋转中心O1相一致或者与旋转中心O1几乎重合。
在支撑件41的上部固定有托架45,并且将第二保持构件46安装在该托架45上。该第二保持构件46包括由振动器、放大器等构成的超声波振动发生器47,以及被施加以超声波振动的超声波焊头48。
如图4和5所示,超声波焊头48具有密封贴合表面48a(或者第二密封贴合表面),该表面面对转子15的外周表面15a和砧台16的密封贴合表面16a。超声波焊头48的密封贴合表面48a大到可覆盖砧台16的至少一个密封图案17a,17b,并基本上与转子15的外周表面15a的相切表面平行。
第二保持构件46可相对于托架45调节固定位置,从而在砧台16的密封贴合表面16a和超声波焊头48的密封贴合表面48a之间的间隙δ(见图3)是可以调整的。在该实施方案中,在使前轴承座7压在止动器21上并且使后轴承座9压在止动器22上的情况下,如前所述,通过精细地调整各止动器21,22的高度位置,可以精细地调整旋转中心O1的高度位置和斜度。但是,除了斜度调整之外,还可以改变第二保持构件46相对于托架45的安装角度,以调整两个密封贴合表面16a,48a之间的角度。
如图1所示,往复驱动部件50设置在从固定台2延伸出的固定板(未显示)和支撑件41之间。
往复驱动部件50具有连接杆51,该杆的前端通过连接轴52铰接至支撑件41上。轴53由固定板可旋转地支撑,并且将驱动转子54固定至轴53上。在其后端,连接杆51通过连接轴55可枢转地支撑在驱动转子54上。
往复驱动部件50是一个曲柄机构,其用于将驱动转子54的旋转运动转化为支撑件41的往复运动。将齿状带轮固定在驱动转子54的轴53上,从而旋转能量可以通过齿状带传递至齿状带轮。驱动转子54和转子15被驱动以彼此同步地旋转。例如,在减速之后,可从一公共转子向驱动转子54和转子15提供能量。或者,可以将用于驱动转子15的电动机和用于驱动所述驱动转子54的电动机分开设置,并且可以根据一个电动机的旋转速度的检测信号来控制另一个电动机。
结果,驱动转子54和转子15被彼此同步地驱动,以提供恒定的旋转速度比。使它们彼此同步,从而当设置在转子15上的砧台16的数量是N(N大于或等于1)时,转子15每旋转一次,驱动转子54旋转N次。在该实施方案中,N是6。
当驱动转子15以恒定的角速度沿着逆时针方向旋转并且也驱动所述驱动转子54以恒定的角速度沿着逆时针方向旋转的时候,如图1和3所示,支撑件41由往复驱动部件50的曲柄运动驱动而绕支枢点O2摆动。此时,超声波焊头48的密封贴合表面48a沿着转子15的外周表面往复运动。
如图3所示,第二保持构件46往复运动,从而其中心Oa(它将超声波焊头48的密封贴合表面48a沿着运动方向二等分)从竖直参照线Oy起在沿着逆时针方向为+θ1的角度范围和沿顺时针方向为-θ1的角度范围上运动。通过改变从驱动转子54的旋转中心至连接轴55的中心的半径R(参见图1),可以调整摆动角θ。改变半径R也可以调整在砧台16的密封贴合表面16a和超声波焊头48的密封贴合表面48a之间的相对速度。
另外,设置相位调整部件,用于调整驱动转子54的旋转相位。例如,通过改变驱动转子54相对轴53沿着旋转方向的固定位置可以实现这一点。当驱动所述驱动转子54使其以恒定的角速度旋转的时候,中心Oa的速度基本按照三角函数曲线变化;利用相位调整部件,中心Oa的速度变为最大时的位置可以与竖直参照线Oy相一致,或者可以从该位置朝后或者朝前偏移。
如图1所示,在转子15的导入侧设置导入辊61,在转子15的导出侧设置导出辊62,其中使以带状延伸的柔软工件W经过导入辊61,以预定的缠绕角度缠绕在转子15的外周表面上,然后从导出辊62引出。
以下,将描述使用该密封设备的密封方法。
如上所述,将图6B所示的柔软工件W沿着由箭头(MD)所示的方向从导入辊61向前输送,通过转子15的圆周表面15a,送至导出辊62。柔软工件W是在短裤型一次性尿布的制造过程中部分完成的产品,其中在利用密封设备1在柔软工件W中形成密封Sa,Sb之后,可通过在相邻的密封Sa,Sb之间的位置处进行切割而获得分开的一次性尿布。
在导出辊62的下游,设置有一对运送辊,它们以恒定的速度旋转以沿着MD方向按照恒定速度运送柔软工件W。运送辊被驱动以与转子15同步旋转,从而可以使柔软工件W的运送速度与砧台16的密封贴合表面16a循环的圆周速度V0同步。
图6A显示出柔软工件W在图6B的状态之前的未折叠状态。以下将处于图6A所示状态中的柔软工件W称之为带70。带70具有第一片材72,其大部分隐藏在置于其上的第二片材71的后面。第一片材72的宽度大于第二片材71,从而在一侧70A上,第一片材72以位于第二片材71之上的侧边缘72a折起。同样,在另一侧70B上,第一片材72以位于第二片材71之上的侧边缘72b折起。
在带70的一侧70A上,腰部带75设置在第一片材72和第二片材71之间;在另一侧70B上,腰部带76设置在第一片材72和第二片材71之间。而且在第一片材72和第二片材71之间,设置有腿部带77,78。各腿部带77,78在成波状起伏的同时沿着带70的供给方向延伸。另外,在由腿部带77,78环绕的区域中,形成腿部孔74,它将成为用于将腿插入到短裤型一次性尿布中的开口。
第一片材72和第二片材71是可以透气的,但是不透液体的,并可以通过加热而熔融粘接。例如,它们可以是由热塑性合成纤维构成的纺粘的或者熔吹的非织造织物或者其层叠物。或者,第一片材72和第二片材71中的一个可以是上述非织造织物,而另一个是可以透气的热塑性塑料薄膜。
在相邻的腿孔74之间,将液体吸收体73设置在第二片材71上。这些液体吸收体73可以具有沙漏形或者矩形,它们按照有规律的间隔设置在带70的供给方向上。液体吸收体73可以包括磨木浆、磨木浆和超吸收聚合物(SAP)的混合物、成叠的亲水性非织造织物、气铺浆等。这种吸收材料被包裹在可透液的顶层中。各液体吸收体73通过热熔型粘接剂等被粘接至第二片材71的表面上。
顶层可以是射流喷网非织造织物、通气粘接的非织造织物或者形成有液体通过孔的塑料薄膜。
沿着其纵向延伸的中心线Ow-Ow,将图6A所示的带70对折,并且使液体吸收体73朝内,形成图6B所示的柔软工件W。
设置在密封设备1的转子15的圆周表面15a上的砧台16的圆周方向的间距与设置在柔软工件W的MD方向上的液体吸收体73的间距是一致的。应当指出,在相邻的液体吸收体73之间,柔软工件W具有没有液体吸收体73的部分,其沿着MD方向的尺寸Lw大于砧台16的圆周方向的尺寸L1。
因此,当向转子15的周边提供柔软工件W的时候,液体吸收体73可以在一个位于相邻的砧台16之间的位置处铺放在转子15的圆周表面15a上,而且其中第一片材72、第二片材71、腰部带75,76和腿部带77,78处于折叠状态的没有液体吸收体73的部分被铺放在砧台16的密封贴合表面16a上,如图4所示。
如图4所示,砧台16的密封贴合表面16a离开转子15的圆周表面15a的距离H被设定为等于或者大于柔软工件W的含有液体吸收体73的部分的厚度Tw1。因此,含有液体吸收体73的部分不会从砧台16的密封贴合表面16a的运动轨道突出或者可只略微从该运动轨道突出。
当转子15旋转并且第二保持构件46往复运动的时候,柔软工件W的没有液体吸收体73的部分可以被保持在砧台16的密封贴合表面16a和超声波焊头48的密封贴合表面48a之间;此时,可以根据柔软工件W的没有液体吸收体73的部分的厚度Tw2来精细地调整在密封贴合表面16a和密封贴合表面48a之间的间隙δ。通过改变止动器21,22的高度位置,可以进行这种精细的调整。或者,可以通过改变第二保持构件46相对于托架45的固定位置来进行上述调整。通过这种精细的调整,可以将密封贴合表面16a和密封贴合表面48a之间的间隙δ设定为小于厚度Tw2。
在开始密封操作之前的密封设备1的停止状态下,可以降低在流体缸23,25内的流体压力以使前轴承座7和后轴承座9分别从止动器21,22下降离开。这会导致旋转轴11沿着竖直参照线Oy下降,增大了在转子15的外周表面15a和超声波焊头48的密封贴合表面48a之间的间隙。在图3中,旋转轴11的下降距离由h表示。
在使柔软工件W缠绕在转子15的外周表面15a上之后,如图1所示,可以增强流体缸23,25内的流体压力以将前轴承座7和后轴承座9分别压在止动器21,22上,由此定位旋转轴11。
在密封操作中,驱动转子15以恒定的角速度沿着逆时针方向(CCW)旋转,从而砧台16的密封贴合表面16a可以持续地以恒定的圆周速度V0循环。也驱动所述驱动转子54以恒定的角速度沿着逆时针方向(CCW)旋转,其中旋转运动被通过连接杆51传递给支撑件41,从而支撑件41可以绕支枢点O2往复运动。
超声波焊头48的密封贴合表面48a可以沿着一部分轨道往复运动并同时保持在它和砧台16的密封贴合表面16a之间的间隙δ。此时,超声波焊头48的密封贴合表面48a的中心Oa的圆周速度为Vt,它根据三角函数发生变化,其中该圆周速度Vt基本上为(A·sinφ)·φ可以是由驱动转子54的旋转角确定的常数,A是由轴55的转动半径R确定的常数。也就是说,圆周速度Vt是随着时间而变化的可变速度。超声波焊头48的密封贴合表面48a在中心Oa处的速度在沿着转子15的旋转方向运动时是+Vt,而在沿着相反方向运动时是-Vt。
在当超声波焊头48沿着逆时针方向运动时的部分期间内,柔软工件W被保持在超声波焊头48的密封贴合表面48a和在砧台16的密封贴合表面16a上形成的密封图案17a,17b中的任一个之间,由此进行密封操作。
图4显示出在将柔软工件W保持于密封贴合表面16a和密封贴合表面48a之间并同时使超声波焊头48沿着逆时针方向运动的时刻。此时,密封贴合表面16a以及和其一起运动的柔软工件W相对于超声波焊头48的密封贴合表面48a的相对速度可以表示为V0-Vt。可以在柔软工件W和超声波焊头48的密封贴合表面48a以V0-Vt的相对速度彼此滑动接触的情况下进行密封操作。
因此,可以将如图4和5所示在砧台16的密封贴合表面16a上成对形成的密封图案17a,17b转移至柔软工件W上以分别提供密封Sa,Sb。
往复驱动部件50具有旋转相位调整部件,用于调整驱动转子54的旋转相位。通过利用旋转相位调整部件来调节旋转相位,可以根据密封图案任意设定超声波焊头48的速度+Vt变为最大值时的位置。
在该实施方案中,沿着圆周方向彼此分开的密封图案17a,17b按照关于中心线O3对称的方式设置在砧台16的密封贴合表面16a上。因此,这种设定使得当超声波焊头48的密封贴合表面48a的中心Oa位于密封图案17a,17b的中间位置时圆周速度+Vt变为最大值。更优选的是,将驱动转子54的旋转相设定为使得在中心Oa与中心线O3相一致(或者与竖直参照线Oy相一致)的时刻,该圆周速度+Vt变为最大值。
当这样设定的时候,在中心Oa即将到达竖直参照线Oy之前,如图4所示,密封贴合表面48a的中心Oa与密封图案17a相一致,从而将柔软工件W保持在密封图案17a和超声波焊头48之间,形成密封Sa。随后,在中心Oa刚刚沿着逆时针方向经过竖直参照线Oy之后,密封贴合表面48a的中心Oa与密封图案17b相一致,从而将工件W保持在密封图案17b和超声波焊头48之间,形成密封Sb。
此处,如果设定成在中心Oa位于密封图案17a,17b的中间位置时圆周速度+Vt变为最大值,则在中心Oa面对密封图案17a的时刻和中心Oa面对密封图案17b的时刻之间的相对速度V0-Vt的差值变得非常小。优选地,设定为在中心Oa与竖直参照线Oy相一致时圆周速度+Vt变为最大值,这会导致中心Oa以相同的相对速度V0-Vt面对密封图案17a,17b。
在这种情况下,优选的是,在密封贴合表面48a的中心Oa与竖直参照线Oy相一致的时候,圆周速度+Vt与密封贴合表面16a的圆周速度V0相一致。更优选的是,当密封贴合表面48a的中心Oa与竖直参照线Oy相一致的时候,圆周速度+Vt比密封贴合表面16a的圆周速度V0略大,这会在中心Oa面对密封图案17a的时刻和中心Oa面对密封图案17b的时刻将相对速度V0-Vt减小为0。
如果使密封贴合表面16a,48a之间的间隙δ充分小于柔软工件W的密封形成部分的厚度Tw2,则可以通过在流体缸23,25内的流体压力来设定要施加在位于密封贴合表面16a,48a之间的柔软工件W上的保持压力。在这种情况下,通过经由压力设定部件30设定流体缸23,25内的流体压力,柔软工件W可以始终以适当的保持压力被保持在密封贴合表面16a,48a之间,确定地将密封Sa,Sb的质量保持恒定。
在密封设备1中,由于充分地减少了在保持柔软工件W的过程中密封贴合表面16a,48a之间的相对速度V0-Vt(例如减小为0),可以充分地延长从密封贴合表面16a,48a向柔软工件W的密封能量的施加。但是,如果使转子15的旋转速度以及驱动转子54的旋转速度明显增加,则来自超声波焊头48的密封能量就最终不会适当地施加在柔软工件W上。
因此,在密封设备1中,可以通过控制器33来检测转子15的旋转速度的变化,根据旋转速度调整调节阀32,并改变流体缸23,25内的流体压力。或者,可以根据旋转速度由操作者来操控调节阀32。因此,如果使转子15以及驱动转子54的旋转速度增加,也可以增加施加在位于密封贴合表面16a,48a之间的柔软工件W上的保持压力;相反,如果使旋转速度降低,则可以减少保持压力,由此可以根据从超声波焊头48向柔软工件W施加的密封能量的施加时间的变化来适当地设定保持压力。
另外,在密封设备1中,利用装在砧台16内的盒式加热器和温度传感器,可以将砧台16的温度始终保持在最佳。这防止了砧台16的温度在密封操作过程中被极度降低、以致用于密封的热量逸散至砧台16而导致密封失败,或者防止该温度极度升高,从而熔融的热塑性树脂容易粘附在密封图案17a,17b上。
如图4所示,在密封设备1中,当超声波焊头48沿着逆时针方向运动的时候,柔软工件W首先被保持在沿转动方向位于前侧的密封图案17a和超声波焊头48的密封贴合表面48a之间,其中在密封贴合表面48a与柔软工件W滑动接触的情况下进行密封操作以形成密封Sa。随后,柔软工件W被保持在下一个密封图案17b和密封贴合表面48a之间,其中利用与柔软工件W滑动接触的密封贴合表面48a形成密封Sb。然后,超声波焊头48的密封贴合表面48a沿着顺时针方向以-Vt的速度运动。更具体地说,密封贴合表面48a沿着顺时针方向向回运动离开砧台16,以在没有砧台16的区域中在柔软工件W上滑动。此后,当密封贴合表面48a再次沿着逆时针方向运动的时候,利用超声波焊头48和下一个循环的砧台16重复图4中所示的密封操作。
因此,即使连续地向超声波焊头48施加超声波振动,也可以仅在柔软工件被保持在密封图案17a,17b和超声波焊头48之间的时候进行密封操作。但是,也可以检测转子15的旋转相位并进行控制,从而仅在柔软工件W被保持在密封图案17a,17b和超声波焊头48之间的时候向超声波焊头48施加超声波振动。
该密封设备还可以设有检测部件,例如光学传感器,以用于检测在竖直参照线Oy之前和之后的柔软工件W的厚度,由此当产生输送问题而使得柔软工件W的液体吸收体73运行在砧台16的密封贴合表面16a上时,可以立刻操作调节阀32来减少流体缸23,25内的流体压力以下降旋转轴11,这会立刻防止发生柔软工件W的卡住。
在如此进行密封操作以在柔软工件W中形成密封Sa,Sb之后,如图6B所示,通过利用设置在密封设备1下游的切刀,可以将柔软工件W分成独立的短裤型一次性尿布,其中可以沿着位于相邻的密封Sa,Sb之间的切割线C1进行切割。
尽管已经参考示例性实施方案图示并描述了本发明,但是本领域的技术人员可以理解,可以对其作出前述的和各种其它的变化、省略和添加,而不会脱离本发明的精神和范围。

也应当指出,可以在制造一次性尿布、卫生巾等的过程之前、单独的利用密封设备1进行例如非织造织物、薄膜或者其组合物的片材叠的密封,从而可以在密封之后向该制造过程提供复合材料。
因此,本发明应当理解为不限于上面所述的具体实施方案,而是包括可落入到由所附权利要求的特征以及其等同物所限定的范围内的各种可能的实施方案。
工业实用性
根据本发明,如前所述,可以在将第一保持构件和工件相对于第二保持构件的相对速度保持为较低的情况下进行密封操作,其中由连续旋转的转子运送柔软工件。因此,可以充分地延长向工件施加密封能量的时间,从而可以在驱动转子高速旋转的同时进行高速的密封操作。

Claims (12)

1.一种密封设备,包括具有第一密封贴合表面(16a)的第一保持构件(16)以及具有第二密封贴合表面(48a)的第二保持构件(46),该设备用于将热塑性柔软工件(W)保持在第一和第二密封贴合表面(16a,48a)之间以进行密封,
第一保持构件(16)设置在转子(15)的周边上,并且使第一密封贴合表面(16a)沿径向朝外,第二保持构件(46)由支撑件(41)支撑,而且使第二密封贴合表面(48a)面对第一密封贴合表面(16a),其中
该设备还包括:用于驱动转子(15)旋转的旋转驱动部件;以及往复驱动部件,其用于驱动支撑件(41),以使得第二密封贴合表面(48a)沿着第一密封贴合表面(16a)的部分轨道往复运动,由此在第二保持构件(46)沿着与第一保持构件(16)相同的方向移动的时候,可以将柔软工件(W)保持在第一和第二密封贴合表面(16a,48a)之间以进行密封。
2.如权利要求1所述的密封设备,其特征为,当设置在转子(15)上的第一保持构件(16)的数量是N的时候,转子(15)每旋转一次,第二保持构件(46)的往复运动进行N个循环。
3.如权利要求1所述的密封设备,其特征为,当以恒定的角速度驱动转子(15)旋转的时候,以第一密封贴合表面(16a)以恒定的圆周速度(V0)运动,而第二密封贴合表面(48a)沿着与第一密封贴合表面(16a)相同的方向运动的的圆周速度(Vt)随着时间变化,从而在它们之间保持柔软的工件(W)以进行密封的第一和第二密封贴合表面(16a,48a)以变化的相对速度(V0-Vt)运动。
4.如权利要求3所述的密封设备,其特征为,在第一保持构件(16)上设置沿着转子(15)的圆周方向彼此分开的两个密封图案(17a,17b),并且同相地调节第二密封贴合表面(48a)的圆周速度(Vt),从而在第二保持构件(46)的中心(Oa)位于两个密封图案(17a,17b)之间的中间的时候将相对速度(V0-Vt)降低至最小。
5.如权利要求3所述的密封设备,其特征为,允许支撑件(41)在其支枢点(O2)与转子(15)的旋转中心(O1)一致或者基本一致的情况下进行摆动运动,而且往复驱动部件是曲柄机构,用于将均匀的旋转运动转化为支撑件(41)的往复运动。
6.如权利要求1所述的密封设备,其特征为,转子(15)的旋转轴(11)可以朝着第二保持构件(46)运动,该密封设备还包括压力设定部件,以用于设定在使转子(15)压在第二保持构件(46)上时将向位于第一和第二密封贴合表面(16a,48a)之间的柔软工件(W)施加的保持压力。
7.如权利要求6所述的密封设备,其特征为,通过压力设定部件设定的保持压力可以如此调节,以致可根据转子(15)的旋转速度而变化。
8.一种密封方法,包括将热塑性柔软工件(W)保持在具有第一密封贴合表面(16a)的第一保持构件(16)以及具有第二密封贴合表面(48a)的第二保持构件(46)之间以进行密封,其中,
驱动第一保持构件(16)环行,且使第一密封贴合表面(16a)沿与其轨道垂直的方向朝外,将柔软的工件(W)送到第一保持构件(16)上,以便和第一密封贴合表面(16a)一起运动,并且驱动第二保持构件(46)沿着一部分所述轨道往复运动,且使第二密封贴合表面(48a)面对第一密封贴合表面(16a),其中
第一密封贴合表面(16a)以恒定的圆周速度(V0)运动,而第二密封贴合表面(48a)沿着与第一密封贴合表面(16a)相同的方向运动的圆周速度(Vt)随着时间变化,从而在它们之间保持柔软工件(W)以进行密封的第一和第二密封贴合表面(16a,48a)以变化的相对速度(V0-Vt)运动。
9.如权利要求8所述的密封方法,其特征为,在第一保持构件(16)上设置沿着其循环方向彼此分开的两个密封图案(17a,17b),并且同相调节第二密封贴合表面(48a)的圆周速度(Vt),从而在第二保持构件(46)的中心(Oa)位于两个密封图案(17a,17b)之间的中间的时候将相对速度(V0-Vt)降低至最小。
10.如权利要求8所述的密封方法,其特征为,第二保持构件(46)由曲柄机构往复驱动,以将均匀的旋转运动转化为往复运动。
11.如权利要求8所述的密封方法,其特征为,当以恒定的间距循环的第一保持构件(16)的数量是N的时候,每个第一保持构件(16)的每次循环,第二保持构件(46)的往复运动进行N个循环。
12.如权利要求8所述的密封方法,其特征为,柔软的工件(W)包括在其供给方向上间隔设置的液体吸收体(73)以及支撑该液体吸收体(73)的可熔融粘接的片材,其中,位于在相邻的液体吸收体(73)之间的位置处,将一叠片材保持在第一和第二密封贴合表面(16a,48a)之间以用于密封。
