图2示出了使用来自光源(例如根据实施例由装置20示出的投影机或激光器)的激发光(例如紫外光或红外光)照射的透明显示器的示意图。基体14可以接收来自光源(例如投影机或激光器20)的激发光。接收到的激发光可以被基体14处的发光材料吸收。当发光材料接收到激发光时,发光材料可以发出可见光。因此,可以通过使用激发光选择性地照射基体14在基体14处产生图像(例如圆15和三角16)。
在图1所示实施例中,激发光由包括投影机的装置121输出。投影机可以是数字投影机。在实施例中,投影机是微镜阵列(MMA)投影机(例如数字光处理(DLP)投影机)。输出紫外光的MMA投影机可以类似于输出可见光的MMA投影机,只是色轮具有适合于紫外光谱的滤光器。在其他实施例中,投影机是液晶显示(LCD)投影机。在实施例中,投影机可以是硅基液晶(LCOS)投影机。在实施例中,投影机可以是模拟投影机(例如幻灯胶片投影机或电影胶片投影机)。本领域的技术人员将意识到可以用于在基体14上投射紫外光的其他类型投影机。

可以应用其他方法将发光材料整合到基体14的表面上。类似于图2所示实施例,每种发光材料均可以是不同类型的发光材料,其响应不同波长范围的激发光(例如紫外或红外光)而发出不同波长范围的可见光。发光材料可以是荧光材料,其响应于对电磁辐射(例如可见光、紫外光或红外光)的吸收而发出可见光,该电磁辐射具有与发出的可见光不同的波长。发光材料可以包括发光颗粒。
透明或基本透明显示器可以具有许多应用。例如,透明或基本透明显示器可以在停泊交通工具的透明或半透明窗上显示图像,所述交通工具例如机动车、摩托车、飞行器和船舶;图像可以是个人的或对应于车辆状态的讯息。例如,当前情况下一旦车辆被启动就被显示在仪表盘电子显示器上的车辆机能可以被投影到窗上(例如前玻璃、挡风屏、侧玻璃、后玻璃)以便在车辆的操作者进入且启动车辆之前被传达给该操作者。此外,定制图形(例如运动队队标)可以被投影到窗上,代替被放置在窗上的永久贴纸或代替对于附连于车辆的标记的需要。
可想到的实施例包括在车辆的基本透明屏或窗上显示要被传达到车辆外部的图形,其中该图形描述了所需讯息。所需讯息被EVS系统管理器110监控并且呈现所需讯息的外部呈现模式也被EVS系统管理器110监控。描述所需讯息的图形被确定,并且图形在基本透明屏上的位置被EVS系统管理器110标示以便将所需讯息传达到车辆外部。当启动了呈现所需讯息的被监控外部呈现模式时,图形被显示在基本透明屏上。如上所述,基本透明屏包括在屏或窗的预定区域上允许发光显示且允许通过其传播的发光颗粒或微结构中的一种。
如上所述,将要被呈现的所需讯息能够包括个人讯息。个人讯息能够包括定制标志,其中描述定制标志的图形包括定制图形。定制图形能够包括喜爱的运动队队标、大学标识、娱乐标识和政治标识。定制图形能够被标示在车辆的任意窗上,包括车辆的后窗,以便定制图形可以沿公路被传达给尾随车辆。应该意识到被标示在车辆窗上的定制图形能够代替对于被物理粘附到车辆窗上的永久贴纸或附连于车辆本身的标记的使用。参考图3A,定制图形302的一个示例被显示在车辆300的后窗310上。描述了所需讯息的定制图形302能够从HMI装置120内存储的数据库获取或者经由无线通信系统145获取。在另一示例中,所需个人讯息能够包括描述当前正进行的体育赛事的文本图形。文本图形能够利用互联网内容、蜂窝广播内容190或卫星广播内容180经由无线通信系统145获取。参考图3A,描述运动比分的文本图形304被显示在车辆300的后窗310上。个人讯息能够进一步包括个人消息。例如,描述个人消息的文本图形能够被标示在车辆的乘客窗上以便传达到车辆外部。例如,母亲可以留下个人消息以便她的孩子从学校回家时能够读取得知她出门遛狗且晚饭时将按时回家。参考图3B,描述个人消息的文本图形402的一种示例被显示在车辆400的后方乘客侧窗410上。应该理解,包括个人讯息的所需讯息不限于利用文本图形的个人消息和利用定制图形的定制标志,还能够包括描述实质上个人地传达给车辆300和400外部某人的讯息的任意图形。
被传达给车辆外部的所需讯息还能够包括与车辆状态对应的讯息。对于车辆的操作者而言理想的是在进入车辆之前得知并了解车辆状态。例如,车辆电池可以充电且对于车辆操作者而言理想的是能够快速地确定电池充电状态而不必须进入到车辆内部且/或启动车辆来读取电子仪表盘以获得电池充电状态。能够通过监控车辆机能模块140来确定车辆状态,包括监控与车辆机能相关的仪表。EVS系统管理器110能够确定描述与车辆机能相关的仪表的图释性图形。在示例中,图释性图形可以描述电池充电状态和燃料水平,其中图释性图形能够被标示在车辆的窗上以便在驾驶员进入车辆之前被传达到驾驶员。参考图3B,标示在车辆400的前侧窗404上的图释性图形404包括描述四分之三充电量的电池符号以及描述满燃料水平的燃料表。此外,能够通过利用车载传感器来监控胎压、机油水平、发动机运行温度或影响车辆驾驶性能的其他参数来监控车辆控制模块125从而确定车辆状态。如果车载传感器中的一个或多个确定车辆驾驶性可能受到威胁,则EVS系统管理器110可以利用描述报警消息的报警图形在车辆的窗上显示该报警图形。例如,参考图3A,标示在车辆300的后窗310上的报警图形306能够包括向该车辆后方行驶的车辆传达乘客侧前胎漏气的文本信息。报警图形能够被确定成以亮色闪烁以便引起在该车辆后尾随的任意车辆的注意从而警告尾随车辆车胎漏气。监控与车辆状态对应的讯息还可以包括监控来自于内部车舱模块145的内部车舱信息。如上所述,内部车舱模块145监控车辆100的内部车舱的环境,包括内部车舱的温度。例如,描述车舱内的温度的图形能够包括描述内部车舱温度的文本图形。参考图3B,文本图形406被标示在后方乘客侧窗408上以便描述车辆400的车舱内的温度。
EVS系统管理器110还监控被构造成呈现所需讯息的外部呈现模块。与所需讯息对应的输入被EVS系统管理器110接收,并且基于所接收的输入来启动呈现所需讯息的外部呈现模式。如上所述,当外部呈现模式被启动时,描述所需讯息的图形被显示在车辆的屏或窗上。与所需讯息对应的输入能够包括从车辆100的乘客向HMI装置120的呈现所需讯息的命令输入,其中在操作者向HMI装置120输入命令输入后立即启动呈现所需讯息的外部呈现模式。例如,车辆的操作者能够输入被显示作为车辆乘客窗上的图形的个人消息,其中当输入个人消息时启动外部呈现模式并显示图形。可替代地,车辆的操作者能够输入将在接收到命令输入后所需时间段(例如半个小时)被显示作为车辆乘客窗上的图形的个人消息,其中该命令输入包括输入到HMI装置120中的个人消息,其中在向HMI装置120输入个人消息半个小时后启动外部呈现模式并显示图形。接收与所需讯息对应的输入可包括接收无线地传达到车辆以便呈现所需讯息的命令输入。例如,利用PDA装置或手提电脑,操作者能够与车辆无线地通信从而在车辆的窗上显示描述所需讯息(例如个人消息或车辆状态)的图形。基于无线通信的命令输入,外部呈现模式能够在接收到无线通信的命令输入后被立即启动以便呈现描述所需讯息的图形或者在接收到命令输入一所需时间段时被启动以便呈现该图形。应该理解,蜂窝广播内容190和/或卫星广播内容180能够用于无线地将所述输入传达到EVS系统管理器110。在另一示例中,车辆操作者能够利用钥匙扣(key FOB)装置向EVS系统管理器110发送启动命令从而启动外部呈现模式。类似地,钥匙扣装置能够被用于通过向EVS系统管理器110发送停用命令来停用外部呈现模式。例如,车辆的操作者可能希望在进入车辆之前观察车辆状态,并且能够通过如下方式这样做,即利用钥匙扣装置来启动外部呈现模式来显示描述车辆状态的图形。在又一示例中,外部呈现模式能够基于探测到车辆附近的行人而被启动来呈现所需讯息。行人探测是本领域公知的,并且本领域中公知的用于探测行人的方法包括运动传感器、红外传感器和雷达传感器。例如,由车辆的操作者留下的个人讯息能够在行人接近车辆时的任意时刻被显示从而允许仅在某人接近车辆时显示图形。类似地,能够在没有在车辆附近探测到行人时停用外部呈现模式。在又一示例中,监控车辆的选定档位,并且当探测到选定档位处于停车时,呈现所需讯息的外部呈现模式被启动。例如,在体育赛事时尾随(tailgating)的队伍可能需要如下的个人讯息,即包括在尾随期间显示在车辆的窗上的定制图形的个人讯息。当车辆停车时,外部呈现模式被启动,其中能够显示窗上的图形。
监控呈现所需讯息的外部呈现模式还能够基于车辆-车辆通讯。车辆-车辆通讯包括将呈现请求从第二车辆传输到该车辆,其中呈现请求对应于所需讯息。基于呈现请求,外部呈现模式被启动,其中被传达到车辆外部的图形的位置被标示在车辆的窗上以便传达到第二车辆。例如,第二车辆能够传输对应于车辆的计划路线的呈现请求,其中描述车辆的计划路线的计划路线图形能够被显示在车辆的后窗上以便第二车辆能够观察到描述车辆的计划路线的计划路线图形。
控制上述方法的信息流和过程能够采用多种实施例。图4示意性示出了根据本公开内容实施上述方法的示例性信息流。过程500包括:EVS系统管理器110,其监控所需讯息502和504并且监控呈现所需讯息的外部呈现模式511。所需讯息能够包括对应于车辆状态502和所需个人讯息504的讯息。过程500还包括:EVS图形系统155,其监控来自EVS系统管理器110的显示需求并且产生图形命令;以及图形投影系统158,其将光投射到车辆的基本透明屏上,该基本透明屏能够包括挡风屏、侧窗和后窗。大量用于监控所需讯息的示例性源被描述,包括用于监控与车辆状态502对应的讯息的源,包括:车辆控制模块525、车舱模块541和车辆机能模块540。大量用于监控所需个人讯息504的示例性源包括来自HMI装置520和无线通信系统545的输入,该无线通信系统545包括蜂窝广播内容590、互联网内容585和车辆-车辆通信556。用于监控外部呈现模式511的源包括钥匙扣输入550、当前档位选择548、行人探测546、来自HMI装置520的输入、车辆-车辆通信556、互联网内容585和蜂窝广播内容590。应该意识到用于监控所需讯息和外部呈现模式的方法不限于上述源。
应该意识到这些信息源能够采取如本公开内容中描述的多种形式,并且本公开内容不试图被限制于这里描述的具体实施例。应该意识到蜂窝广播内容590、车辆机能内容540和互联网内容585能够是相互依赖的信息。这些信息源之间的相关性能够产生于EVS系统管理器100内,或如图4所示,向EVS系统管理器110提供信息的装置能够包括程序从而在向系统管理器提供信息之前或同时地协调信息。通过这个示例性过程,信息能够被监控且被利用以便将图像投影到车辆内的任意窗上从而被传达到车辆外部。
上述公开内容描述了能够全屏显示的基本透明屏。应该意识到类似方法能够被用在利用基本全屏显示或部分屏显示的屏上。如上所述,基本透明屏可以包括车辆的任意塑料或玻璃窗,包括:驾驶员侧窗、前方乘客侧窗、后方乘客侧窗、挡风屏、后窗或遮阳顶。可以预见到许多显示器的实施例,并且本公开内容不试图被限制于这里描述的具体示例性实施例。
本公开内容已经描述了某些优选实施例及其改型。当阅读且理解了说明书时还可以进行其他改型和改变。因此,本公开内容不试图被限制于作为实现本公开内容的最佳实施方式所公开的具体实施例,而是本公开内容将包括落入所附权利要求范围中的所有实施例。
Claims (10)
1.一种在车辆的基本透明屏上显示图形以便被传达到车辆外部的方法,该图形描述了所需讯息,该方法包括:
监控所需讯息;
监控呈现所需讯息的外部呈现模式;
确定描述所需讯息的所述图形;
将所述图形的位置标示在所述基本透明屏上以便被传达到所述车辆的外部;以及
在基本透明屏上显示所述图形,包括在所述屏的预定区域上的发光颗粒或微结构中的一种允许发光显示且同时允许通过其传播。
2.根据权利要求1所述的方法,其中监控所需讯息包括监控所需个人讯息。
3.根据权利要求2所述的方法,其中所需个人讯息包括定制标志;
其中描述所需讯息的所述图形包括描述所述定制标志的定制图形;以及
其中所述定制图形被标示在所述车辆的后窗上以便被传达到所述车辆的外部,该后窗包括所述基本透明屏。
4.根据权利要求2所述的方法,其中所需个人讯息包括个人消息;
其中描述所需讯息的所述图形包括描述所述个人消息的文本图形;以及
其中所述文本图形被标示在所述车辆的乘客窗上以便被传达到所述车辆的外部,该乘客窗包括所述基本透明屏。
5.根据权利要求1所述的方法,其中监控所需讯息包括监控与车辆状态对应的讯息。
6.根据权利要求5所述的方法,其中监控所述与车辆状态对应的讯息包括监控与车辆机能相关的仪表;
其中描述所需讯息的所述图形包括描述所述与车辆机能相关的仪表的图释图形;以及
其中所述图释图形被标示在车辆的窗上以便在驾驶员进入该车辆之前被传达到驾驶员,所述窗包括所述基本透明屏。
7.根据权利要求5所述的方法,其中监控所述与车辆状态对应的讯息包括监控与车辆驾驶性相关的报警消息;
其中描述所需讯息的所述图形包括描述与车辆驾驶性相关的所述报警消息的报警图形;
其中所述报警图形被标示在车辆的窗上以便被传达到所述车辆的外部,所述窗包括所述基本透明屏。
8.根据权利要求5所述的方法,其中监控所述与车辆状态对应的讯息包括监控内部车舱消息;
其中描述所需讯息的所述图形包括描述所述内部车舱消息的文本图形;以及
其中该文本图形被标示在车辆的窗上以便在驾驶员进入该车辆之前被传达到驾驶员,所述窗包括所述基本透明屏。
9.一种在车辆的基本透明屏上显示图形以便被传达到车辆外部的方法,该图形描述所需讯息,该方法包括:
监控所需讯息;
监控呈现所需讯息的外部呈现模式;包括:
接收与所需讯息对应的启动输入;
基于所接收的启动输入启动所述外部呈现模式以呈现所需讯息;
确定描述所需讯息的所述图形;
将所述图形的位置标示在所述基本透明屏上以便被传达到所述车辆的外部;
当所述外部呈现模式被启动时,在基本透明屏上显示所述图形,包括在所述屏的预定区域上的发光颗粒或微结构中的一种允许发光显示且同时允许通过其传播。
10.一种在车辆的基本透明屏上显示图形以便在所述车辆的外部被观察到的系统,该图形描述所需讯息,该系统包括:
基本透明屏,其在挡风屏的预定区域上包括发光颗粒或微结构中的一种从而允许发光显示且同时允许通过其传播;
视觉增强系统系统管理器:
监控所需讯息,
监控呈现所需讯息的外部呈现模式,
确定描述所需讯息的所述图形,
将所述图形的位置标示在所述基本透明屏上以便被传达到所述车辆的外部;
图形系统,其基于被标示的所述图形的位置产生描述所需讯息的所述图形;以及
图形投影系统,其与所述图形系统通信并且在所述基本透明屏上显示描述所需讯息的所述图形以便在所述车辆的外部被观察到。
