技术领域
本发明大体上涉及一种涂料喷涂设备,更具体地涉及在旋转钟形杯中固定(retention)溅板(splash plate)或偏流器(deflector)的新装配方式。
背景技术
人们已知油漆、喷涂设备能被应用于多种场合。这些设备包括能通过基座单元向雾化钟形杯供给油漆或其他液体涂料的装置。所述钟形杯为附加在位于基座前旋转的中空轴上的组件。所述基座通常为雾化器,且通常包括能高速自转的空气驱动涡轮机,一般转速为30,000到70,000RPM及以上。在操作中,涂料通过雾化器,进入钟形杯组件。所述涂料接触到溅板或偏流器,导致所述液体沿旋转钟形杯的内表面被分散。人们已知使用各种不同形状的钟形杯,他们现在被用于不同类型的油漆、涂料和其他等材料。所述流体从位于溅板与钟形杯内表面之间的环形区域内流出,并沿钟形杯流至一边缘,并从该边缘处被推进。所述钟形杯组件可以被充电,或者环绕雾化器的电极可以为油漆或涂料充电,使其在静电荷的作用下向被处于反向充电状态的工件流动。
尽管被用于这样设备中的钟形杯的具体形状不同,一般是提供一种溅板组件,使其契合在形成于钟形杯基座上的孔中。所述组件经常被嵌入所述孔中且通过固定环配置(retaining ring arrangement)而被固定在该孔中。这种类型的一般传统配置如图4所示。如该图所示,钟形杯C容纳嵌入件I,在其上固定溅板SP。所述溅板SP可以通过销钉P的方式被固定在嵌入件I中,销钉P还能使溅板与嵌入件间隔一定距离。嵌入件I围绕其边缘具有环形槽G。固定环R被卡装在所述槽中,当所述溅板与嵌入件在安装中被放入容纳孔中时,固定环R被嵌入与钟形杯的内部肩状接触。
在这样的配置中,为此目的,当销钉P被压入溅板的开口与嵌入件时,开口会使槽G的径向内表面或底部变形。当这种情况发生,所述槽可能需要被重新加工以去除这样的变形。另外,所述保持环R被插入槽中径向延伸,如果出现上述变形,在上述变形区域,固定环R可能会过度径向延伸而离开槽。固定环可能会在将溅板组件压入钟形杯时被损坏或断裂。这可能导致所述溅板组件不能被有效、稳定地组装入钟形杯中以承受钟形杯在使用中受到的力。
因此,人们需要改进旋转式钟形杯和溅板组件设计。特别地,人们需要能避免和上述类型设计中的传统固定环出现的相关问题。
发明内容
本发明提供一种新颖的溅板和钟形杯设计能满足上述需要。特别地,本发明提供旋转钟形杯组件以雾化油漆或可流动涂料,包括钟形杯和溅板组件。所述钟形杯有内部通道以引导油漆通向出口。所述溅板组件包括设置于出口前的溅板和将溅板固定在其上的嵌入件,所述嵌入件包括有倒钩的部分,被设置为与钟形杯的内表面部分卡啮合(snapping engagement)以将所述溅板固定在钟形杯上。
本发明还提供了旋转钟形杯组件以雾化油漆或可流动的涂料,包括具有可引导油漆通向出口的内部通道的钟形杯,和溅板组件,而该溅板组件包括位于出口之前的溅板与固定所述溅板的嵌入件,所述嵌入件包括具有能与钟形杯内表面接触的整体装置的单片,从而可将所述溅板组件固定在钟形杯上。

具体实施方式
图1为结合本发明特点的示例钟形杯组件10的图。所述组件由钟形杯12和按照下文描述那样安装在钟形杯中的溅板组件14组成。总体上,钟形杯具有杯体16,可由单个金属部件制成或由部件组装而成,和适于与雾化器(未在图中显示)的中空轴螺纹连接的螺纹开口18。通道20被定义成由螺纹开口开始,通过溅板组件,到钟形表面22结束。在操作中,雾化器轴绕中心线24高速旋转钟形杯,并通过开口和通道注入油漆或任何合适的涂料。所述油漆或涂料通过溅板组件14且围绕该组件沿钟形表面22内壁形成薄膜。由于作用于油漆或涂料材料上的离心力作用,所述材料被迫流向钟形的外边缘,从那里,所述材料被分成多股或微观雾粒从而被应用于工件(未在图中显示)上。

在图示实施例中,钟形杯体包括溅板接合部分26,被设计为将溅板接受、容纳在合适位置的特点。这些将在以下进行更详细描述。另外,溅板接合部分26的上游部分为环形开口28以接受溅板组件,被钟形杯应用的油漆或涂料通过该开口流过。如下文将要详细描述的那样,所述溅板接合部26分有内表面30,其上形成有一些特点以固定所述溅板组件,且有帮助于从钟形杯上被移除以维修和替换。
溅板组件14总体上包括溅板32和固定所述溅板的嵌入件34。溅板大体上为平面结构,通过中心线24向钟形杯内壁延伸,从而界定环形开口,在操作中,油漆或涂料在该环形开口中流经。溅板表面的形状可以选择以提供各种流量特性。比如,如图实施例所示,溅板上游边上的流向引导平面可被形成为更顺畅地引导油漆或涂料向外边缘流动,尽管某些溅板或者偏流器可能不包括上述特征。类似地,,取决于所述组件意在如何计量、分散流向,溅板外端形状可能与钟形杯内表面平行,或者这两部分形成收敛角或发散角。
通过一系列销钉36,溅板被固定在嵌入件34上。可以提供合适数量的销钉,在目前设想的实施例中,这样的三个销钉位于组件径向对称的位置。图示实施例中的每个销钉包括中心部分,界定在溅板与嵌入件之间合适的距离,作为该位置的支座点(standoff)。因此,相对嵌入件前表面而言,所述销钉合适地为溅板的后表面38定位。所述嵌入件包括内通道40,从而液体可以在嵌入件与溅板后表面38之间界定的空间中流动。凹入42被设置在溅板上以容纳销钉36的突出部分,类似的凹入44还形成于嵌入件上。
所述溅板和嵌入件可以由任何合适的材料制成,比如填充或未填充缩醛树脂。另一方面,所述销钉可由更坚硬的材料制成,比如不锈钢。在图示实施例中,所述销钉有倒钩以防止其被从溅板或嵌入件上轻易移除。
所述嵌入件,位于溅板一对边,具有环形延伸部分46,其延伸到形成于钟形杯的开口28中并由开口28接受。所述延伸部分被裙缘48包围,至少部分被包围,从而所述延伸部分可以在总体上地插入与移除嵌入件和溅板组件的过程中弹性变形。环状空间50将裙缘48与嵌入件的延伸部分46分离,以允许裙缘48在其形变过程中向内偏转。
这些特征在图2中有更详细显示,图2为图1中嵌入件下部连接到钟形杯体的放大图。如上述,嵌入件34被容纳在钟形杯杯体16中。裙缘48至少部分环绕开口或,在裙缘与云嵌入件延伸部分46之间的空间50。一个或多个倒钩52形成于裙缘的外边侧。这些倒钩,可能是圆形、锥形或其他形状,界定被形成于钟形杯内表面的肩状部分54所容纳的延伸部分。另外,裙缘48在裙缘插入边位于倒钩52的前面有一锥形表面。因此,当所述嵌入件与钟形杯接触时,锥形表面56将插入力量转变为使裙缘弹性向内形变的力量,如图2的箭头所示。当倒钩52穿过(clear)肩状部分54时,裙缘则径向向外回复,从而倒钩保持接触在肩状部分54中,以固定(retention)嵌入件与溅板组件到位。
在图示实施例中,所述组件还包括一些特征能辅助从钟形杯上移除嵌入件与溅板组件,以进行维修和替换。具体地,优选如图2所示,肩部分54具有锥形或倒角在正常操作时,倒钩52和肩部分54直接对靠。当倒钩52被钟形杯的锥面54压缩时,从钟形杯螺纹开口内,作用于嵌入件的力可使裙缘弹性形变(见图1)。一旦倒钩52脱离肩部分54,那么,嵌入件可以轻易从钟形杯上被移除。
在目前设想的实施例中,所述裙缘是开槽,以便于其弹性形变。优选如图3所示。从图3可以看到,如上述描述的那样,嵌入件通过延伸到裙缘48后侧的环形延伸部分46,与溅板配合。也可见销钉36延伸进嵌入件。含有倒钩52的裙缘48,包括多个缺口60将裙缘分为多个部分,以允许在插入、移除溅板组件的过程中易于变形。在图示实施例中,这些缺口相应位于销钉36的位置上。因此,即使嵌入件的材料由于插入销钉而变形,任何变形均不会影响由有倒钩裙缘48界定的固定部件的作用。在实践中,任何数量的缺口都可以被提供,取决于这些因素比如:材料的硬度、裙缘的长度、插入或移除所需要的力等等。实际上,在一些特定实施例中,裙缘可以被简化成多个有倒钩的延伸部分。所有的这样变化均落在本发明之后权利要求界定的范围之内。
这些结构易于由传统制造技术制造(比如,模铸和/或加工),但能在使用中提供一种稳固的结构将固定溅板组件到位。如上所述,这样的配置可以被用于不同的钟形杯和溅板设计和配置中,但也能避免传统设计中存在的问题,特别是依赖保持环或类似固定结构的问题。另外,这样的设计可以对大多数现存钟形杯进行改型(retrofit),而不需要对钟形杯进行变动(alternation),特别是那些含有与溅板组件为一体的倒钩配合的肩部结构或类似内部特征以增加保持力的钟形杯。

Claims (24)

1.雾化可流动涂料的旋转钟形杯组件,包括:
钟形杯,包括引导液体通向出口的内部通道;和
溅板组件,包括设置于出口前的溅板以及固定至所述溅板的嵌入件,其中所述溅板与所述嵌入件在所述溅板组件中是分开的两部分,并且所述嵌入件包括有与所述嵌入件为一体的倒钩部分,被设置为与钟形杯的内表面部分卡啮合以将所述溅板组件固定在钟形杯上;其中,所述嵌入件在所述溅板的对边,其具有延伸到形成于钟形杯的开口中并由所述开口所接收的环形延伸部分,所述环形延伸部分被具有所述一体倒钩部分的外裙缘所包围;其中环形空间将外裙缘与嵌入件的延伸部分分离。

19.按照权利要求17所述的组件,其中所述溅板被通过多个销钉固定在嵌入件上。
20.按照权利要求17所述的组件,所述外裙缘具有至少一个倒钩以配合钟形杯内表面。
21.按照权利要求20所述的组件,其中所述外裙缘在所述至少一个倒钩前面具有锥形表面。
22.按照权利要求20所述的组件,其中带倒钩的外裙缘包括至少一个轴向缺口,部分封闭以使嵌入件与钟形杯配合时允许外裙缘的变形。
23.按照权利要求17所述的组件,其中所述嵌入件包括由合成树脂成型的单片。
24.按照权利要求17所述的组件,其中所述嵌入件包括位于中间的液体流动部分,至少部分被带倒钩部分环绕,进一步向后延伸到带倒钩部分之后。
