Abstract

Patente de Invenção: "LENTES EFICIENTES COM PODER DE MODIFICAçãO PóS-FABRICAçãO". A presente invenção se refere a lentes que são capazes de modificações de poder pós-fabricação. Em geral, as lentes inventivas compreendem: (i) uma primeira matriz polimérica e (ii) uma composição de modulação de refração que é capaz de polimerização induzida por estímulo dispersa nela. Quando pelo menos uma parte da lente é exposta a um estímulo apropriado, a composição de modulação de refração forma uma segunda matriz polimérica. A quantidade e a localização da segunda matriz polimérica pode modificar uma característica da lente, tal como o poder da lente por alteração do seu índice de refração e/ou por alteração da sua forma. As lentes inventivas têm várias aplicações nos campos da eletrónica e médico, como meios de armazenamento de dados e como lentes médicas, particularmente, lentes intraoculares, respectivamente.
