Abstract

a presente invenção trata-se de um método para estabilizar uma composição de fase condensada em um processo de fabricação de um poliéster a partir de monômero de éster cíclico que compreende as etapas de desvolatilizar uma mistura de reação, que contém i) pelo menos um éster cíclico polimerizável, ii) pelo menos um catalisador e, opcionalmente, pelo menos um iniciador, para produzir uma corrente de vapor e um resíduo fundido, em que a corrente de vapor inclui, principalmente, i) o pelo menos um éster cíclico polimerizável e ii) o pelo menos um catalisador e/ou o pelo menos um iniciador e/ou um produto de reação ou um resíduo do pelo menos um catalisador e/ou o pelo menos um iniciador e condensar a corrente de vapor para formar a composição de fase condensada, em que pelo menos um inibidor de polimerização é adicionado como estabilizador à mistura de reação e/ou à composição de fase condensada em uma quantidade para que o grau de conversão do éster cíclico polimerizável na composição de fase condensada seja não mais que 15 %, em que o grau de conversão é 100¿(c0 - cf)/c0, em que c0 é a concentração inicial do éster cíclico na composição de fase condensada obtida através da condensação da corrente de vapor e cf é a concentração do éster cíclico na composição de fase condensada após adição de 150 ppm de octoato de estanho como catalisador e de 100 mmol/kg de etil-hexanol como iniciador à composição de fase condensada e um tratamento térmico subsequente de composição de fase condensada sob condições atmosféricas inertes por 12 horas a 160 °c.
