Abstract

"REDUçãO DE BORRACHA". A presente invenção refere-se a um método para reduzir borracha vulcanizada. O método compreende as etapas de aquecer a borracha, onde a borracha inclui borracha sintética, na presença de um solvente, onde o solvente inclui água, até uma temperatura abaixo da temperatura crítica do solvente; estabelecer uma pressão que seja pelo menos igual à pressão de vapor saturada do solvente àquela temperatura; e manter a temperatura e a pressão por um período de tempo suficiente para desvulcanizar a borracha e produzir um produto reacional que esteja essencialmente em fase sólida e inclua hidrocarboneto de borracha.
