Más esécíficamente, la invencion se relaciona con un método para examinar plantas de soja que contienen uno o más loci de características cuantitativas por su resistencia a enfermedades, con especies de Glycine que presentan dichos loci y con métodos para la cría y el exámen de Glucine con dichos loci. La invencion se relaciona además con el uso de germoplasma exotico en un programa de cría.
