Abstract
Una batería que comprende: (a) un receptáculo que tiene un borne positivo y un borne negativo; (b) una celda de batería dispuesta dentro de dichoreceptáculo, dicha celda tiene un electrodo positivo, un electrodo negativo, una tension de la celda medida a través de dichos electrodos positivo ynegativo de dicha celda; (c) un controlador conectado eléctricamente entre dichos electrodos de dicha celda y dichos bornes de dicho receptáculo paraformar, a partir de la tension de celda, una tension de salida a través de dichos bornes positivo y negativo del receptáculo; y (d) un circuito queresponde a una condicion predeterminada de dicha batería, siendo el circuito operable para desconectar la tension de salida del controlador de los bornesdel receptáculo al detectar dicha condicion predeterminada. Un método para extender la vida util de una batería, que comprende los pasos de: )a)proporcionar una batería que incluye: (I) un receptáculo que tiene un borne positivo y un borne negativo; y (ii) una celda de batería dispuesta entre dichoreceptáculo, dicha celda tiene un electrodo positivo, un electrodo negativo, y una tension de celda medida a través de dichos electrodos positivo y negativo dedicha celda; (b) conectar eléctricamente un controlador entre dichos electrodos de dicha celda y dichos bornes de dicho receptáculo para formar, a partir dedicha tension de celda, una tension de salida a través de los bornes positivo y negativo del receptáculo; y (c) en respuesta a la deteccion de unacondicion predeterminada de la batería, desconectar la tension de salida del controlador de los bornes del receptáculo.
