本発明の有機メルカプト化合物又はその中間体の製造方法は、
硫黄原子を含むアルコール化合物と、
チオアミド基の少なくとも1つの結合手に有機基が結合した構造を備えるチオアミド化合物と、を酸性条件下で反応させる反応工程を有する。
これにより、副生成物の生成が抑制可能である。
ヘテロ原子は、例えば、窒素原子、酸素原子、硫黄原子等であってよい。
本発明のアルコール化合物は、硫黄原子を含む。
アルコール化合物は、例えば、スルフィド結合及び/又はメルカプト基を有してもよい。
アルコール化合物は、以下の一般式(1)で表される化合物であることが好ましい。
チオアミド化合物は、チオアミド基の少なくとも1つの結合手に有機基が結合した構造を備える。
位相幾何学的極性表面積は、分子表面のうち極性を帯びている部分の面積値であり、上記範囲であることにより、アルコール化合物との反応に優れるため、副生成物の生成を抑制することができる。
位相幾何学的極性表面積(「tPSA」ともいわれる。)は、例えば、ChemiDraw Professional(Version:16.0.1.4(77))により確認できる。
前記有機基としては、置換されてもよい炭素数6~10の1価のアリール基、置換されてもよい炭素数1~10の1価の脂肪族基、又は置換されてもよい炭素数3~10の1価のヘテロアリール基であることが好ましい。
有機基が有してもよい置換基は、ヘテロ原子を含んでいてもよく、例えばヒドロキシ基、カルボキシ基、アセチル基、ホルミル基、アルコキシル基、チオール基、アミノ基、ハロゲン原子等が挙げられる。
R2、R3は、それぞれ独立に、水素原子又は炭素数1~15の1価の有機基であることが好ましい。R2、R3における1価の有機基としては、窒素原子を有してもよい炭素数1~6の鎖状又は環状有機基が挙げられる。
R1、R2及びR3からなる群のうちのいずれか2つの基が互いに結合して炭素数3~10の複素環を形成してもよい。
R2及びR3が水素原子であるか、又はR2及びR3が互いに結合して炭素数3~10の含窒素複素環を形成することが好ましい。
本発明の有機メルカプト化合物又はその中間体の製造方法は、前述のアルコール化合物とチオアミド化合物とを酸性条件下で反応させる反応工程を有する。
本発明の製造方法において、該工程から直接的に有機メルカプト化合物又はその中間体を得てもよく、中間体からさらなる反応工程により有機メルカプト化合物を得てもよい。
有機メルカプト化合物の中間体のうち、例えば、後述のチオエステル、イソチオアミド又はその塩などを指す中間体としては、チオエステル、イソチオアミド又はその塩が挙げられる。例えば、イソチオアミドは一般式(3)で表すことができ、チオエステルは一般式(4)で表すことができる。

一般式(5)で表される有機メルカプト化合物としては、好ましくは、4-メルカプトメチル-1,8-ジメルカプト-3,6-ジチアオクタン(下記式(6))、1,5,9-トリメルカプト-3,7-ジチアノナン(下記式(13))、4,8-ジメルカプトメチル-1,11-ジメルカプト-3,6,9-トリチアウンデカン(下記式(7))、4,7-ジメルカプトメチル-1,11-ジメルカプト-3,6,9-トリチアウンデカン(下記式(8))、5,7-ジメルカプトメチル-1,11-ジメルカプト-3,6,9-トリチアウンデカン(下記式(9))、1,5,9,13-テトラメルカプト-3,7,11-トリチアトリデカン(下記式(10))、4-メルカプトメチル-1,8,12-トリメルカプト-3,6,10-トリチアドデカン(下記式(11))、および5-メルカプトメチル-1,8,12-トリメルカプト-3,6,10-トリチアドデカン(下記式(12))から選択される少なくとも1種の化合物を挙げることができる。
本発明の第1実施形態の製造方法は、上述の反応工程において、上述の一般式(1)で表されるアルコール化合物と、上述の一般式(2)で表されるチオアミド化合物とを酸性条件下で反応させて、下記一般式(3A)で表されるイソチオアミド又はその塩を経由して、中間体として下記一般式(4A)で表されるチオエステルを得る工程を含む。
一般式(4A)中、nは一般式(1)におけるものと同義であり、R1は一般式(2)におけるものと同義である。また、Q3Aは、一般式(1)におけるQ1と同義である。
本実施形態の有機メルカプト化合物の中間体であるチオエステル化合物の製造方法は、
下記一般式(1a)で表されるアルコール化合物と、下記一般式(2a)で表されるチオアミド化合物とを酸性条件下で反応させて、下記一般式(3a)で表されるイソチオアミド、またはその塩を経由して下記一般式(4a)で表されるチオエステル化合物を得る工程を含む。
一般式(1a)で表されるアルコール化合物と一般式(2a)で表されるチオアミド化合物とを酸性条件下で反応させることにより、副生成物の生成が抑制され、当該アルコール化合物からイソチオアミドまたはその塩を経由して、チオエステル化合物を選択的にかつ高収率で得ることができる。
一般式(1a)中、Q1aは、置換されてもよいC3以上C25以下のn1a価の脂肪族基、または置換されてもよいC3以上C25以下のn1a価の脂環族基を示す。前記脂肪族基および脂環族基は、少なくとも1つのスルフィド結合を含み、あるいは少なくとも1つのメルカプト基で置換される。前記脂肪族基および脂環族基は、硫黄原子、酸素原子または窒素原子を含んでもよい。なお、本明細書における一般式において示される「C3」、「C25」等の「C+数」で表される記号は、それぞれの炭素数を意味する。例えば、「C3」、「C25」はそれぞれ炭素数3、炭素数25を意味する。
n1aが2以上の整数の場合、式(1a)の水酸基はQ1aを構成する前記基の同一または異なる炭素原子と結合する。

R6aまたはR7aは、R1a、R2a、R3aを構成するRaと結合して環を形成することができ、R4a、R5aと結合して環を形成することもできる。
R6aまたはR7aにおける「C1以上C20以下の脂肪族基、C3以上C20以下の脂環族基、C6以上C20以下の芳香族有機基」は上記のR1a、R2a、R3a、R4a、R5a、Raにおける基と同義である。
一般式(3a)中、n1aは一般式(1a)と同義であり、A1a、R2A、R3Aは一般式(2a)と同義である。
Q2aは、一般式(1a)のQ1aと同義である。ただし、Q2aにおいて、前記脂肪族基および脂環族基が少なくとも1つのスルフィド結合を含む場合、式(3a)において示される-S-C(=NR2AR3A)-A1a基に対してβ位の炭素原子に硫黄原子が結合し、前記脂肪族基および脂環族基が少なくとも1つのメルカプト基を含む場合、式(3a)において示される-S-C(=NR2AR3A)-A1a基に対してβ位の炭素原子にメルカプト基が結合する。なお、何れの場合にも、β位の炭素原子以外の炭素原子に硫黄原子が結合していてもよく、メルカプト基が結合していてもよい。

R4aまたはR5aは、R1a’、R2a’、R3a’を構成するRaと結合して環を形成することができる。
本実施形態においては、アルコール化合物とチオアミド化合物とを酸性条件下で反応させ、上記の構造を備えるイソチオアミドまたはその塩を経由することにより、選択的に一般式(4a)で表されるチオエステル化合物を得ることができる。
酸性条件下で反応を行う際に用いられる酸としては、塩酸、硫酸、リン酸、酢酸、プロピオン酸、クエン酸等があげられ、これらは単独で用いても2種以上を混合して用いてもよい。
反応溶媒としては、トルエン、キシレン、クロロベンゼン、ジクロロベンゼン、ニトロベンゼン等の芳香族系溶媒類、ジクロロメタン、クロロホルム、ジクロロエタン等の脂肪族系溶媒類、極性溶媒が用いられ、極性溶媒としては、メタノール、エタノール、プロパノール、イソプロピルアルコール、ブタノール、メトキシエタノール、エチレングリコール、グリセリンなどのアルコール類、水等のプロトン性極性溶媒、N-メチルピロリドン、N,N-ジメチルホルムアミド、N,N-ジメチルアセトアミド、ジメチルスルホキシド、ヘキサメチルホスホニルアミドなどの非プロトン性極性溶媒等が用いられる。これらは単独で用いても、2種以上を混合して用いてもよい。
本実施形態においては、極性溶媒を用いることが好ましく、プロトン性極性溶媒を用いることがより好ましく、水を含む溶媒を用いることが特に好ましい。上記反応溶媒を選択することで、チオエステルを効率的に製造することができる。
圧力は、特に限定されないが、大気圧下または、溶媒の種類に応じて加圧下、減圧下で行うことができる。
一般式(4a)中、n1aは一般式(1a)と同義であり、A1aは一般式(2a)と同義である。
Q3aは、一般式(1a)のQ1aと同義である。
ただし、Q3aにおいて、前記脂肪族基および脂環族基が少なくとも1つのスルフィド結合を含む場合、式(4a)において示される-SC(=O)-A1a基に対してβ位の炭素原子に硫黄原子が結合し、前記脂肪族基および脂環族基が少なくとも1つのメルカプト基を含む場合、式(4a)において示される-SC(=O)-A1a基に対してβ位の炭素原子にメルカプト基が結合する。なお、何れの場合にも、β位の炭素原子以外の炭素原子に硫黄原子が結合していてもよく、メルカプト基が結合していてもよい。

本実施形態の有機メルカプト化合物の中間体であるチオエステル化合物の製造方法は、
一般式(1b)で表されるアルコール化合物と、下記一般式(2b)で表されるチオアミド化合物とを酸性条件下、反応温度50℃以上で反応させて、一般式(3b)で表されるイソチオアミドまたはその塩を経由して一般式(4b)で表されるチオエステル化合物を得る、工程を含む。
以下、第1a実施形態と同一の工程および成分や製造条件については適宜説明を省略する。
一般式(1b)中、Q1b、n 1bは一般式(1a)のQ1a、n1aと同義である。
NH2-C(=S)-A1b (2b)
一般式(2b)中、A1bは、置換されてもよいフェニル基、置換されてもよいビフェニル基、置換されてもよいナフチル基、置換されてもよいアントリル基、置換されてもよいフェナントリル基、または置換されてもよいチオフェニル基を示す。
フェニル基、ビフェニル基、ナフチル基、アントリル基、フェナントリル基、またはチオフェニル基が置換される場合、置換基としては、ヒドロキシ基、C1以上C10以下のアルコキシ基、アミノ基、メルカプト基、およびスルフィド基等を挙げることができる。
また複数の置換基同士が結合して環を形成していてもよい。

塩基性条件下で前記イソチオアミドニウムから有機メルカプト化合物を得る工程と、有する。
工程a:一般式(1c)で表されるアルコール化合物と、一般式(2c)で表されるチオアミド化合物とを酸性条件下で反応させて、酸解離定数pKaが4以上である一般式(3c)で表されるイソチオアミドニウムを得る。
工程b:塩基性条件下で前記イソチオアミドニウムから一般式(5c)で表される有機メルカプト化合物を得る。
本工程においては、下記一般式(1c)で表されるアルコール化合物と、下記一般式(2c)で表されるチオアミド化合物とを酸性条件下で反応させて、下記一般式(3c)で表されるイソチオアミドニウムを得る。
一般式(1c)中、Q1c、n1cは、一般式(1a)のQ1a、n1aと同義である。
一般式(2c)中、A1cは、置換されたフェニル基、置換されたビフェニル基、置換されたナフチル基、置換されたアントリル基、置換されたフェナントリル基、またはチエニル基を示す。

酸性条件下で反応を行う際に用いられる酸としては、塩酸、硫酸、リン酸、酢酸、プロピオン酸、クエン酸等があげられ、これらは単独で用いても2種以上を混合して用いてもよい。
本実施形態においては、極性溶媒を用いることが好ましく、プロトン性極性溶媒を用いることがより好ましく、水を含む溶媒を用いることが特に好ましい。上記反応溶媒を選択することで、イソチオアミドニウムを効率的に製造することができる。
圧力は、特に限定されないが、大気圧下、または溶媒の種類に応じて加圧下、減圧下で行うことができる。
本工程においては、塩基性条件下で、一般式(3c)で表されるイソチオアミドニウムから下記一般式(5c)で表される有機メルカプト化合物を得る。

本発明の第3実施形態の製造方法は、上述の一般式(1)で表されるアルコール化合物と、上述の一般式(2)で表されるチオアミド化合物とを酸性条件下で反応させて、該反応条件下で有機メルカプト化合物を得る工程を有する。
すなわち、第3実施形態における本工程においては、アルコール化合物とチオアミド化合物の反応条件から改めて条件を変更せずとも有機メルカプト化合物が合成される反応が進行する。
工程:一般式(1d)で表されるアルコール化合物と、一般式(2d)で表されるチオアミド化合物とを酸性条件下で反応させて、一般式(5d)で表される有機メルカプト化合物を得る。
一般式(1d)中、Q1d、n1dは、一般式(1a)のQ1a、n1aと同義である。ただし、Q1dにおいて、前記脂肪族基および脂環族基が少なくとも1つのスルフィド結合を含む場合、式(1d)において示される水酸基に対してβ位の炭素原子に硫黄原子が結合し、前記脂肪族基および脂環族基が少なくとも1つのメルカプト基を含む場合、式(1d)において示される水酸基に対してβ位の炭素原子にメルカプト基が結合する。なお、何れの場合においても、β位の炭素原子以外の炭素原子に硫黄原子が結合していてもよく、メルカプト基が結合していてもよい。
(一般式(2d)中、A1dは、置換されてもよいフェニル基、置換されてもよいビフェニル基、置換されてもよいナフチル基、置換されてもよいアントリル基、置換されてもよいフェナントリル基を示す。
置換されたこれらの基において、チオアミド基(-C(=S)NH2)に対してβ位およびδ位の炭素原子には、水素原子、置換されてもよいC1以上C20以下の脂肪族基、置換されてもよいC3以上C20以下の脂環族基、および置換されてもよいC6以上C20以下の芳香族有機基から選択される置換基が結合している。置換されたこれらの基において、複数の置換基同士が結合して環を形成していてもよい。

上述の実施形態の製造方法により、本実施形態の(ポリ)チオール成分を得ることできる。
本実施形態の(ポリ)チオール成分は、チオ尿素、尿素、シアナミド、ジシアンジアミド、グアニジン、トリアジン骨格を有する化合物、またはイソチウロニウム基を有する化合物からを含まないか、含む場合でも(ポリ)チオール成分に対して1ppm未満である。
また、本実施形態の(ポリ)チオール成分は、少なくとも1種以上の金属(金属酸化物を含む)を含まないか、含む場合でも少なくとも1種以上の金属の含有量が(ポリ)チオール成分に対して1ppm未満であることが好ましい。特に、本実施形態の(ポリ)チオール成分は、金属(金属酸化物を含む)のうち、トリウム、ジルコニウム、チタン、アルミニウム、コバルト、モリブデン、またはリチウムも含まなくてもよい方が好ましく、含む場合でも(ポリ)チオール成分に対して1ppm未満であることが好ましい。特に、金属のうち、トリウム、ジルコニウム、チタン、アルミニウム、コバルト、モリブデン、及びリチウムをすべて含まないか、含む場合でもそれぞれの含有量が(ポリ)チオール成分に対して1ppm未満であることが好ましい。なお、本発明において、「(ポリ)チオール成分」とは、メルカプト基を1つ以上有する化合物そのものか、該化合物を2種類以上含むもの(つまり、組成物)か、該化合物(1種類以上)と該化合物以外の成分(化合物を製造した際に製造される副生成物など)との混合物(つまり、組成物)を指す。
なお、本明細書において、「(ポリ)チオール成分に対して1ppm未満」とは、質量比基準で1ppm未満であることを意味する。

本実施形態においては、クロロ化の塩素化剤は特に限定はされないが、塩化水素、塩酸、塩化チオニル、塩化スルフリル、3塩化リン、5塩化リン、リン酸トリクロリド、塩化オキサリル、四塩化炭素等が用いられ、好ましくは塩化水素、塩酸、塩化チオニルである。

工程bにおいては、クロル化された前記化合物(以下、有機クロロ化合物)をpKaが4以上である1種または2種以上の塩基化合物の存在下で硫化水素と反応させる。
本実施形態においては、pKaが4以上である1種または2種以上の塩基化合物の存在下で、前記有機クロロ化合物を、硫化水素と反応させる。
金属炭酸塩としては、炭酸ナトリウム、炭酸カリウム、炭酸カルシウム等があげられる。
金属炭酸水素塩としては、炭酸水素ナトリウム(7.7)、炭酸水素カルシウム等があげられる。
一般式(a)中、Mは、アルカリ金属またはアルカリ土類金属を表し、好ましくはリチウム、ナトリウム、カリウム等のアルカリ金属であり、より好ましくはナトリウムである。Qは、酸素原子または硫黄原子を表す。nは、Mで表されるアルカリ金属またはアルカリ土類金属の価数を表す。
本工程は、反応溶媒中で行うことができる。
反応時間は、特に限定されないが、例えば、10分以上100時間以下であってもよい。
(a)有機クロロ化合物、溶媒および塩基化合物を一括装入後、反応液中に硫化水素を添加
(b)有機クロロ化合物および溶媒を装入後、塩基化合物を滴下装入または一括装入と同時に反応液中に硫化水素を添加

さらに、必要に応じて、得られた(ポリ)チオール成分を公知方法で精製することもできる。
本実施形態においては、有機メルカプト化合物の製造工程を含む、ポリチオウレタン樹脂の製造方法を以下に説明する
本実施形態のポリチオウレタン樹脂の製造方法は以下の工程を含む。
工程1:上述の方法で有機メルカプト化合物を得る。
工程2:有機メルカプト化合物とポリ(チオ)イソシアネート化合物とを反応させる。
工程1は、上述の実施形態の工程であるので、説明を省略する。
本実施形態においては、有機メルカプト化合物およびポリ(チオ)イソシアネート化合物を含む、重合性組成物として用いられる。
これらのポリイソ(チオ)シアネート化合物としては、WO2011/055540号に例示された化合物を挙げることができる。
ビス(イソシアナトメチル)ベンゼン、m-キシリレンジイソシアネート、1,3-ジイソシアナトベンゼン、トリレンジイソシアネート、2,4-ジイソシアナトトルエン、2,6-ジイソシアナトトルエン、4,4'-メチレンビス(フェニルイソシアネート)等の芳香環化合物を有するポリイソシアネート化合物を挙げることができる。

[実施例A1]
100mLの4つ口フラスコに、3-チア-1-ペンタノール20.28 g (191 mmol)とチオアセトアミド(位相幾何学的極性表面積:26・02Å2) 14.35 g (191 mmol)と35%塩酸26.56 g(255 mmol)を装入し、100℃で2.5時間加熱した。分析方法A1で分析した結果、1-アセチルチオ-2-(エチルチオ)エタンが収率67%で生成した。3-チア-1-ペンタノールが2%残存していた。チオ尿素、尿素、シアナミド、ジシアンジアミド、グアニジン、トリアジン骨格を有する化合物、イソチウロニウム基を有する化合物は1ppm未満であった。アルミニウム、コバルト、モリブデン、またはリチウムは分析方法A2にて分析した結果、1ppm未満であった。
1-アセチルチオ-2-(エチルチオ)エタンの構造解析結果は以下のとおり。

100mLの4つ口フラスコに、3-チア-1-ペンタノール 20.28 g (191 mmol)とチオベンズアミド(位相幾何学的極性表面積:26・02Å2)52.41 g (382 mmol)と35%塩酸119.4 g(1156 mmol)を装入し、30℃で6時間加熱後に70℃で6時間加熱した。分析方法A1で分析した結果、1-(ベンゾイルチオ)-2-(エチルチオ)エタンが収率80%で生成した。3-チア-1-ペンタノールが残存しておらず、2-(エチルチオ)エタンチオールは収率9%で生成していた。チオ尿素、尿素、シアナミド、ジシアンジアミド、グアニジン、トリアジン骨格を有する化合物、イソチウロニウム基を有する化合物は1ppm未満であった。アルミニウム、コバルト、モリブデン、またはリチウムは分析方法A2にて分析した結果、1ppm未満であった。
100mLの4つ口フラスコに、3-チア-1-ペンタノール 1.02 g (9.61 mmol)とチオイソニコチンアミド(位相幾何学的極性表面積:38.38Å2)2.00 g (14.5 mmol)と35%塩酸8.33 g(80.0 mmol)を装入し、30℃で30時間撹拌した。分析方法A1で分析した結果、1-(イソニコチノイルチオ)-2-(エチルチオ)エタンが収率80%生成した。3-チア-1-ペンタノールは2%残存しており、2-(エチルチオ)エタンチオールは収率2%生成していた。チオ尿素、尿素、シアナミド、ジシアンジアミド、グアニジン、トリアジン骨格を有する化合物、イソチウロニウム基を有する化合物は1ppm未満であった。アルミニウム、コバルト、モリブデン、またはリチウムは分析方法A2にて分析した結果、1ppm未満であった。

200mLの4つ口フラスコに、3-チア-1-ペンタノール20.28 g (191 mmol)とチオアセトアミド(位相幾何学的極性表面積:26・02Å2) 28.70 g (382 mmol)と20%硫酸140.5 g(287 mmol)を装入し、30℃で48時間加熱した。分析方法A1で分析した結果、1-アセチルチオ-2-(エチルチオ)エタンが収率9%で生成した。チオ尿素、尿素、シアナミド、ジシアンジアミド、グアニジン、トリアジン骨格を有する化合物、イソチウロニウム基を有する化合物は1ppm未満であった。アルミニウム、コバルト、モリブデン、またはリチウムは分析方法A2にて分析した結果、1ppm未満であった。
[実施例A6]

予め2-エチルチオエタンチオールの標準物質を用意し、上記の試料調製後HPLC分析を行い、2-エチルチオエタンチオールの保持時間と内部標準物質との感度比を定めておいた。反応液の分析では、上記の試料調製後HPLC分析を行い、保持時間が同一であることから2-エチルチオエタンチオールであると同定し、内部標準物質との感度比を用いて2-エチルチオエタンチオールの濃度を求めた。
4-メルカプトメチル-1,8-ジメルカプト-3,6-ジチアオクタンの同定及び反応液中の濃度も、同様に測定した。

JIS K0070に準拠して、電位差自動滴定装置(京都電子工業社製 AT-610)を用いて0.1mol/L水酸化ナトリウム水溶液で中和滴定を行い、第一当量点の滴定量より塩酸の当量点を測定し、次に、第二当量点の滴定量よりイソチオアミドニウムの当量点を測定した。第一当量点と第二当量点の中間滴定量の時のpHをイソチオアミドニウムのpKaと特定した。
[実施例B1]
100mlの4つ口フラスコに、2-(エチルチオ)エタノールと、4-メトキシチオベンズアミド(位相幾何学的極性表面積:35.25Å2)を1.5当量と、35%塩酸を7当量とを装入し、50℃で10時間加熱した。反応液中のイソチオアミドニウム(S-(エチルチオエチル)-4-メトキシイソチオベンズアミドニウム)のpKaを測定したところ、4.6であった。これに30% NaOHを7当量装入し、30℃で1時間撹拌した。
得られた反応液を、分析方法B1にて分析した結果、目的物である2-(エチルチオ)エタンチオールを3.4重量%含有していた(収率57%)。2-(エチルチオ)エタノールは含有していなかった。チオ尿素、尿素、シアナミド、ジシアンジアミド、グアニジン、トリアジン骨格を有する化合物、イソチウロニウム基を有する化合物は1ppm未満であった。アルミニウム、コバルト、モリブデン、またはリチウムは分析方法B3にて分析した結果、1ppm未満であった。
100mlの4つ口フラスコに、2-(エチルチオ)エタノールと、2-ヒドロキシチオベンズアミド(位相幾何学的極性表面積:46.25Å2)を1.5当量と、35%塩酸7.5当量とを装入し、30℃で48時間撹拌した。反応液を分析方法B2にて分析した結果、S-(エチルチオエチル)-2-ヒドロキシイソチオベンズアミドニウム(LC-MS(ESI+):m/z=242)であることを確認した(pKa=4.6)。これに30% NaOHを7.5当量装入し、30℃で1時間撹拌した。
得られた反応液を分析方法B1にて分析した結果、2-(エチルチオ)エタンチオールを10.5重量%含有していた(収率93%)。2-(エチルチオ)エタノールは含有していなかった。チオ尿素、尿素、シアナミド、ジシアンジアミド、グアニジン、トリアジン骨格を有する化合物、イソチウロニウム基を有する化合物は1ppm未満であった。アルミニウム、コバルト、モリブデン、またはリチウムは分析方法B3にて分析した結果、1ppm未満であった。
100mlの4つ口フラスコに、2-(エチルチオ)エタノールと4-ヒドロキシチオベンズアミド(位相幾何学的極性表面積:46.25Å2)を1当量と35%塩酸18.5当量を装入し、60℃で11時間加熱した。下記(1)~(4)の分析結果より、反応液中にS-(エチルチオエチル)-2-ヒドロキシイソチオベンズアミドニウム(pKa=5.3)が含まれるのを確認した。

[実施例B5]
100mlの4つ口フラスコに、3,7-ジチア-1,5,9-ノナントリオールと2-ヒドロキシチオベンズアミド(位相幾何学的極性表面積:46.25Å2)を1.5当量と35%塩酸7.6当量を装入し、30℃8時間撹拌後70℃で3時間撹拌しその後100℃で5時間撹拌した。これに30% NaOHを7.6当量装入し、60℃で4時間撹拌後、100℃で1時間撹拌した。反応液のpKaを測定したところ、4.6であった。得られた反応液を分析方法B1にて分析した結果、4-メルカプトメチル-1,8-ジメルカプト-3,6-ジチアオクタンを2.20重量%含有していた(収率55%)。3,7-ジチア-1,5,9-ノナントリオールは含有していなかった。チオ尿素、尿素、シアナミド、ジシアンジアミド、グアニジン、トリアジン骨格を有する化合物、イソチウロニウム基を有する化合物は1ppm未満であった。アルミニウム、コバルト、モリブデン、またはリチウムは分析方法B3にて分析した結果、1ppm未満であった。

チオ尿素、尿素、シアナミド、ジシアンジアミド、グアニジン、トリアジン骨格を有する化合物、イソチウロニウム基を有する化合物は1ppm未満であった。アルミニウム、コバルト、モリブデン、またはリチウムは分析方法C2にて分析した結果、1ppm未満であった。
100mlの4つ口フラスコに、2-(エチルチオ)エタノールと、3-ヒドロキシチオベンズアミド(位相幾何学的極性表面積:46.25Å2)を1.5当量と、35%塩酸を7.6当量とを装入し、30℃で72時間加熱した。得られた反応液を、分析方法C1にて分析した結果、目的物である2-(エチルチオ)エタンチオールの収率は41%であった。2-(エチルチオ)エタノールは残存していなかった。また、3-ヒドロキシベンゾニトリルは40%の収率で生成しており、3-ヒドロキシチオベンズアミドは14%残存していた。

[実施例D1]
100mlの4つ口フラスコに、3,7-ジチア-1,5,9-ノナントリオールと2-ヒドロキシチオベンズアミド(位相幾何学的極性表面積:46.25Å2)を1.5当量と35%塩酸7.6当量を装入し、30℃8時間撹拌後70℃で3時間撹拌しその後100℃で5時間撹拌した。これに30% NaOHを7.6当量装入し、60℃で4時間撹拌後、100℃で1時間撹拌した。反応液のpKaを測定したところ、4.6であった。得られた反応液を分析方法D1にて分析した結果、4-メルカプトメチル-1,8-ジメルカプト-3,6-ジチアオクタンを2.20重量%含有していた(収率55%)。3,7-ジチア-1,5,9-ノナントリオールは含有していなかった。チオ尿素、尿素、シアナミド、ジシアンジアミド、グアニジン、トリアジン骨格を有する化合物、イソチウロニウム基を有する化合物は1ppm未満であった。アルミニウム、コバルト、モリブデン、またはリチウムは分析方法D3にて分析した結果、1ppm未満であった。
300mLの4口フラスコに、54%の3,7-ジチア-1,5,9-ノナントリオール水溶液を55.56重量部装入し、塩化水素ガスをガラス管を通して飽和するまで吹き込み続けた。そのまま90℃で7時間撹拌した。室温まで冷却した後、水を100重量部、ジクロロメタンを100重量部装入し、抽出を行った。硫酸マグネシウムで乾燥した後、エバポレーターでジクロロメタンを除去し、薄黄色オイルを36.5重量部得た(収率96.5%)。得られたオイルは、1,5,9-トリクロロ-3,7-ジチアノナンおよび4-クロロメチル-1,8-ジクロロ-3,6-ジチアオクタンの混合物であり、1H-NMRより組成比は1,5,9-トリクロロ-3,7-ジチアノナン:4-クロロメチル-1,8-ジクロロ-3,6-ジチアオクタン=85:15であった。
25mLの2口フラスコに、蒸留水10mL、炭酸水素ナトリウムを1.13(13.5mmol)重量部装入し、10min撹拌し、炭酸水素ナトリウムを溶解させた。得られた上述の混合物を1.0重量部(3.7mmol)装入し、液相部に硫化水素ガスを0.15g/minで0.5時間吹き込みながら内温90℃で撹拌した。液相部に窒素ガスを1時間吹込み、硫化水素ガスを追い出した。得られた反応液を上記分析方法D1にて測定した結果、4-メルカプトメチル-1,8-ジメルカプト-3,6-ジチアオクタンを8area%、原料を70area%含有していた。クロロホルム10mLを加え、抽出後、硫酸マグネシウムで乾燥した。硫酸マグネシウムを濾過後、溶媒を留去し、4-メルカプトメチル-1,8-ジメルカプト-3,6-ジチアオクタンを0.9重量部(収率92.5%)得た。チオ尿素、尿素、シアナミド、ジシアンジアミド、グアニジン、トリアジン骨格を有する化合物、イソチウロニウム基を有する化合物は1ppm未満であった。アルミニウム、コバルト、モリブデン、またはリチウムは分析方法D3にて分析した結果、1ppm未満であった。

300mLの4口フラスコに、54%の3,7-ジチア-1,5,9-ノナントリオール水溶液を55.56重量部装入し、塩化水素ガスをガラス管を通して飽和するまで吹き込み続けた。そのまま90℃で7時間撹拌した。室温まで冷却した後、水を100重量部、ジクロロメタンを100重量部装入し、抽出を行った。硫酸マグネシウムで乾燥した後、エバポレーターでジクロロメタンを除去し、薄黄色オイルを36.5重量部得た(収率96.5%)。得られたオイルは、1,5,9-トリクロロ-3,7-ジチアノナンおよび4-クロロメチル-1,8-ジクロロ-3,6-ジチアオクタンの混合物であり、1H-NMRより組成比は1,5,9-トリクロロ-3,7-ジチアノナン:4-クロロメチル-1,8-ジクロロ-3,6-ジチアオクタン=85:15であった。
25mLの2口フラスコに、メタノール5mL、28%ナトリウムメトキシドを13(67.3mmol)重量部装入し、続けて得られた上述の混合物を0.5重量部(1.9mmol)装入した。液相部に硫化水素ガスを0.15g/minで1時間吹き込みながら内温20℃で撹拌した。液相部に窒素ガスを1時間吹込み、硫化水素ガスを追い出した。得られた反応液を上記分析方法D1にて測定した結果、4-メルカプトメチル-1,8-ジメルカプト-3,6-ジチアオクタンを11area%、原料を0area%含有していた。クロロホルム10mLを加え、抽出後、硫酸マグネシウムで乾燥した。硫酸マグネシウムを濾過後、溶媒を留去し、4-メルカプトメチル-1,8-ジメルカプト-3,6-ジチアオクタンを0.18重量部(収率37.0%)得た。チオ尿素、尿素、シアナミド、ジシアンジアミド、グアニジン、トリアジン骨格を有する化合物、イソチウロニウム基を有する化合物は1ppm未満であった。アルミニウム、コバルト、モリブデン、またはリチウムは分析方法D3にて分析した結果、1ppm未満であった。

20mLのオートクレーブに、水5.5mL、45%NaOH水溶液を0.56(4.5mmol)重量部装入し、続けて得られた上述の混合物を0.4重量部(1.5mmol)装入した。120℃で3時間加圧(3気圧)反応を行った。十分に冷却した後、得られた反応液を上記分析方法D1にて測定した結果、4-メルカプトメチル-1,8-ジメルカプト-3,6-ジチアオクタンを3area%、原料を0area%含有していた。クロロホルム10mLを加え、抽出後、硫酸マグネシウムで乾燥した。硫酸マグネシウムを濾過後、溶媒を留去し、4-メルカプトメチル-1,8-ジメルカプト-3,6-ジチアオクタンを0.11重量部(収率28.2%)得た。チオ尿素、尿素、シアナミド、ジシアンジアミド、グアニジン、トリアジン骨格を有する化合物、イソチウロニウム基を有する化合物は1ppm未満であった。アルミニウム、コバルト、モリブデン、またはリチウムは分析方法D3にて分析した結果、1ppm未満であった。
反応器内に、2-メルカプトエタノール124.6重量部、脱気水(溶存酸素濃度2ppm)18.3重量部を装入した。12~35℃にて、32重量%の水酸化ナトリウム水溶液101.5重量部を40分かけて滴下装入した後、エピクロルヒドリン73.6重量部を29~36℃にて4.5時間かけて滴下装入し、引き続き40分撹拌を行った。NMRデータから、1,3-ビス(2-ヒドロキシエチルチオ)-2-プロパノールの生成を確認した。
35.5%の塩酸331.5重量部を装入し、次に、純度99.90%のチオ尿素(位相幾何学的極性表面積:52・04Å2)183.8重量部を装入し、110℃還流下にて3時間撹拌して、チウロニウム塩化反応を行った。45℃まで冷却した後、トルエン320.5重量部を加え、31℃まで冷却し、25重量%のアンモニア水溶液243.1重量部を31~41℃で44分掛けて装入し、54~62℃で3時間撹拌を行い、4-メルカプトメチル-1,8-ジメルカプト-3,6-ジチアオクタンを主成分とするポリチオール組成物のトルエン溶液を得た。該トルエン溶液に、35.5%塩酸162.8重量部添加し、35~43℃で1時間酸洗浄した。脱気水(溶存酸素濃度2ppm)174.1重量部を添加し35~45℃で30分洗浄を2回実施した。0.1%アンモニア水162.1重量部を加え、30分洗浄した。脱気水174.2重量部を添加し35~45℃で30分洗浄を2回実施した。加熱減圧下でトルエン及び微量の水分を除去後、1.2μmのPTFEタイプメンブランフィルターで減圧濾過して4-メルカプトメチル-1,8-ジメルカプト-3,6-ジチアオクタンを主成分とするポリチオール組成物205.0重量部を得た。該ポリチオール組成物について、分析方法D1にて分析を行った結果、トリアジン骨格を有する化合物が4-メルカプトメチル-1,8-ジメルカプト-3,6-ジチアオクタンに対して2100ppm含まれていることが確認された。
Claims (20)
- 硫黄原子を含むアルコール化合物と、
チオアミド基の少なくとも1つの結合手に有機基が結合した構造を備えるチオアミド化合物と、を酸性条件下で反応させる反応工程を有する、有機メルカプト化合物又はその中間体の製造方法。 - 前記チオアミド化合物の位相幾何学的極性表面積が、10.00~51.00Å2である、請求項1に記載の有機メルカプト化合物又はその中間体の製造方法。
- 前記一般式(2)で表される化合物において、R1が置換されてもよい炭素数6~10の1価のアリール基、置換されてもよい炭素数1~10の1価の脂肪族基、又は置換されてもよい炭素数3~10の1価のヘテロアリール基であり、これらの基の置換基はヘテロ原子を含んでいてもよい。R2及びR3が水素原子であるか、又はR2及びR3が互いに結合して炭素数3~10の含窒素複素環を形成する、請求項3に記載の有機メルカプト化合物又はその中間体の製造方法。
- 前記アルコール化合物が、以下の一般式(1)で表される化合物であり
前記反応工程は、
一般式(1)で表される前記アルコール化合物と、一般式(2)で表される前記チオアミド化合物とを酸性条件下で反応させて、下記一般式(3A)で表されるイソチオアミド化合物又はその塩を経由して、中間体として下記一般式(4A)で表されるチオエステルを得る工程を含む、請求項3又は4に記載の有機メルカプト化合物又はその中間体の製造方法。
Q3A(SC(=O)-R1)n (4A)
(一般式(4A)中、nは一般式(1)におけるものと同義であり、R1は一般式(2)におけるものと同義である。Q3Aは、一般式(1)におけるQ1と同義である。) - 前記有機メルカプト化合物又はその中間体を得る工程は、前記一般式(3A)で表されるイソチオアミドの塩を経由して、前記チオエステルを得る工程であり、
前記イソチオアミドの塩の酸解離定数pKaが4未満であり、一般式(2)中のR1およびR2の少なくとも一方が水素原子である、請求項6に記載の有機メルカプト化合物又はその中間体の製造方法。 - 前記アルコール化合物が、以下の一般式(1)で表される化合物であり、
前記反応工程は、
一般式(1)で表される前記アルコール化合物と、一般式(2)で表される前記チオアミド化合物とを酸性条件下で反応させて、中間体として下記一般式(3B)で表されるイソチオアミドニウムを得る工程と、
塩基性条件下で前記イソチオアミドニウムから有機メルカプト化合物を得る工程と、を有する、請求項3又は4に記載の有機メルカプト化合物又はその中間体の製造方法。
- 前記イソチオアミドニウムの酸解離定数pKaが4以上14以下である、請求項8に記載の有機メルカプト化合物又はその中間体の製造方法。
- 前記アルコール化合物と前記チオアミド化合物との反応条件下で、有機メルカプト化合物を得る工程を有する、請求項1~5のいずれかに記載の有機メルカプト化合物又はその中間体の製造方法。
- 請求項1~10のいずれかに記載の有機メルカプト化合物の製造方法により有機メルカプト化合物を得る工程、又は、請求項1~9のいずれかに記載の方法により得られた有機メルカプト化合物の中間体から有機メルカプト化合物を得る工程と、
得られた有機メルカプト化合物と、イソ(チオ)シアネート化合物とを混合し、重合性組成物を調製する工程と、
当該重合性組成物をモールド内に注入硬化させる工程と、を含む成形体の製造方法。 - (ポリ)チオール成分であって、
チオ尿素、尿素、シアナミド、ジシアンジアミド、グアニジン、トリアジン骨格を有する化合物、またはイソチウロニウム基を有する化合物を含まないか、含む場合でも1ppm未満である、(ポリ)チオール成分。 - トリアジン骨格を有する化合物を含まないか、含む場合でも1ppm未満である、請求項12に記載の(ポリ)チオール成分。
- 4-メルカプトメチル-1,8-ジメルカプト-3,6-ジチアオクタン、1,5,9-トリメルカプト-3,7-ジチアノナン、4,8または4,7または5,7-ジメルカプトメチル-1,11-ジメルカプト-3,6,9-トリチアウンデカン、1,5,9,13-テトラメルカプト-3,7,11-トリチアトリデカン、および4または5-メルカプトメチル-1,8,12-トリメルカプト-3,6,10-トリチアドデカンから選択される少なくとも1種の化合物を含む、請求項11又は12に記載の(ポリ)チオール成分。
- トリウム、ジルコニウム、チタン、アルミニウム、コバルト、モリブデン、及びリチウムをすべて含まないか、含む場合でもそれぞれの含有量が(ポリ)チオール成分に対して1ppm未満である、請求項12~14のいずれかに記載の(ポリ)チオール成分。
- 請求項12~15のいずれかに記載の(ポリ)チオール成分とポリ(チオ)イソシアネート化合物とを含有する光学材料用重合性組成物。
- 請求項17に記載の光学材料用重合性組成物を硬化させて得られる成形体。
- 請求項18に記載の成形体からなる光学材料。
- 請求項18に記載の成形体からなるレンズ。
