Definitions
- the present invention relates to a Nb 3 Sn superconducting wire, and more particularly to a method for producing a Nb 3 Sn superconducting wire using an internal tin method.
- the present invention also relates to the Nb 3 Sn superconducting wire used in the method for manufacturing a precursor for a preferred Nb 3 Sn superconducting wires and Nb 3 Sn superconducting wire using the same.
- Nb 3 Sn (Niobium 3 Tin) is an intermetallic compound of niobium (Nb) and tin (Sn) that is processed into a wire and is used as a superconducting magnet for nuclear fusion and nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) devices. Etc. are used. Nb 3 Sn is more expensive than niobium titanium (NbTi), but from the viewpoint of the critical magnetic field Hc, NbTi is about 15T, whereas Nb 3 Sn has a high magnetic field strength of about 30T.
- the critical temperature of Nb 3 Sn is 18.3 Kelvin (K), and is usually used at 4.2 K, that is, the boiling point of liquid helium.
- Nb 3 Sn as a superconducting wire is very brittle, and a wire necessary for winding a superconducting magnet cannot be easily produced.
- wire manufacturers typically reduce diameters with composite wires that include a ductile precursor.
- the internal tin method includes separate alloys of Nb, Cu and Sn.
- Nb is contained in a bronze matrix of copper and tin.
- the wire is typically reduced to a final wire diameter and wound around a solenoid or cable before heat treatment. That is, Nb reacts with Sn to form a brittle superconducting niobium tritin compound only during heat treatment.
- Patent Document 1 discloses a wire material manufacturing technique by a so-called bronze method using a Cu—Sn—Zn base material and an Nb alloy core.

- the solid solution ratio of Sn to the base material is limited to 15.5% by mass or less due to the processing of the wire, and the Nb 3 Sn volume is increased, that is, the critical current density per wire cross section is increased. There was a problem that it was difficult.
- the bronze method has a problem that a large work hardening of the Cu—Sn alloy occurs during the wire drawing process, so that intermediate annealing is essential, which increases the manufacturing cost.
- the internal tin method does not use Cu-Sn bronze, but consists of a Cu alloy base material in which elements other than pure Cu or Sn are dissolved, and a large number of Nb cores and Sn cores embedded therein.
- a Cu alloy and Sn are reacted by heat treatment to once generate a Cu—Sn phase, and then the generated Cu—Sn phase and Nb are diffused to generate an Nb 3 Sn phase.

Description

Cu-xZn-yGe(x:0.1~40質量%、y:0.1~12質量%)、

Cu-xZn-yGe(x:0.1~40質量%、y:0.1~12質量%)、

Cu-xZn-yGe(x:0.1~40質量%、y:0.1~12質量%)、
Cu-xZn-yGa(x:0.1~40質量%、y:0.1~21質量%)、

Cu-xZn-yGe(x:0.1~40質量%、y:0.1~12質量%)、

EPMA(Electron Probe Micro Analyzer)は、電子線マイクロアナライザとも呼ばれる。
