Definitions
- the present invention relates to a zinc oxide powder, a dispersion, and a cosmetic.
- This application claims priority based on Japanese Patent Application No. 2016-118020 filed in Japan on June 14, 2016, the contents of which are incorporated herein by reference.
- Zinc oxide powder has an ultraviolet shielding function, a gas permeation suppression function, and the like, and has high transparency, so it is used for applications that require transparency, such as an ultraviolet shielding film, an ultraviolet shielding glass, cosmetics, and a gas barrier film. (For example, see Patent Documents 1 to 7).
- the present invention has been made in view of the above circumstances, and provides a zinc oxide powder capable of shortening the time for solidification of sebum, and a dispersion containing the zinc oxide powder and a cosmetic. Objective.
- the first aspect of the present invention is: A zinc oxide powder having a water-soluble content of 0.30% by mass or less and a mass ratio of alkali metal to alkaline earth metal in the water-soluble material in the range of 1: 2 to 10: 1. .
- it contains zinc oxide and water soluble matter
- the content of the water-soluble material is 0.30% by mass or less
- the water-soluble material contains an alkali metal and an alkaline earth metal
- a zinc oxide powder is provided in which the mass ratio of alkali metal to alkaline earth metal in the water-soluble material is in the range of 1: 2 to 10: 1.
- the zinc oxide powder of the present invention preferably has the following characteristics. These features may be combined with each other.
- the zinc oxide powder preferably has a zinc oxide content of 99.0% by mass or more.
- the zinc oxide powder preferably has a specific surface area of 8 m 2 / g or more and 65 m 2 / g or less.
- the zinc oxide powder is preferably surface-treated at least one of an inorganic component and an organic component.
- the inorganic component is at least one selected from silica and alumina
- the organic component is a silicone compound, organopolysiloxane, fatty acid, fatty acid soap, fatty acid ester, polyolefin, N-acylamino acid or a salt thereof, N— It is also preferably at least one selected from the group consisting of acyl-N-alkylamino acids or salts thereof, hydrogenated lecithin or salts thereof, and organic titanate compounds.
- the zinc oxide content is 99.0% by mass or more, It is also preferable that the content of the water-soluble material is 0.010% by mass or more and 0.30% by mass or less.
- a second aspect of the present invention is a dispersion characterized by containing the zinc oxide powder and a dispersion medium.
- a third aspect of the present invention is a cosmetic comprising the zinc oxide powder and / or the dispersion liquid and a cosmetic base material.
- the content of the water-soluble material is 0.30% by mass or less, and the mass ratio of the alkali metal to the alkaline earth metal in the water-soluble material is 1: 2 to 10 : 1 range, the time required to solidify sebum can be shortened.
- the dispersion liquid of the present invention contains the zinc oxide powder of the present invention and the dispersion medium, the time required for solidifying sebum can be shortened.
- the zinc oxide powder of the present invention contains zinc oxide and a water-soluble material, the content of the water-soluble material is 0.30% by mass or less, and the alkali metal and alkaline earth in the water-soluble material.
- the metal mass ratio is in the range of 1: 2 to 10: 1. Because of this feature, the time required for solidifying sebum can be shortened.
- the inventors set the content of the water-soluble material to 0.30% by mass or less, and adjust the mass ratio of the alkali metal and the alkaline earth metal in the water-soluble material to a predetermined range.
- the present inventors have found that the sebum solidification time can be shortened and have completed the present invention.
- the content of the water-soluble substance is 0.30% by mass or less. Although it can be arbitrarily selected as long as it is not more than the above value, for example, it is more preferably 0.28 mass% or less, further preferably 0.25 mass% or less, and 0.23 mass% or less. Particularly preferred is 0.20% by mass or less. It is also preferable that it is 0.10 mass% or less.
- Water-soluble substances are impurities derived from zinc oxide powder. Therefore, it is preferable that the zinc oxide powder used in cosmetics has a low content of water-soluble substances, and it contains as little water-soluble substances as possible except for the minimum components that can promote sebum solidification. More preferred.
- the lower limit of the content of the water-soluble substance may be 0.001% by mass or 0.010% by mass, depending on the required conditions. It may be 0.050% by mass, 0.10% by mass, or 0.15% by mass.
- Examples of the range of the content of water-soluble matter relative to the total amount of zinc oxide powder include, for example, 0.001 mass% to 0.30 mass%, 0.001 mass% to 0.28 mass%, and the like. As an example.
- the time required for the sebum to solidify becomes longer. This is because the absolute amount of alkali metal and alkaline earth metal contained in the water-soluble material is excessive when the water-soluble material exceeds 0.30% by mass. Therefore, it is presumed that the reaction itself inhibits the reaction between the zinc oxide powder and the fatty acid and the sebum solidifying property is lowered.
- the water-soluble material contains an alkali metal. Only one type of alkali metal may be contained, or two or more types may be contained. When two or more types of alkali metals are contained in the water-soluble material, the total content of the two or more types of alkali metals is defined as the content of alkali metals.
- the alkali metal can mean lithium, sodium, potassium, rubidium, cesium, or francium.
- the content of the alkali metal is arbitrarily selected. For example, it is generally 0.001% by mass to 0.75% by mass, and 0.001% by mass with respect to the total amount of the zinc oxide powder. The content is preferably from 0.2 to 0.2% by mass, and more preferably from 0.001 to 0.05% by mass. It is difficult to make it 0.001 mass% or less.
- the water-soluble material contains an alkaline earth metal. Only one kind of alkaline earth metal may be contained, or two or more kinds may be contained. When two or more types of alkaline earth metals are contained, the total content of the two or more types of alkaline earth metals is defined as the content of alkaline earth metals.
- the alkaline earth metal can mean beryllium, magnesium, calcium, strontium, barium, or radium.
- the content of the alkaline earth metal is arbitrarily selected. For example, it is generally 0.0001% by mass to 0.2% by mass with respect to the total amount of the zinc oxide powder. The mass is preferably from 0.1% by mass to 0.1% by mass, and more preferably from 0.002% by mass to 0.05% by mass.
- the mass ratio of alkali metal to alkaline earth metal in the water-soluble material contained in the zinc oxide powder of the present invention is 1: 2 to 10: 1.
- the mass ratio can be selected as necessary as long as it is within the above range.
- the mass ratio is preferably 1: 2 to 8: 1, more preferably 1: 2 to 6: 1, and 1: 2 to 3: 1 is more preferable.
- the mass ratio of the alkali metal to the alkaline earth metal is in the above range, the time required for the sebum to solidify can be shortened.
- alkaline earth metals such as magnesium and calcium react with fatty acids contained in sebum to form insoluble fatty acid salts. Insoluble fatty acid salts do not easily flow into sweat or water. Therefore, it is presumed that the insoluble fatty acid salt does not inhibit the reaction between the zinc oxide powder and the fatty acid on the skin and enhances sebum solidification. Since it is not preferable that impurities increase excessively, it is preferable to control so that an appropriate amount of alkaline earth metal is contained. In the present invention, the alkaline earth metal is controlled so as not to decrease too much. The amount of impurities made of alkali metal or alkaline earth metal contained in the zinc oxide powder for cosmetics is very small. However, by controlling the content of these slight impurities in the zinc oxide powder, the time required for the sebum to solidify can be greatly shortened.
- fatty acids mainly oleic acid
- emollient components in sebum and oils contained in cosmetics are solidified. It is known that it is preferable to have no selectivity (Fragrance Journal, December 2015, pages 42 to 46).
- the zinc oxide powder of the present invention has good solidification of oleic acid, while cyclopentasiloxane, tri (caprylic acid / capric acid, which is generally blended as an oil in cosmetics. ) No solidifying properties such as glyceryl, squalane and olive oil. That is, the zinc oxide powder of the present invention also has an effect of selectively solidifying fatty acid (oleic acid).
- the content of zinc oxide in the zinc oxide powder of the present invention can be arbitrarily selected. For example, it is generally 95.0 mass% or more, preferably 98.0 mass% or more, more preferably 99.0 mass% or more, and 99.1 mass% or more. More preferably, it is particularly preferably 99.2% by mass or more. It is also preferable that it is 99.4 mass% or more with respect to the total amount of zinc oxide powder.
- the upper limit of the content of zinc oxide in the zinc oxide powder of the present invention can be arbitrarily selected, and may be, for example, 100% by mass or less, 99.95% by mass or less, or 99.9% by mass or less. 99.8% by mass or less, or 99.7% by mass or less.
- the content of zinc oxide in the zinc oxide powder of the present invention is in the above range, for example, it is 99.0% by mass or more and 99.9% by mass or less. It becomes easy to make content of a soluble material into 0.30 mass% or less.
- the specific surface area of the zinc oxide powder of the present invention can be arbitrarily selected according to the required characteristics. For example, from the viewpoint of transparency, it is preferable that the specific surface area is less than 8m 2 / g or more and 65 m 2 / g, more preferably 15 m 2 / g or more and 60 m 2 / g or less, 20 m 2 / g or more and 50 m 2 / g or less is more preferable, and 25 m 2 / g or more and 45 m 2 / g or less is most preferable. When the specific surface area of the zinc oxide powder is within the above range, the transparency of the dispersion containing the zinc oxide powder and the cosmetic can be increased.
- the feel of the zinc oxide powder is preferably 1 m 2 / g or more and 8m 2 / g, more preferably 2m 2 / g or more and 7m 2 / g or less, 3m More preferably, it is 2 / g or more and 7 m 2 / g or less.
- the specific surface area of the zinc oxide powder is within the above range, the feel of the cosmetic containing the zinc oxide powder can be improved.
- the content of the water-soluble substance in the zinc oxide powder means a value measured by the following method.
- this measuring method is a measuring method according to “67. Water soluble matter test method” described in Quasi-drug raw material standard 2006 (Kotohara regulations).
- the content of zinc oxide in the zinc oxide powder of the present invention means a value measured by the following method.
- this measuring method is a measuring method according to the “quantitative zinc oxide determination method” described in the Quasi-drug Raw Material Standard 2006 (External Code).
- the zinc oxide powder to be measured is put in a muffle furnace and ignited at 500 ° C. until it reaches a constant weight (the mass does not change). Thereafter, the heated zinc oxide powder is allowed to cool to room temperature in a glass desiccator containing silica gel. Weigh 1.5 g of the zinc oxide powder after cooling. To the weighed zinc oxide powder, 50 mL of water and 20 mL of diluted hydrochloric acid are added and heated to form a solution in which the zinc oxide powder is dissolved. If unwanted matter remains, add 3 drops of nitric acid to completely dissolve the unwanted matter. The resulting solution is cooled to room temperature and water is added to bring the total volume to 250 mL.
- the specific surface area of the zinc oxide powder means a value measured by the BET method using, for example, a fully automatic specific surface area measuring device (trade name: Macsorb HM Model-1201, manufactured by Mountec).
- the zinc oxide powder of the present invention at least a part of the surface thereof may be surface-treated with at least one of an inorganic component and an organic component.
- the zinc oxide powder surface-treated with at least one of the inorganic component and the organic component is referred to as a surface-treated zinc oxide powder.
- the surface-treated zinc oxide powder can further suppress the surface activity of zinc oxide and can improve dispersibility in a dispersion medium.
- the inorganic component and the organic component can be appropriately selected and used according to the use of the zinc oxide powder.
- the inorganic component and / or organic component used for the treatment is not particularly limited.
- the surface treating agent generally used for cosmetics can be used.
- the inorganic component include silica and alumina. You may use these inorganic components individually by 1 type or in combination of 2 or more types of inorganic components.
