- FIG. 1D shows a state in which the table 12 has moved further forward after printing, and the table 12 contacts two points of the auxiliary wheel 38 and the first rotating roller 30.
- the rotating roller 30 is always in contact with the table 12 in a place where it is necessary to apply rotation to the medium 62.
- the auxiliary wheels 36 and 38 are moved back and forth in order to smoothly carry the table 12. Since one of the auxiliary wheels and the rotating roller 32 are in contact with each other at two locations, the rotating roller 32 is within the range where printing is performed by rotating the medium 62 by moving the table. The table 62 can be contacted without lifting and the medium 62 can be reliably conveyed. In addition, even if the contact is made at three points, the structure does not lift, but even if the intermediate rotating roller 32 is slightly lifted, there is no effect because the printing is completed at that time. .
- the transport distance of the table 12 is large, but in this structure, printing is performed on the medium 62 after contact with the rotating roller 30, so that it is necessary. Since the transport distance of the table 12 is only the range from the print start position to the print end position described in FIG. 1B, the range of the necessary transport distance is required for efficient printing. It may be controlled so that the table 12 is moved only within. In the present embodiment, an apparatus for performing printing by moving the head in the Y-axis direction has been described. However, when a line-type inkjet head is used, the medium 62 is moved only by moving the table without moving the head in the Y-axis direction. It is also possible to carry out printing by continuously rotating and the structure may be selected in various ways within a range not exceeding the gist of the present invention.
- the roller mechanism that is arranged in the movable portion 24 and contacts the table 12 by the weight of the movable portion 24 and converts the movement of the table 12 into the rotation of the cylindrical print medium 62 is the same as the first rotating roller 30 shown in the above embodiment.
- the configuration of the pair of rollers of the second rotating roller 32 is not limited, and as shown in FIG. 6, a roller 31 is rotatably provided in the movable portion 24 separately from the first roller 30. Is connected to the first rotating roller 30 by power transmission means such as an endless belt 64 or a gear, and the roller 31 is configured to rotate in conjunction with the first rotating roller 30, and the associated rotating roller 31 and the first rotating roller 31 are coupled to the first rotating roller 30.
- the cylindrical print medium 62 may be supported by the two rotary rollers 32, and various configurations can be employed.
- changing the ratio of the gears or the like can change the transport distance of the table and the rotation distance of the medium 62, so that the rotation of the medium greatly decreases. It is also possible to rotate.
- a mechanism for rotating the print head 8 by 90 degrees is provided, and printing using the print width of the print head 8 as it is or the transmission direction of the table movement is set as a gear. It is also possible to rotate the medium around the X axis by changing the rotation of the roller supporting the medium around the X axis by changing the angle by 90 degrees, etc., and within the scope not exceeding the gist of the present invention Just make a choice.
