- (A) is a front view of a digital still camera
- (b) is a rear view of a digital still camera.
- FIG. 16 is a cross-sectional view along the arrow AA ′ in FIG. It is a flowchart which shows the manufacturing method of a zoom lens.
- the zoom lens ZL includes a first lens group G1 having a negative refractive power, a second lens group G2 having a positive refractive power, arranged in order from the object side, It has a third lens group G3 having a negative refractive power and a fourth lens group G4 having a positive refractive power, and includes a first lens group G1, a second lens group G2, a third lens group G3, and a fourth lens.
- the first lens group G1 includes a negative lens L11, a negative lens, and a positive lens arranged closest to the object side. (Lens L12 and L13 in FIG. 1), and the following conditional expression (1) is satisfied.
- D3W the air gap between the third lens group G3 and the fourth lens group G4 in the wide-angle end state
- D3T Air distance between the third lens group G3 and the fourth lens group G4 in the telephoto end state.
- Conditional expression (1) indicates that the air gap between the third lens group G3 and the fourth lens group G4 in the wide-angle end state and the telephoto end state (from the lens surface closest to the image side of the third lens group G3 in the wide-angle end state). This is a conditional expression that defines the distance on the optical axis to the lens surface closest to the object side of the four lens group G4.
- conditional expression (1) If the lower limit of conditional expression (1) is not reached, it is advantageous for correcting coma aberration, astigmatism, and lateral chromatic aberration, but the third lens group G3 and the fourth lens group G4 in the wide-angle end state and the telephoto end state Since the air gap between the zoom lens and the air gap changes greatly, the change in the incident angle on the imaging surface due to zooming becomes large, which is not preferable. If the upper limit value of conditional expression (1) is exceeded, correction of coma, astigmatism and lateral chromatic aberration will be difficult while achieving downsizing, which is not preferable.
- conditional expression (1) In order to ensure the effect of this embodiment, it is preferable to set the upper limit value of conditional expression (1) to 1.05. In order to secure the effect of the present embodiment, it is preferable to set the upper limit of conditional expression (1) to 1.01.
- the zoom lens ZL according to the present embodiment satisfies the following conditional expression (2).
- M3 the amount of movement of the third lens group G3 on the optical axis in zooming from the wide-angle end state to the telephoto end state
- M4 The amount of movement of the fourth lens group G4 on the optical axis in zooming from the wide-angle end state to the telephoto end state.
- Conditional expression (2) is a conditional expression that defines the ratio of the amount of movement between the third lens group G3 and the fourth lens group G4 when zooming from the wide-angle end state to the telephoto end state.
- conditional expression (2) If the upper limit value of conditional expression (2) is exceeded, it is advantageous for correcting chromatic aberration and the like, but if focusing is performed with the third lens group G3 or the fourth lens group G4 for miniaturization, a stroke is secured. In addition, the refractive power of the focus group must be increased, which makes it difficult to correct astigmatism and coma, which is not preferable.
- conditional expression (2) it is preferable to set the upper limit of conditional expression (2) to 0.996.
- the zoom lens ZL according to the present embodiment satisfies the following conditional expression (3).
- BFw Air-converted distance from the final lens surface to the image plane in the wide-angle end state of the zoom lens ZL
- fw focal length in the wide-angle end state of the zoom lens ZL
- ft focal length of the zoom lens ZL in the telephoto end state.
- Conditional expression (3) is a conditional expression that defines an optimal back focus for miniaturization and aberration correction in the zoom lens ZL of the present embodiment. If the lower limit value of conditional expression (3) is not reached, it is advantageous for downsizing, but it is not preferable because there is no space for arranging a filter or the like between the final lens surface and the imaging surface. In addition, astigmatism and coma become worse. When the upper limit of conditional expression (3) is exceeded, it is advantageous for the arrangement of a filter or the like, but is not preferable for downsizing. In addition, astigmatism and coma become worse.
- the zoom lens ZL according to the present embodiment satisfies the following conditional expression (4).
- ⁇ dw the distance from the lens front surface to the lens final surface in the wide-angle end state of the zoom lens ZL
- ⁇ dt distance from the lens front surface to the lens final surface in the telephoto end state of the zoom lens ZL.
- Conditional expression (4) is a conditional expression that prescribes the change in the incident angle on the imaging surface due to zooming and the change in lens thickness that is optimal for correcting various aberrations. If the lower limit of conditional expression (4) is not reached, it is advantageous for miniaturization, but it is not preferable because the change in the incident angle on the imaging surface becomes too large. Further, spherical aberration and coma aberration are deteriorated. When the upper limit of conditional expression (4) is exceeded, the change in the incident angle on the imaging surface is small, but it is not preferable because correction of coma and astigmatism becomes difficult.
- the first lens group G1 includes a meniscus negative lens L11 having a concave surface facing the image side, a biconcave negative lens L12, and an object side. And a meniscus-shaped positive lens L13 having a convex surface.
- This configuration makes it possible to satisfactorily correct field curvature, astigmatism, and lateral chromatic aberration with the entire lens system while increasing the angle of view.
- the fourth lens group G4 includes one lens and satisfies the following conditional expression (5).
- f4 focal length of the fourth lens group G4
- fw focal length in the wide-angle end state of the zoom lens ZL.
- Conditional expression (5) is a conditional expression that prescribes the focal length of the fourth lens group G4, which is optimal for lens miniaturization and correction of various aberrations. If the lower limit value of conditional expression (5) is not reached, the focal length of the fourth lens group G4 becomes too small, which is disadvantageous for lens miniaturization. Further, coma aberration and field curvature are deteriorated. If the upper limit of conditional expression (5) is exceeded, it is advantageous for downsizing, but it is not preferable because the incident angle on the imaging surface becomes large. Further, coma aberration and field curvature are deteriorated.
- f1 Focal length of the first lens group G1
- f2 focal length of the second lens group G2.
- Conditional expression (6) is a conditional expression for defining an appropriate focal length between the first lens group G1 and the second lens group G2 in order to balance lens miniaturization and aberration correction. If the lower limit value of conditional expression (6) is not reached, the focal length of the first lens group G1 becomes shorter than the focal length of the second lens group G2, so that spherical aberration, coma aberration, etc. generated in the first lens group G1. It is difficult to correct this, which is not preferable. Exceeding the upper limit value of conditional expression (6) is not preferable because it is disadvantageous for downsizing. In addition, spherical aberration is worsened.
- the third lens group G3 is composed of a cemented lens having a negative refractive power.
- the third lens group G3 is composed of one negative lens.
- This configuration makes it possible to reduce coma aberration fluctuation and field curvature fluctuation due to zooming while reducing the size of the lens.
- the second lens group G2 has the positive lens L21 closest to the object side.
- This configuration makes it possible to satisfactorily correct spherical aberration and coma generated in the first lens group G1.
- the second lens group G2 includes a positive lens L21 and a cemented lens including a positive lens L22 and a negative lens L23 arranged in order from the object side.
- This configuration makes it possible to satisfactorily correct spherical aberration, astigmatism, coma and chromatic aberration while reducing the size of the lens.
- the positive lens L21 located closest to the object side in the second lens group G2 preferably has an aspherical surface.
- This configuration makes it possible to satisfactorily correct spherical aberration, astigmatism, and coma while miniaturizing the lens.
