Abstract
Description
これらの粉体が含有する着色剤としては、各種の顔料や染料が挙げられる。しかしながら、着色剤として昇華性を有する染料を含有する樹脂組成物の粉体は、他の着色剤とは異なり、例えば輸送時、着色材料としての使用時、長期の保存又は経時変化等により、特に高温下での粉体凝集が特徴的に生じることが知られてきたため、その抑制が極めて重大な課題となっている。
このような凝集が生じると、粉体の流動性、分散性、又は帯電性等の諸物性を損なうことに繋がるため、粉体凝集の抑制が強く要求されている。
また、このような現象は、昇華性を有する染料を含有する粉体において顕著に観察されるため、そのような粉体において、特にその改善が強く要望されている。
このような染色不良は、顔料を含有する樹脂組成物の粉体では観察されず、染料を含有する粉体に特有な現象であるため、染料を含有する粉体においては、その改善が極めて重要な課題である。
また、電子写真方式で用いる乾式の粉体トナーや液体トナーとしては、例えば、特許文献2~5に様々な種類のものが開示されている。
電子写真方式を用いる昇華転写染色は、例えば下記の特許文献6~11に開示されている。
(2)少なくとも樹脂、及び、少なくとも2種類の昇華性を有する染料を含有する樹脂組成物の粉体であって、上記少なくとも2種類の昇華性を有する染料のうち、少なくとも1種類の染料のプロピレングリコールモノメチルエーテルアセテートに対する溶解度が0.5g/100ml~3g/100mlであり、少なくとも1種類の別の染料のプロピレングリコールモノメチルエーテルアセテートに対する溶解度が0.5g/100ml未満である、粉体。
(3)上記樹脂組成物の粉体の総質量中に含有する、プロピレングリコールモノメチルエーテルアセテートに対する溶解度が0.5g/100ml~3g/100mlの染料の総含有量と、プロピレングリコールモノメチルエーテルアセテートに対する溶解度が0.5g/100ml未満の染料の総含有量との比率が、質量基準で10/90~90/10である、上記(2)に記載の粉体。
(4)前記少なくとも2種類の昇華性を有する染料のうち、プロピレングリコールモノメチルエーテルアセテートに対する溶解度が0.5g/100ml~3g/100mlである少なくとも1種類の染料が、アントラキノン系、キノフタロン系、アゾ系の各化合物から選択される染料であり、少なくとも1種類の別の染料が、アントラキノン系、アゾ系、アゾメチン系、インドフェノール系、インドアニリン系、ピロリン系、キノフタロン系、ナフタルイミド系の各化合物から選択される染料である、上記(2)又は(3)に記載の粉体。
(5)粉体からの染料の滲み出しの抑制に用いるか、または、染色性の改善方法において着色剤として用いる、上記(2)~(4)のいずれか一つに記載の樹脂組成物の粉体。

本発明は、少なくとも樹脂、及び、少なくとも昇華性を有する染料を含有する樹脂組成物の粉体における上記の課題を、少なくともさらに1種類の染料を加えて少なくとも2種類の染料を含有すること、且つ、それら少なくとも2種類の昇華性を有する染料のうち、少なくとも1種類の染料のプロピレングリコールモノメチルエーテルアセテートに対する溶解度が0.5g/100ml~3g/100ml、少なくとも1種類の別の染料のプロピレングリコールモノメチルエーテルアセテートに対する溶解度が0.5g/100ml未満の染料とすること、又は、それら少なくとも2種類の昇華性を有する染料のうち、前記少なくとも1種類の染料の前記溶解度が0.2g/100ml~3g/100ml、少なくとも1種類の別の染料の前記溶解度が0.2g/100ml未満の染料とすることにより、上記の課題を解決したものである。
なお、プロピレングリコールモノメチルエーテルアセテートとは、プロピレングリコール-1-モノメチルエーテル-2-アセテートを意味し、本明細書においては「PGMEA」と省略して記載することもある。
該PGMEAに対する溶解度が0.2g/100ml~3g/100mlの、上記少なくとも1種類の染料としては、好ましくは0.5g/100ml~3g/100mlの染料、より好ましくは0.5g/100ml~2g/100mlの染料が挙げられる。
上記樹脂組成物の粉体の総質量中に含有する、前記少なくとも1種類の染料の総含有量と、前記少なくとも1種類の別の染料の総含有量との比率は通常10/90~90/10、好ましくは30/70~70/30、より好ましくは40/60~60/40である。但し、3種類以上の染料を配合し、且つ黒色の着色剤として該粉体を使用するときは、上記比率が10/90~90/10の範囲で任意に染料を混合するのが好ましい。
また、樹脂組成物の「粉体」とは、粒子状等の各種の形状を有する粉体の全てを含む意味で使用する。
測定は1染料について少なくとも2回行い、得られた数値の有効数字2桁目を四捨五入した値を、その染料の溶解度とする。また2回の測定値に差が生じたときは、2回の測定で得られた数値を下限値と上限値として記載することにする。
上記の粉体凝集の原因は、樹脂組成物中において均一に溶融又は分散していた染料が、おそらく熱により不均一化し、樹脂組成物の表面に固体として析出する(滲み出る)現象に起因するものと思われた。この染料が滲み出た状態は、例えば電子顕微鏡等で粉体を観察することにより確認することが可能である。この染料が滲み出た状態と、粉体凝集との間に相関性のあることが見出され、染料の滲み出しが少ないほど、粉体凝集が生じない又は生じ難いことが示唆された。このことを評価試験により確認し、染料の滲み出しを抑制することにより、粉体凝集を抑制できることが分かった。
イエロー染料としては、C.I.ディスパースイエロー3、7、8、23、39、51、54、60、71、86;C.I.ソルベントイエロー114、163;等が挙げられる。
オレンジ染料としては、C.I.ディスパースオレンジ1、1:1、5、20、25、25:1、33、56、76;等が挙げられる。
ブラウン染料としては、C.I.ディスパースブラウン2;等が挙げられる。
レッド染料としては、C.I.ディスパースレッド11、50、53、55、55:1、59、60、65、70、75、93、146、158、190、190:1、207、239、240;C.I.バットレッド41;等が挙げられる。
バイオレット染料としては、C.I.ディスパースバイオレット8、17、23、27、28、29、36、57;等が挙げられる。
ブルー染料としては、C.I.ディスパースブルー19、26、26:1、35、55、56、58、64、64:1、72、72:1、81、81:1、91、95、108、131、141、145、359、360;C.I.ソルベントブルー3、63、83、105、111;等が挙げられる。
それらの中では、アントラキノン系とアントラキノン系、アントラキノン系とアゾ系、アントラキノン系とアゾメチン系、アントラキノン系とインドフェノール系、アントラキノン系とインドアニリン系、アントラキノン系とピロリン系、キノフタロン系とキノフタロン系、キノフタロン系とアントラキノン系、キノフタロン系とアゾ系、キノフタロン系とナフタルイミド系、アゾ系とアゾ系、アゾ系とアゾメチン系、アゾ系とインドフェノール系、アゾ系とインドアニリン系、アゾ系とピロリン系等の各化合物の組み合わせを含む、少なくとも2種類の染料を含有することが好ましい。
これらの組み合わせの中では、アントラキノン系とアントラキノン系、アントラキノン系とアゾ系、キノフタロン系とアゾ系、キノフタロン系とアントラキノン系の各化合物の組み合わせを含む、少なくとも2種類の染料を含有することがさらに好ましい。
例えば、ブラックインクの調製においては、ブルー染料を主体にオレンジ染料、及びレッド染料を適宜配合してブラック色に調色し、これをブラック染料として用いることができる。また、例えばブルー、オレンジ、レッド、バイオレット、又はブラック等の色調を、望みの色調に微調製する目的等で複数の染料を配合してもよい。
その具体例としては、例えば、スチレン又はスチレン誘導体の重合体、スチレン系共重合体、ポリメチルメタクリレート、ポリブチルメタクリレート、ポリ塩化ビニル、ポリ酢酸ビニル、ポリエチレン、ポリプロピレン、ポリエステル、エポキシ樹脂、エポキシポリオール樹脂、ポリウレタン、ポリアミド、ポリビニルブチラール、ポリアクリル酸樹脂、ロジン、変性ロジン、テルペン樹脂、脂肪族炭化水素樹脂、脂環族炭化水素樹脂、芳香族系石油樹脂、塩素化パラフィン、パラフィンワックス等が挙げられる。
上記した樹脂は、いずれも単独で使用してもよいし、2種類以上を併用してもよい。
上記スチレン系共重合体としては、例えば、スチレン-p-クロロスチレン共重合体、スチレン-プロピレン共重合体、スチレン-ビニルトルエン共重合体、スチレン-ビニルナフタリン共重合体、スチレン-アクリル酸エステル共重合体(スチレン-アクリル酸メチル共重合体、スチレン-アクリル酸エチル共重合体、スチレン-アクリル酸ブチル共重合体、スチレン-アクリル酸オクチル共重合体等)、スチレン-メタクリル酸エステル共重合体(スチレン-メタクリル酸メチル共重合体、スチレン-メタクリル酸エチル共重合体、スチレン-メタクリル酸ブチル共重合体等)、スチレン-α-クロルメタクリル酸メチル共重合体、スチレン-アクリロニトリル共重合体、スチレン-ビニルメチルケトン共重合体、スチレン-ブタジエン共重合体、スチレン-イソプレン共重合体、スチレン-アクリロニトリル-インデン共重合体、スチレン-マレイン酸共重合体、スチレン-マレイン酸エステル共重合体等が挙げられる。
染料の総含有量が1%未満であると着色材料として十分な性能が発揮できず、40%を超えると該粉体中での染料の溶融又は分散不良が生じ、染料の滲み出しの抑制が困難になり、また、染色性の改善も困難になる。
添加剤の一例として粉体トナーを挙げると、例えばワックス、荷電制御剤、外添剤等の添加剤が挙げられる。これらの種類、樹脂組成物の粉体の総質量中における含有量、及び、これらの添加剤を含有する粉体トナーの製造方法等については、いずれも公知の先行技術文献に記載されている。上記樹脂組成物の粉体を、粉体トナーとして用いるときは、公知の先行技術文献に基づき粉体トナーとして調製すればよく、他の用途に使用するときも、同様に調製すればよい。
上記樹脂組成物の粉体は、そのような添加剤を含有するときであっても、十分な凝集抑制効果を発揮する。
ワックスとしては、例えば、カルナウバワックス、綿ロウ、木ロウ、ライスワックス等の植物系ワックス;ミツロウ、ラノリン等の動物系ワックス;モンタンワックス、オゾケライト、セルシン等の鉱物系ワックス;パラフィン、マイクロクリスタリン、ペトロラタム等の石油ワックス;等の天然ワックスが挙げられる。
また、例えば、フィッシャー・トロプシュワックス、ポリエチレンワックス等の合成炭化水素ワックス;エステル、ケトン、エーテル等の合成ワックス;等の合成ワックスも挙げられる。
さらに、12-ヒドロキシステアリン酸アミド、ステアリン酸アミド、無水フタル酸イミド、塩素化炭化水素等の脂肪酸アミド;低分子量の結晶性高分子樹脂である、ポリ-n-ステアリルメタクリレート、ポリ-n-ラウリルメタクリレート等のポリアクリレートのホモ重合体あるいは共重合体(例えば、n-ステアリルアクリレート-エチルメタクリレートの共重合体等);側鎖に長いアルキル基を有する結晶性高分子、等をワックスとして用いることもできる。
ワックスは、いずれも単独で使用することも、2種類以上を併用することもできる。
ワックスの含有量は通常0.1~20%、好ましくは0.5~10%である。
ワックスの含有量が0.1%未満のときは定着ローラへのオフセットが生じやすく、20%を超えると中間記録媒体に対する樹脂組成物の粉体の定着不良が生じる。ワックスの入手方法は特に制限されず、公知の方法で合成することも、市販品として入手することもできる。市販品の一例としては、例えば、カルナウバワックスとしては株式会社加藤洋行製のカルナウバワックスC1等;モンタンワックスとしてはクラリアント社製のLicowax KP等;等が挙げられる。
例えば、ニグロシン系染料、トリフェニルメタン系染料、クロム含有金属錯体染料、モリブデン酸キレート顔料、ローダミン系染料、アルコキシ系アミン、4級アンモニウム塩(フッ素変性4級アンモニウム塩を含む)、アルキルアミド、燐の単体又はその化合物、タングステンの単体又はその化合物、フッ素系活性剤、サリチル酸の金属塩、サリチル酸誘導体の金属塩、等が挙げられる。
荷電制御剤は、いずれも単独で使用することも、2種類以上を併用することもできる。
荷電制御剤の含有量は上記の樹脂の種類、他の添加剤の有無等により変動し、一概に規定することは困難である。荷電制御剤の含有量の目安としては、上記の樹脂組成物の粉体を構成する、少なくともポリエステル樹脂を含有する樹脂の総質量に対して通常0.1~10%、好ましくは0.2~5%程度である。
荷電制御剤の含有量が0.1%未満のときは、帯電制御性能が得られないことがあり、10%を超えると樹脂組成物の粉体の帯電性が大きくなりすぎ、荷電制御剤の効果を減退させて、樹脂組成物の粉体と現像ローラとの静電的吸引力が増大し、該粉体の流動性の低下や、画像濃度の低下を生じることがある。
荷電制御剤の市販品としては、例えば、ニグロシン系染料のボントロン03、第四級アンモニウム塩のボントロンP-51、含金属アゾ染料のボントロンS-34、オキシナフトエ酸系金属錯体のボントロンE-82、サリチル酸系金属錯体のボントロンE-84、フェノール系縮合物のボントロンE-89(以上、オリエント化学工業社製);第四級アンモニウム塩モリブデン錯体のTP-302、TP-415(以上、保土谷化学工業社製);第四級アンモニウム塩のコピーチャージPSY VP2038、トリフェニルメタン誘導体のコピーブルーPR、第四級アンモニウム塩のコピーチャージNEG VP2036、コピーチャージNX VP434(以上、ヘキスト社製);LRA-901、ホウ素錯体であるLR-147(日本カーリット社製);銅フタロシアニン;ペリレン;キナクリドン;アゾ系顔料;又は、スルホン酸基、カルボキシル基、四級アンモニウム塩等の官能基を有する、高分子系の化合物;等が挙げられる。
これらの外添剤は、例えば、メチルトリメトキシシラン、メチルトリエトキシシラン、オクチルトリメトキシシラン等のシランカップリング剤で疎水化処理を行うこともできる。また、必要に応じてシリコーンオイルで処理することも可能であり、加熱下に処理を行うこともできる。シリコーンオイルとしては、例えば、ジメチルシリコーンオイル、メチルフェニルシリコーンオイル、クロルフェニルシリコーンオイル、フッ素変性シリコーンオイル、ポリエーテル変性シリコーンオイル、アルコール変性シリコーンオイル、アミノ変性シリコーンオイル、エポキシ変性シリコーンオイル、エポキシ・ポリエーテル変性シリコーンオイル、フェノール変性シリコーンオイル、カルボキシル変性シリコーンオイル、メルカプト変性シリコーンオイル、アクリル変性シリコーンオイル、メタクリル変性シリコーンオイル、α-メチルスチレン変性シリコーンオイル等が挙げられる。
外添剤の一次粒子径としては、5nm~2μmが好ましく、5nm~500nmがより好ましい。また、上記外添剤のBET法による比表面積としては、20~500m2/gが好ましい。
外添剤の市販品としては、例えば、シリカとしては日本アエロジル株式会社製のAEROSIL R812、AEROSIL RX50、AEROSIL RX200、AEROSIL RX300、キャボットジャパン株式会社製のTG-6110G、TG-810G、TG-811F、クラリアントジャパン株式会社製のH2000/4、H2000T、H05TM、H13TM、H20TM、H30TM等;アルミナとしては日本アエロジル株式会社製のAEROXIDE Alu C 805等;酸化チタンとしてはチタン工業株式会社製のSTT-30A、EC-300、日本アエロジル株式会社製のAEROXIDE TiO2 T805、AEROXIDE TiO2 NKT90等;チタン酸ストロンチウムとしてはチタン工業株式会社製のSW-100、SW-350等;等が挙げられる。これらの中では、AEROSIL RX300、H05TM、TG-811F、SW-100、SW-350等が好ましい。
外添剤の使用量は、外添剤で処理する上記の樹脂組成物の粉体の総質量に対して通常0.01~5%、好ましくは0.01~4%である。
これらのうち、疎水性繊維としては、疎水性繊維又は疎水性繊維を含有する混紡繊維、若しくは該繊維の構造物である布帛が挙げられる。上記の疎水性繊維としては、少なくともポリエステル繊維を含有する繊維が挙げられる。
上記の疎水性樹脂を含有する物質としては、疎水性樹脂として少なくともポリエステル樹脂を含有する物質が挙げられる。
疎水性樹脂を含有する物質としては、例えば、疎水性樹脂を含有するフィルムやシート、好ましくはPETフィルムやPETシート等;疎水性樹脂がコーティングされた布帛、ガラス、金属、陶器等;が挙げられる。なお、「PET」は「ポリエチレンテレフタレート」を意味する。
上記の疎水性繊維又は疎水性繊維を含有する混紡繊維、若しくは該繊維の構造物である布帛の具体例としては、例えば、サテン、トロピカル、ダブルピケ、マイクロファイバー等が挙げられる。

これらの紙等のうち、昇華転写に使用できるものであれば、いずれも中間記録媒体として使用することができる。
なお、後記するように、昇華転写を行うときは通常190℃~210℃程度の熱処理を行う。従って、上記の中間記録媒体のうち、該熱処理のときに安定なものが好ましい。
実施例中、平均粒子径は、精密粒度分布測定装置「Mulitisizer 3(ベックマン・コールター株式会社製)」を用いて測定した。
以下に実施例及び比較例の上記染料樹脂組成物を調製し、その凝集の抑制効果を試験した。
三菱レイヨン株式会社製のダイヤクロンFC-316(43.8部:ポリエステル系樹脂)、C.I.ディスパースイエロー54(1.8部:日本化薬株式会社製)、C.I.ディスパースレッド60(1.4部:日本化薬株式会社製)、C.I.ディスパースブルー72(5.8部:日本化薬株式会社製)を220℃のホットプレート上で樹脂と染料を溶解させて、1分間混練した。得られた混練物をミキサー(象印マホービン株式会社製:BM-RS08)で粉砕することにより、染料を含有する樹脂組成物の粉体を得た。
三菱レイヨン株式会社製のダイヤクロンFC-316(48.0部:ポリエステル系樹脂)、C.I.ディスパースブルー359(3.5部:日本化薬株式会社製)、C.I.ソルベントブルー63(3.5部:日本化薬株式会社製)を220℃のホットプレート上で樹脂と染料を溶解させて、1分間混練した。得られた混練物をミキサー(象印マホービン株式会社製:BM-RS08)で粉砕することにより、染料を含有する樹脂組成物の粉体を得た。
三菱レイヨン株式会社製のダイヤクロンFC-316(52.5部:ポリエステル系樹脂)、C.I.ディスパースイエロー54(2.4部:日本化薬株式会社製)を220℃のホットプレート上で樹脂と染料を溶解させて、1分間混練した。得られた混練物をミキサー(象印マホービン株式会社製:BM-RS08)で粉砕することにより、染料を含有する樹脂組成物の粉体を得た。
三菱レイヨン株式会社製のダイヤクロンFC-316(48.0部:ポリエステル系樹脂)、C.I.ディスパースブルー359(7.0部:日本化薬株式会社製)を220℃のホットプレート上で樹脂と染料を溶解させて、1分間混練した。得られた混練物をミキサー(象印マホービン株式会社製:BM-RS08)で粉砕することにより、染料を含有する樹脂組成物の粉体を得た。
下記表1中の略号は、以下の意味を有する。
DsY 54:C.I.ディスパースイエロー54。
DsR 60:C.I.ディスパースレッド60。
DsB 72:C.I.ディスパースブルー72。
DsB 359:C.I.ディスパースブルー359。
SvB 63:C.I.ソルベントブルー63。
50mlのガラス管瓶(日電理化硝子社製、SV-50A)、に染料樹脂組成物を5.0g秤量し、キャップ蓋をして密閉し、下記2条件で保管した後、室温に戻るまで静置した。その後、各樹脂組成物の粉体の電子顕微鏡(日立ハイテクノロジーズ株式会社製、S-4800形電界放出形走査電子顕微鏡)写真から染料の滲み出しの有無を、それぞれ下記A~Dの評価基準に従って評価した。
条件1:室温(25℃)下で24時間保管。
条件2:60℃±1℃の恒温器に入れ、24時間保管。
A:滲み出した固体がほとんど観測されない。
B:滲み出した固体が観測されるが、1μm未満の小さな固体がほとんどである。
C:滲み出した固体が観測されるが、1μm以上3μm未満の中型の固体が多数観測される。
D:滲み出した固体が非常に多く、3μm以上の大きな固体が数多観測される。
(工程1)
三菱レイヨン株式会社製のダイヤクロンFC-316(95部)、C.I.ディスパースイエロー54(日本化薬株式会社製:1.5部)、C.I.ディスパースレッド60(日本化薬株式会社製:2.0部)、C.I.ディスパースブルー72(日本化薬株式会社製:6.5部)、ボントロン E-84(1部)、カルナバワックスC1(4部)をヘンシェルミキサーに入れ、30m/秒の回転速度で10分間予備混合した後、二軸押出機により溶融混練した。得られた溶融混練物を粉砕・分級機を用いて粉砕・分級することにより、平均粒子径が8.0μmのトナー母粒子を得た。
実施例A-3(工程1)で得られたトナー母粒子(100部)、クラリアントジャパン社製のH05TM(1.5部)、キャボット社製のTG-811F(1.5部)、チタン工業社製のSW-100(1.0部)をヘンシェルミキサーに入れ、30m/秒の回転速度で10分間撹拌し、実施例A-3のブラックトナーを調製した。

実施例A-4(工程1)で得られたトナー母粒子(100部)、クラリアントジャパン社製のH05TM(1.5部)、キャボット社製のTG-811F(1.5部)、チタン工業社製のSW-100(1.0部)をヘンシェルミキサーに入れ、30m/秒の回転速度で10分間撹拌し、実施例A-4のシアントナーを調製した。

比較例A-3(工程1)で得られたトナー母粒子(100部)、クラリアントジャパン社製のH05TM(1.5部)、キャボット社製のTG-811F(1.5部)、チタン工業社製のSW-100(1.0部)をヘンシェルミキサーに入れ、30m/秒の回転速度で10分間撹拌し、染料を1種類しか含まない比較用のイエロートナーを得た。

比較例A-4(工程1)で得られたトナー母粒子(100部)、クラリアントジャパン社製のH05TM(1.5部)、キャボット社製のTG-811F(1.5部)、チタン工業社製のSW-100(1.0部)をヘンシェルミキサーに入れ、30m/秒の回転速度で10分間撹拌し、染料を1種類しか含まない比較用のシアントナーを得た。
三菱レイヨン株式会社製のダイヤクロンFC-316(48.0部:ポリエステル系樹脂)、C.I.ディスパースイエロー54(2.0部:日本化薬株式会社製)、C.I.ディスパースレッド60(2.0部:日本化薬株式会社製)を220℃のホットプレート上で樹脂と染料を溶解させて、1分間混練した。得られた混練物をミキサーで粉砕することにより、染料を含有する樹脂組成物の粉体を得た。

下記表4中の略号は、以下の意味を有する。
DsY 54:C.I.ディスパースイエロー54。
DsR 60:C.I.ディスパースレッド60。
DsB 72:C.I.ディスパースブルー72。
DsB 359:C.I.ディスパースブルー359。
DsB 360:C.I.ディスパースブルー360。
SvB 63:C.I.ソルベントブルー63。
50mlのガラス管瓶(日電理化硝子社製、SV-50A)、に染料樹脂組成物を5.0g秤量し、キャップ蓋をして密閉し、下記2条件で保管した後、室温に戻るまで静置した。その後、各樹脂組成物の粉体の電子顕微鏡(日立ハイテクノロジーズ株式会社製、S-4800形電界放出形走査電子顕微鏡)写真から染料の滲み出しの有無を、それぞれ下記A~Dの評価基準に従って評価した。
条件1:室温(25℃)下で24時間保管。
条件2:60℃±1℃の恒温器に入れ、24時間保管。
A:滲み出した固体がほとんど観測されない。
B:滲み出した固体が観測されるが、1μm未満の小さな固体がほとんどである。
C:滲み出した固体が観測されるが、1μm以上3μm未満の中型の固体が多数観測される。
D:滲み出した固体が非常に多く、3μm以上の大きな固体が数多観測される。
上記樹脂組成物の粉体の一例として、粉体トナーを調製し、その染色性の改善効果を試験した。
[実施例B-1]
上記実施例A-3(工程1)及び(工程2)と同様にして、実施例B-1のブラックトナーを調製した。実施例A-3と、実施例B-1のブラックトナーは実質的に同じトナーである。
上記実施例A-4(工程1)及び(工程2)と同様にして、実施例B-2のシアントナーを調製した。実施例A-4と、実施例B-2のシアントナーは実質的に同じトナーである。
(工程1)
三菱レイヨン株式会社製のダイヤクロンFC-316(105部)、C.I.ディスパースイエロー54(日本化薬株式会社製:5.0部)、ボントロン E-84(1部)、カルナバワックスC1(4部)をヘンシェルミキサーに入れ、30m/秒の回転速度で10分間予備混合した後、二軸押出機により溶融混練した。得られた溶融混練物を粉砕・分級機を用いて粉砕・分級することにより、平均粒子径が7.8μmのトナー母粒子を得た。
比較例B-1(工程1)で得られたトナー母粒子(100部)、クラリアントジャパン社製のH05TM(1.5部)、キャボット社製のTG-811F(1.5部)、チタン工業社製のSW-100(1.0部)をヘンシェルミキサーに入れ、30m/秒の回転速度で10分間撹拌し、染料を1種類しか含まない比較用のイエロートナーを得た。
(工程1)
三菱レイヨン株式会社製のダイヤクロンFC-316(96部)、C.I.ディスパースブルー359(日本化薬株式会社製:11.5部)、ボントロン E-84(1部)、カルナバワックスC1(4部)をヘンシェルミキサーに入れ、30m/秒の回転速度で10分間予備混合した後、二軸押出機により溶融混練した。得られた溶融混練物を粉砕・分級機を用いて粉砕・分級することにより、平均粒子径が7.8μmのトナー母粒子を得た。
比較例B-2(工程1)で得られたトナー母粒子(100部)、クラリアントジャパン社製のH05TM(1.5部)、キャボット社製のTG-811F(1.5部)、チタン工業社製のSW-100(1.0部)をヘンシェルミキサーに入れ、30m/秒の回転速度で10分間撹拌し、染料を1種類しか含まない比較用のシアントナーを得た。
下記表5中の略号は、以下の意味を有する。
DsY 54:C.I.ディスパースイエロー54。
DsR 60:C.I.ディスパースレッド60。
DsB 72:C.I.ディスパースブルー72。
DsB 359:C.I.ディスパースブルー359。
SvB 63:C.I.ソルベントブルー63。
乾式非磁性1成分現像方式印刷機(桂川電気株式会社製:KIPc7800)に、上記実施例及び比較例で得た各トナーをそれぞれ充填した。中間記録媒体としてA0判のボンド紙を用いて、解像度:600pixel/inch、定着温度:140℃、現像バイアス:200Vの条件でベタ画像を印刷した中間記録媒体をそれぞれ得た。
得られた各中間記録媒体の掃きムラと画像メモリの有無を目視にて観察し、以下の評価基準に従って評価した。評価結果を下記表7に示す。
B:掃きムラ、画像メモリが僅かに観察される。
C:掃きムラ、画像メモリが明らかに観察される。
D:非常に目立つ程の掃きムラ、画像メモリが明確に観察される。
得られた各染色物の染色部分を分光光度計「スペクトロアイ(グレタグマクベス社製)」を用いて測色し、染色濃度を測定した。染色濃度は1.35以上であれば良好であることを示す。各実施例及び比較例は、いずれも染色濃度が1.4以上を示し、染色濃度はいずれも良好であった。
評価例1で得られた各染色物の白地部分を分光光度計「スペクトロアイ(グレタグマクベス社製)」を用いて測色し、下記の白地汚染の程度(=各染色物の白地部分の測定値-染色を行う前のダブルピケを同様に測色した値)を算出して評価した。評価結果を下記表7に示す。
評価例2に用いた各染色物において、測色を行った白地部分の汚染具合を目視にて観察し、下記する4段階の基準で評価した。評価結果を下記表7に示す。
A:白地汚染がほとんど観察されない。
B:白地汚染が僅かに観察される。
C:白地汚染されていることが明らかに観察される。
D:激しく白地汚染されていることが明確に観察される。
評価例4に用いた各染色物において、染めムラの具合を目視にて観察し、下記する4段階の基準で評価した。評価結果を下記表7に示す。
A:染めムラが無い高品質の染色物が得られている。
B:染めムラが僅かに観察される。
C:染めムラが明らかに観察される。
Claims (16)
- 少なくとも樹脂、及び、少なくとも2種類の昇華性を有する染料を含有する樹脂組成物の粉体であって、上記少なくとも2種類の昇華性を有する染料のうち、少なくとも1種類の染料のプロピレングリコールモノメチルエーテルアセテートに対する溶解度が0.2g/100ml~3g/100mlであり、少なくとも1種類の別の染料のプロピレングリコールモノメチルエーテルアセテートに対する溶解度が0.2g/100ml未満である、粉体。
- 少なくとも樹脂、及び、少なくとも2種類の昇華性を有する染料を含有する樹脂組成物の粉体であって、上記少なくとも2種類の昇華性を有する染料のうち、少なくとも1種類の染料のプロピレングリコールモノメチルエーテルアセテートに対する溶解度が0.5g/100ml~3g/100mlであり、少なくとも1種類の別の染料のプロピレングリコールモノメチルエーテルアセテートに対する溶解度が0.5g/100ml未満である、粉体。
- 上記樹脂組成物の粉体の総質量中に含有する、プロピレングリコールモノメチルエーテルアセテートに対する溶解度が0.5g/100ml~3g/100mlの染料の総含有量と、プロピレングリコールモノメチルエーテルアセテートに対する溶解度が0.5g/100ml未満の染料の総含有量との比率が、質量基準で10/90~90/10である、請求項2に記載の粉体。
- 前記少なくとも2種類の昇華性を有する染料のうち、プロピレングリコールモノメチルエーテルアセテートに対する溶解度が0.5g/100ml~3g/100mlである少なくとも1種類の染料が、アントラキノン系、キノフタロン系、アゾ系の各化合物から選択される染料であり、少なくとも1種類の別の染料が、アントラキノン系、アゾ系、アゾメチン系、インドフェノール系、インドアニリン系、ピロリン系、キノフタロン系、ナフタルイミド系の各化合物から選択される染料である、請求項2又は3に記載の粉体。
- 粉体からの染料の滲み出しの抑制に用いるか、または、染色性の改善方法において着色剤として用いる、請求項2~4のいずれか一項に記載の樹脂組成物の粉体。
- 請求項2~4のいずれか一項に記載の樹脂組成物の粉体と、荷電制御剤と、ワックスとを含有するトナー。
- 染料の滲み出しの抑制に用いるか、または、染色性の改善方法において着色剤として用いる、請求項6に記載のトナー。
- 請求項2~4のいずれか一項に記載の樹脂組成物の粉体における粉体からの染料の滲み出しの抑制方法。
- 前記樹脂組成物の粉体が、トナーである、請求項8に記載の染料の滲み出しの抑制方法。
- 上記樹脂組成物の粉体が、さらに荷電制御剤、及びワックスを含有するトナーである、請求項8または9に記載の染料の滲み出しの抑制方法。
- 請求項2~4のいずれか一項に記載の樹脂組成物の粉体を、着色剤として用いる染色方法における染色性の改善方法。
- 前記樹脂組成物の粉体が、トナーである、請求項11に記載の染色性の改善方法。
- 前記樹脂組成物の粉体が、さらに荷電制御剤、及びワックスを含有するトナーである、請求項11または12に記載の染色性の改善方法。
- 前記樹脂組成物の粉体を着色剤として用いる染色方法が、電子写真方式によって樹脂組成物の粉体を中間記録媒体に付着させ、該中間記録媒体に付着させた樹脂組成物の粉体が含有する染料を、被染色物に昇華転写することにより染色を行う昇華転写染色方法である、請求項11~13のいずれか一項に記載の染色性の改善方法。
- 請求項14に記載の染色性の改善方法において、電子写真方式によって樹脂組成物の粉体を付着させた中間記録媒体。
- 請求項11~14のいずれか一項に記載の方法により染色された物質。
