Definitions
- the present invention relates to a connector unit having a male terminal connector provided with a plurality of male terminals and a female terminal connector provided with a plurality of female terminals connected to the male terminals of the plurality of male terminals. .
- Patent Document 1 proposes a connector unit that can cut off the connection portions of both male and female terminals.
- male and female terminals are connected by housing fitting.
- the terminal housing of the male connector is provided with a blocking protrusion that protrudes from the front end surface of the terminal housing, and the blocking protrusion is brought into contact with the rear wall of the terminal housing of the male connector when the housing is fitted. .
- the creeping distance between adjacent male terminals 110 is a distance along the inclined surface 120 and the bottom surface 130.
- the creepage distance of the male terminal 110 is difficult to ensure a long creepage distance when the pitch of the male terminals 110 is small. As a result, there was a problem that the insulating property was lowered.
- the present invention has been made in view of the above, and provides a connector unit that can improve insulation even when the pitch between terminals becomes small while suppressing the occurrence of short-circuiting due to foreign matter. Objective.
- the connector unit of the present invention includes a plurality of male terminals, a front wall in which the plurality of male terminals protrude from the inner surface, and the width direction of each male terminal.
- a male terminal connector main body having a protruding holding portion protruding from the inner surface of the front wall along the side surface, a plurality of female terminals, and each female terminal of the plurality of female terminals
- a female terminal connector comprising: a partition wall that forms a storage chamber to be stored; and a female terminal connector main body having a front end portion in which an opening through which the male terminal can be inserted is formed.
- the male terminal connector and the female terminal connector are fitted with the front end facing the inner surface of the front wall, wherein the male terminal connector includes the protruding holding portion and the male terminal.
- the male terminal connector includes the protruding holding portion and the male terminal.
- Formed on both sides in the width direction A pair of protruding holding portions positioned between adjacent male terminals, each having a protruding inclined surface that is inclined so that a protruding height from the inner surface of the front wall decreases as the distance from the male terminal increases.
- a fitting recess is formed therebetween, and the female terminal connector is substantially parallel to the protruding inclined surface when the male terminal connector and the female terminal connector are fitted into the partition wall.
- An inclined partition inclined surface and a fitting convex portion protruding toward the front end portion and entering the fitting concave portion are formed, and the male terminal connector and the female terminal connector are fitted to each other.
- the projecting inclined surface and the partition inclined surface are in contact with each other or face each other, and the fitting convex portion enters the fitting concave portion, and the fitting convex portion and the fitting concave portion leave a gap. Hold open.
- the male terminal connector extends from the projecting inclined surface to the male terminal connector side extending from the projecting inclined surface in the arrangement direction of the plurality of male terminals.

- the shape of the joint between the front end of the female terminal connector and the front wall of the male terminal connector is complicated, foreign matter enters the connecting portion of the male terminal and the female terminal from the outside. It becomes difficult to do. As a result, a short circuit due to a foreign matter can be prevented, and thus insulation can be improved while suppressing the occurrence of a short due to the foreign matter.
- the male terminal connector further extends from the front wall inner surface side end of the projecting inclined surface, and the male terminal connector extends in the arrangement direction of the plurality of male terminals.
- the female terminal connector has a female terminal connector side extending surface provided to extend further from the partition front end side end of the partition inclined surface. For this reason, when the male terminal connector and the female terminal connector are fitted, the male terminal connector side extending surface and the female terminal connector side extending surface are in contact with each other, or face each other. Since the part formed only by the protruding inclined surface is configured by the protruding inclined surface and the female terminal side extending surface, the creeping distance can be further increased. As a result, the insulation performance can be further improved. In addition, since the shape of the joint between the front end of the female terminal connector and the front wall of the male terminal connector is further complicated, foreign matter is less likely to enter the connecting portion of the male terminal and the female terminal.
- the fitting concave portion has a concave shape corresponding to the rectangular parallelepiped fitting convex portion, so that the protruding inclined surface and the male terminal connector side extending surface are increased.
- the creepage distance By using the creepage distance, the depth of the fitting recess can be reduced and the width of the bottom surface can be shortened. For this reason, since the height of the rectangular parallelepiped projection part of the die piece used for insert molding of the fitting recess can be shortened and the width can be increased, the durability of the die piece used for insert molding can be increased. it can.
