More specifically, the present invention relates to a printing apparatus that executes printing, and printing apparatus that includes print data including document data to be printed via a communication network. The present invention relates to a network printing system including a print data transmission device that transmits data to a network.
- Printing methods for printing image data read from a document on recording paper include single-sided printing, double-sided printing, and aggregate printing.
- single-sided printing image data for one page is printed on one side of a single recording sheet.
- double-sided printing two pages of image data are printed on both sides of the recording paper, and in aggregate printing, a plurality of pages of image data are reduced and printed on one side of one recording paper.
- double-sided printing and intensive printing are conservative printings that consume less recording paper than single-sided printing. Therefore, as one of resource saving measures, a copying apparatus that actively uses double-sided printing or intensive printing is used. It has been proposed (for example, Patent Document 1).
- paper resources are effectively used by printing using a so-called backing paper that is printed on one paper surface and only the other paper surface can be used.
- Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 2004-228688 discloses a printing apparatus that compares printing conditions set in a PC with printing conditions that are stored in advance, and sends a message that prompts the PC to change the printing conditions when the printing conditions are different. Are listed.
- the operator of the PC can be informed that saving printing or backing paper printing can be used, and the printing conditions can be changed as necessary.
- a message prompting the user to change the printing conditions is only displayed on the PC, so that the operator of the PC can record the recording paper contained in the printing apparatus from the above message. It is not possible to identify the size of the. For this reason, there is a problem that it is difficult to know how to change the print settings on the PC and what printing conditions can actually be changed when using saving printing or backing paper printing. It was.
