前記線材挿通筒部の前記中心軸線側の外周面と前記中心筒部の周壁との間にリブを設けて前記線材挿通筒部の中心軸線側基部を補強していることを特徴とするグロメットを提供している。
前記線材挿通筒部は前記大径筒部の周壁に設けた開口の周縁から突出して前記縮径する先端側に向けて突設し、
該線材挿通筒部の基部より先端側を小径部とし、前記基部の外周に前記リブを設けると共に、前記小径部の先端を閉鎖端とし、線材の挿通時に前記閉鎖端をカットして開口し、線材を挿通可能としている。
図1乃至図6は本実施形態のグロメットを示す。
グロメット10は、図5に示すように、自動車のエンジンルーム(X)側から車体パネル30に設けた貫通穴31を通して車室(Y)側へと配索されるワイヤハーネスW/Hに取り付けて、車体パネル30の貫通穴31に装着するものである。本実施形態のグロメット10は、エンジンルーム(X)側からの押し込み操作のみで車体パネル30の貫通穴31に装着できるワンモーション型のグロメットであり、グロメット10の拡径側一端を押込側、縮径側他端を引出側としている。グロメット10はゴムまたはエラストマーで一体成形している。
フードオープナーケーブルを貫通させる線材挿通筒部22は、根元側の基部22aより先端側を小径部22bとし、基部22aの中心軸線L側の半周位置の外周面と引出先端側筒部17の周壁との間にリブ24を設けて、線材挿通筒部22の基部22aの中心軸線側を補強している。本実施形態では、前記中心軸線L側の半周位置の周方向の両側に一対のリブ24を設けているが、周方向に連続する1つのリブとしてもよい。
また、本実施形態では径が比較的細く車体係止凹部16側に倒れて噛み込みが発生しやすいフードオープナーケーブル挿通用の線材挿通筒部22の中心軸線L側の外周面にリブ24を設けているが、ウォッシャーホース挿通用の線材挿通筒部23の外周面にも必要に応じて同様のリブを設けてもよい。
フードオープナーケーブルを線材挿通筒部22に挿通するときには、前記カットライン25に沿ってカットすることにより線材挿通筒部22の小径部22bの閉鎖端を開口する。
ウォッシャーホース挿通用の線材挿通筒部23外周面のカットラインについても半周部分にのみ設ける構成としてもよい。

前記線材挿通筒部の前記中心軸線側の外周面と前記中心筒部の周壁との間にリブを設けて前記線材挿通筒部の中心軸線側基部を補強していることを特徴とするグロメット。 - 前記リブは前記線材挿通筒部の中心軸線側の半周位置に設けられ、リブは周方向の両側に設けた一対のリブ、または、周方向に連続する1つのリブからなる請求項1に記載のグロメット。
