Definitions
- the present invention relates to an accelerator pedal depression force control device that controls the depression force of an accelerator pedal of a vehicle.
- Patent Document 1 switches between a first operation method (for example, homogeneous combustion) on the high rotation / high load side and a second operation method (for example, stratified combustion) on the low rotation / low load side, which has higher fuel efficiency than the first operation method.
- a first operation method for example, homogeneous combustion
- a second operation method for example, stratified combustion
- the engine is switched to the first operating region.
- a technique is disclosed in which the accelerator pedal depressing reaction force (stepping force) is rapidly increased by a predetermined stepping force increase when entering the immediately preceding boundary operation region. The pedal force increase is canceled when returning from the boundary operation area to the second operation area.
- the technique of the above-mentioned patent document 1 is to release the pedaling force of the accelerator pedal and the increased amount with the boundary operation region as a boundary for the purpose of reducing the fuel consumption rate.
- the accelerator pedal is the main operating member for the driver to drive the vehicle as intended, and the operation feeling felt by the driver and the resulting influence on the drivability of the vehicle are the quality of the entire vehicle. Therefore, when the pedal force control device that contributes to this type of fuel consumption reduction is put to practical use, the reduction in fuel consumption and the feeling of operating the accelerator pedal or the operability of the vehicle are harmonized at a high level. It is necessary to let
- this kind of pedal force control device basically increases the pedal force of the accelerator pedal suddenly during the driver's acceleration operation. For example, when turning right or left after waiting for a signal, acceleration Even in a high demand situation, the driver's intended acceleration cannot be realized and the driver is likely to be dissatisfied. There is also a concern that the vehicle may simply be misunderstood as a vehicle with poor acceleration performance.
- the present invention provides an accelerator pedal effort control device that increases the accelerator pedal effort more than the base effort when the accelerator opening is greater than a predetermined accelerator opening threshold.
- an increase in pedaling force or an accelerator opening threshold for increasing the pedaling force is set.
- the increase in the pedaling force is set according to the travel resistance so that the increase in the pedaling force when the driving resistance of the vehicle is large is relatively smaller than the increase in the pedaling force when the driving resistance is small. It is characterized by doing.
- the increase in the pedaling force is set in accordance with the steering angle so that the increase in the pedaling force when the steering angle of the steering wheel is large is relatively smaller than the increase in the pedaling force when the steering angle is small. It is characterized by that.
- the accelerator opening threshold is set so that the accelerator opening threshold when the steering angle is large is relatively larger than the accelerator opening threshold when the steering angle is small. It is characterized in that it is set according to.
- the “steering angle of the steering wheel” is based on the actual detection value of the steering angle of the steering wheel, as well as changes in the steering angle in the future based on the operation of the winker and information on right and left turns by the car navigation system ( (Increase) may be predicted and estimated.
- the accelerator pedal depression force increases more than the base depression force in a region where the accelerator opening is larger than the accelerator opening threshold, so that excessive depression of the accelerator pedal is suppressed. Therefore, reduction in fuel consumption can be realized.
- the timing chart which shows the time-dependent change of the accelerator opening degree which concerns on 2nd Example of this invention, the steering angle of a steering wheel, the amount of pedal effort increase, and a vehicle speed.
- the timing chart in case the steering angle of a steering wheel increases after the accelerator opening increase of the said 2nd Example.
- the characteristic view which shows the relationship between a steering angle and driving
- This accelerator pedal depression force control device basically variably controls the depression force (operation reaction force) of an accelerator pedal 2 provided on a vehicle body 1 (not shown).
- An accelerator pedal position detecting unit as a means for detecting the opening degree (depression amount) of the accelerator pedal 2 provided in the pedal
- a pedaling force changing unit as a means for changing the pedaling force of the accelerator pedal 2 from the base pedaling force. In a region where the opening degree 2 is larger than a predetermined accelerator opening degree threshold value, the depression force of the accelerator pedal 2 is increased more than the base depression force.
- the accelerator pedal 2 is provided on the rotating shaft 3 and is configured to swing around the rotating shaft 3.
- One end of the accelerator pedal 2 is fixed to the vehicle body 1 and the other end is fixed. Reaction forces in the accelerator closing direction are applied by various types of return springs 4 fixed to the rotary shaft 3.
- One end of the rotating shaft 3 is rotatably supported by the vehicle body 1 via a bearing 5, and an accelerator position sensor 6 is provided as an accelerator opening degree detecting unit near the other end of the rotating shaft 3.
- the amount of depression of the accelerator pedal 2 (accelerator opening) and the opening of the throttle valve (not shown) of the internal combustion engine (not shown) are linked to each other, and the amount of depression of the accelerator pedal 2 is determined. Accordingly, the throttle valve opening of the internal combustion engine increases. That is, the fuel injection amount (and hence the fuel consumption amount) increases according to the accelerator opening.
- the pedaling force changing mechanism includes a variable friction plate 7 having a pair of opposing friction members 7 a and 7 b that apply frictional force to the rotation of the rotary shaft 3.
- One friction member 7 a is an end of the rotary shaft 3.
- the other friction member 7b is supported on the fixed shaft 8 so as to be axially movable and non-rotatable via a spline or the like.
- the fixed shaft 8 is fixedly supported on the vehicle body 1.
- an actuator for example, an electromagnetic solenoid
- 9 that urges the friction member 7 b toward the friction member 7 a is fixed to the vehicle body 1.
- variable friction plate 7 moves the friction member 7b in the axial direction (in the direction of arrow A1 in FIG. 1) by the operation of the actuator 9, thereby variably changing the frictional force between the friction member 7a and the friction member 7b.
- the operation of the actuator 9 is controlled by the control unit 10. Therefore, when the control unit 10 controls the operation of the actuator 9, the frictional force applied to the rotating shaft 3, that is, the pedaling force when the accelerator pedal 2 is depressed can be changed.
- the control unit 10 includes an acceleration sensor 11 that detects a road gradient from the inclination of the vehicle, an atmospheric pressure sensor 12 that detects ambient atmospheric pressure, An intake air temperature sensor 13 for detecting the intake air temperature, a vehicle speed sensor 14 for detecting the vehicle speed, a seat pressure sensor 15 for detecting whether an occupant is in the vehicle seat (not shown), and a shift of the transmission
- a car navigation system in which signals from various sensors such as a gear position sensor 16 for detecting a ratio are input, and the control unit 10 can obtain the current position of the vehicle and map information in the vicinity of the current position.
- a steering angle sensor 19 for detecting a steering angle of the Le the signal from the winker sensor 20 for detecting the operation of the turn signal is input.
- a continuously variable transmission with a continuously changing gear ratio can be used.
- an automatic transmission or a manual transmission of a type in which a stepped transmission mechanism and a torque converter are combined is used. There may be.
- the gear ratio can be obtained as the ratio of the rotational speeds on the input shaft side and the output shaft side.
- FIG. 3 schematically shows the characteristics of the accelerator pedal depression force in the above-described embodiment.
- the basic pedal force that is, the base pedal force
- the accelerator pedal force has an appropriate hysteresis in the opening increasing direction and the opening decreasing direction, and the accelerator pedal pressing force. It increases almost proportionally to the opening.
- a predetermined accelerator opening threshold reference symbol SL in FIG. 3
- the accelerator pedal depression force increases stepwise than the base depression force.
- the fuel consumption rate is low for the driver (that is, fuel efficiency is good).
- the increase in the depression force of the accelerator pedal 2 in the direction of increasing the accelerator opening may be canceled immediately when the operation direction of the accelerator pedal 2 is reversed in the direction of decreasing the accelerator opening. You may make it cancel
- FIG. 4 is a flowchart showing a flow of control according to the present embodiment.
- step S11 it is determined whether the steering angle of the steering wheel is equal to or greater than a predetermined angle threshold value ⁇ s. If the angle is less than the predetermined angle, the process proceeds to step S12, and the accelerator opening threshold is set to a predetermined reference value SL set in consideration of fuel efficiency. When the accelerator opening becomes equal to or greater than the accelerator opening threshold SL, the process proceeds from step S13 to step S16, and the predetermined pedaling force increase ⁇ F and the pedaling force are increased with respect to the base pedaling force.
- step S14 the accelerator opening threshold is set to a value (SL + ⁇ ) that is increased by an additional amount ⁇ with respect to the reference value SL.
- the accelerator opening becomes equal to or greater than the accelerator opening threshold (SL + ⁇ ) after the increase, the process proceeds from step S15 to step S16, and a predetermined pedaling force increase ⁇ F and the pedaling force are increased with respect to the base pedaling force.
- the opening degree of the accelerator pedal 2 is increased while the steering angle is increased, as in the case of a right turn or a left turn from a stopped state such as waiting for a signal.
- the accelerator opening threshold is changed to an increasing value (SL + ⁇ ). Therefore, the pedal effort increases until time t2 when the accelerator opening becomes relatively large. It does not occur, and rapid depression of the accelerator pedal 2 only with the base pedal force is permitted. Therefore, the vehicle can be accelerated more smoothly than the characteristic (characteristic indicated by the broken line) H1 of the first comparative example in which the accelerator opening threshold is not changed according to the steering angle.
- the release threshold SL ′ for canceling the increase in pedaling force is set in advance to a value lower than the accelerator opening threshold SL, but in this embodiment, the release threshold SL ′ also depends on the steering angle threshold ⁇ s. Is set. That is, if the steering angle of the steering wheel is greater than or equal to the angle threshold value ⁇ s, similarly to the accelerator opening degree threshold value SL, the release threshold value SL ′ is set to be relatively large, and between the accelerator opening degree threshold value SL and the release threshold value SL ′. The hysteresis is maintained at the same level.
- the accelerator pedal depression force increase ⁇ F is set according to the steering angle of the steering wheel. That is, the pedal effort increases in accordance with the steering angle of the steering wheel so that the pedal effort increase ( ⁇ F ⁇ ) when the steering angle of the steering wheel is large is smaller by a predetermined amount ⁇ than the basic pedal effort increase ⁇ F when the steering angle is small.
- the minutes have changed. More specifically, when the steering angle of the steering wheel becomes equal to or larger than a predetermined angle threshold value ⁇ s, the pedal effort increase amount is decreased by a predetermined decrease amount ⁇ from a predetermined reference value ⁇ F.
- the steering angle exceeds the angle threshold value ⁇ s in a situation where the opening degree of the accelerator pedal 2 is increased while increasing the steering angle, such as when turning right or left after waiting for a signal.
- T3 And at the time t4 when the accelerator opening exceeds the opening threshold SL, the pedal effort is increased, but the pedal effort increase at this time is changed to a lower value ( ⁇ F ⁇ ).
- ⁇ F ⁇ a lower value
- the accelerator opening exceeds the accelerator opening threshold SL and the steering wheel
- the steering angle exceeds the predetermined angle threshold value ⁇ s
- a reference pedal force increase ⁇ F is given, and then the steering angle exceeds the predetermined angle threshold value ⁇ s.
- the pedal force increase ( ⁇ F ⁇ ) may be reduced.
- the change rate (change speed) of the pedal effort increase is limited to a predetermined value, thereby reducing the pedal effort increment. Decrease gradually.
- the accelerator opening threshold for increasing the depression force of the accelerator pedal 2 or the amount of increase in the depression force may be changed. More specifically, when the vehicle speed when the opening of the accelerator pedal 2 starts to increase is low, a relatively large accelerator opening threshold (SL + ⁇ ) or a small pedal force increase (when the vehicle speed is high) ⁇ F ⁇ ). As a result, the accelerator pedal can be easily depressed when the vehicle speed is low, such as when turning right or left from a stationary state, and the vehicle can be accelerated in accordance with the driver's intention.
- the accelerator opening threshold value and the pedaling force increase are set small in anticipation that the steering angle is increased by operating the steering wheel.
- the accelerator opening threshold can be set to be large from the beginning, or the pedal effort increase can be set to be small.
- the driver's acceleration request (acceleration intention) is lower than when turning right or left as described above. It is also possible to prohibit changes in the accelerator opening threshold or the pedal effort increase. In other words, the accelerator opening threshold value or the pedal force increase corresponding to the steering angle described above may be changed only when turning right or left from a stopped state.
- the accelerator opening threshold is set to be relatively large or the pedal effort increase is set to be relatively smaller than when turning in the traveling lane direction.
- FIG. 8 shows the relationship between the steering angle of the steering wheel and the running resistance.
- the accelerator opening threshold value and the pedaling force increase may be changed according to parameters related to running resistance. Specifically, in order to prevent an excessive pedal force increase from being given even though the vehicle's driving resistance is large, the pedal force increase when the vehicle's driving resistance is large is the pedal force increase when the driving resistance is small. It is only necessary to set an increase in the pedaling force according to the running resistance so as to be relatively smaller.
- the running resistance in addition to the above-mentioned vehicle speed, when the road gradient (uphill slope is positive) is large, or when the mounted weight of the vehicle is large due to the number of passengers, the running resistance of the vehicle is large. is there. Therefore, the pedal force increase when the gradient is large is set relatively small with respect to the pedal force increase when the gradient is small, or the pedal force when the load weight is large compared to the pedal force increase when the load weight is small The increment may be set relatively small. Note that the magnitude of the running resistance based on these parameters may be used instead of the running resistance based on the vehicle speed (mainly air resistance or rolling resistance), or may be used in addition to the running resistance based on the vehicle speed. Also good.
- the slope of the road can be detected using the detection value of the acceleration sensor 11. Further, when the map information of the current position and the surrounding area can be obtained from the car navigation system 17, it is also possible to detect the road gradient of the current location based on the map information.
- the number of passengers in the vehicle can be detected by a signal from a seat pressure sensor 15 built in the seat.
- the pedal effort increase set based on the running resistance of the vehicle can be further corrected according to other conditions.
- the correction can be made based on the air density of the air taken in by the internal combustion engine, the operation mode such as the sport mode or the economy mode, the inter-vehicle distance from the preceding vehicle, the speed difference from the current vehicle speed to the legal speed, and the like.
- the correction based on the air density is to compensate for the decrease in the output of the internal combustion engine due to the decrease in the air density, such as when the altitude is high or when the outside air temperature is high.
- the altitude of the current location of the vehicle can be calculated using the detection value of the atmospheric pressure sensor 12, and when the current position and the surrounding map information are available from the car navigation system 17, It is also possible to detect the altitude of the current location based on the map information.
- the outside air temperature can be detected using the detection value of the intake air temperature sensor 13.
- the air density may be obtained directly from the detection value of the atmospheric pressure sensor 12.
- the current driving mode is a mode in which the driver's acceleration request is high
- the correction is made so that the pedal effort increase is reduced so that the acceleration according to the driver's intention is performed.
- a shift pattern of the automatic transmission is changed according to the selection of the operation mode.
- the vehicle driving mode can be easily determined from the position of this selection switch.
- the pedal force increase may be reduced.
- the driving style preferred by the driver is a driving style having a large acceleration demand. It may be determined that it is determined that the operation mode in which the acceleration request is constantly high is selected.
- the larger the inter-vehicle distance is corrected so that the increase in the pedaling force is reduced.
- the inter-vehicle distance is small, further approach to the preceding vehicle is suppressed / avoided.
- the pedal force increase is relatively increased.
- the inter-vehicle distance from the preceding vehicle is detected by an inter-vehicle distance detection device using a laser radar 18. This inter-vehicle distance detection device detects a distance from a preceding vehicle by irradiating a laser beam in front of the vehicle and receiving reflected light from the preceding vehicle.
- the car navigation system 17 obtains the current position and its surrounding map information. Obtain and detect the legal speed of the road that is currently running from this map information, and if the current vehicle speed is smaller than the legal speed of the road that is currently running, the greater the difference in speed to the legal speed, the more the pedal force increase. Correction can be made so as to decrease. This is for facilitating acceleration up to the legal speed while making acceleration difficult to occur above the legal speed.
- the amount of increase in pedaling force determined from the running resistance is further corrected by the air density, the driving mode, the inter-vehicle distance from the preceding vehicle, the difference between the current vehicle speed and the legal speed, etc.
- the pedaling force of the pedal 2 can be increased, and a smooth driving reflecting the driver's intention can be realized.
- the accelerator opening threshold value and the pedal effort increase are set mainly based on the steering angle of the steering wheel.
- the present invention is not limited to this, and the wheel angle that changes according to the steering angle of the steering wheel. May be detected and used, or other parameters such as the vehicle speed related to the above-described running resistance may be used instead or in combination.
- the accelerator opening threshold value and the stepping force increase are changed stepwise, but the accelerator opening threshold value gradually increases as the steering angle of the steering wheel increases. Or you may make it change continuously so that a pedal effort increase may become small gradually.
- the accelerator opening threshold value and the pedal effort increase are set based on the vehicle speed at the initial stage of the accelerator pedal 2 opening operation (depressed from the fully closed state or the intermediate opening) by the driver.
- the vehicle speed while the opening of the pedal 2 is increasing may be read sequentially, and the accelerator opening threshold and the pedal effort increase may be set and updated each time.
- the pedal effort is increased based on the accelerator opening related to fuel consumption.
- a threshold is set for the fuel consumption rate itself, and when the fuel consumption rate at that time exceeds the threshold, the pedal effort is increased.
- the present invention can be similarly applied to the increase.
- the position (depression amount) of the accelerator pedal 2 itself is detected as the accelerator opening, and therefore the depression amount of the accelerator pedal 2 and the accelerator opening are substantially synonymous. It is also possible to perform the control of the present invention by using, for example, the opening of the throttle valve linked to 2 as the accelerator opening.
- accelerator pedal depression force control device is not only applied to a vehicle having only an internal combustion engine as a drive source, but can be similarly applied to, for example, an electric vehicle or a hybrid vehicle.
