Description
バッテリーに蓄えられた電力はインバータ装置等のインバータで変換されてモータに供給され、モータを回転し、モータの回転は車輪に伝達され、車輪を駆動する。
従来、インバータとモータは自動車の別々の場所に搭載され、インバータの端子とモータの端子はワイヤーハーネスを用いて接続していた。
これに対して、最近、バッテリーから車輪までの電動駆動システムの小型化、低コスト化を目的に、インバータとモータとを一体化する構造が提案されている(特許文献1または2)。
図11は、特許文献1または2に記載のインバータとモータとを一体化する発明の概念図で、三相交流電動機(誘導電動機または同期機)を収納しているモータケース100に受電ボックス100Cが載置され、そこに三相交流電力を受電するモータ側端子100Tが取り付けられており、一方、自動車の他部に載置されている直流電源から直流を受電して三相交流に変換するインバータ200の出力端子200Tが取り付けられている。そして、インバータ200の三相交流電力を出力端子200Tからモータケース100側の受電ボックス100Cのモータ側端子100Tへ供給するために本発明が対象としている振動に強いコネクタが用いられる。
モータケース100とインバータ200を別々に組み立てた後に、インバータ200をモータケース100の近傍に設置するとともに、インバータ200の出力端子200Tとモータケース100のモータ側端子100Tをコネクタによって接続することにより、インバータ200とモータケース100は別々のモジュールとして組み立て製造することができ、一体化時にコネクタによって接続すればよいだけなので、製造が容易で、低コスト化が可能となる。
ところがこのような構成において、運転時の車体の振動やモータ自体の振動によるインバータとモータの振動の位相差がコネクタに加わり、コネクタに破損等が生じる恐れがあった。したがって、このような振動に耐えうるコネクタの開発が必要であった。
そして、そのような振動に耐えうるコネクタとして、特許文献3記載のコネクタが開示されている。
特許文献3記載のコネクタは、インバータ端子とモータ端子を接続するコネクタにおいて、インバータ筐体とインバータ端子と、モータ筐体とモータ端子とからなり、モータ端子はモータ筐体に固定して取り付けられているのに対して、インバータ端子は振動吸収部材を介してインバータ筐体に取り付けられるようにしたことを特徴とするものである。
このように一方の機器の端子がその筐体に振動吸収部材を介して取り付けられているので、一方の機器と他方の機器に位相差による振動が加わっても、その振動は振動吸収部材によって吸収されるので、コネクタ接続部に余分な負荷が加わることなく、破損等の悪影響を防ぐことができるというものである。
しかしながら、特許文献3記載のコネクタは、モータとインバータの組み付け公差によるバラつき時の吸収時の防水構造は有していなかった。したがって振動吸収部材を備えていても、モータとインバータの組み付け公差によるバラつきが大きかった場合に、振動が大きく変動したときはその変動を防ぎきれず、内部にパッキンを収容していてもそのパッキンは機能せず、防水性が不十分であった。
本発明は、上記課題を解決するためになされたもので、モータとインバータの組み付け公差によるバラつきが大きくても、振動に対して充分にシール効力を発揮できるパッキンを提供し、したがってそのパッキンを用いた防水性の良いインバータ端子台を提供することを目的としている。
また、第2発明は、第1発明において、前記パッキンが縦断面で見て2つ以上の山が形成されていることを特徴としている。
また、第3発明は、第1発明において、前記コネクタ端子に取り付けられた前記パッキンの両端にスペーサを設けたことを特徴としている。
第2発明によれば、2つの山によってパッキンは弾力性を備えて変形のストロークを大きく得ることができると共に安定良く納まることができる。振動に対して充分にシール効力を発揮できるパッキンが得られる。
第3発明によれば、大きな振動時においてもコネクタ端子が垂直状態を維持できるので、振動に対して充分にシール効力を発揮できる。
本発明の実施例1を説明する前提として、まず、本発明の適用されるインバータ端子台について説明する。
図1(A)と(B)は両方で本発明の適用されるインバータ端子台の分解斜視図を構成し、図1(A)はインバータ側の、編組を用いた電気伝導体を示し、図1(B)は図1(A)の電気伝導体を収容するインバータ端子台を示す。
図1(A)において、電気伝導体20はインバータ側で作られた交流三相電流をモータ側へ給電する3系統の電気伝導体で、それぞれインバータ側接続端子20Tと、インバータ側接続端子20Tに一方が接続された編組20Hと、編組20Hの他方をカシメているカシメ部20Sを備えたコネクタ端子20Cから構成されている。インバータ側接続端子20Tとコネクタ端子20Cとの間に可撓性のある編組20Hを介在させているので、バスバーの介在と異なってインバータ側接続端子20Tに加わった振動をコネクタ端子20Cまで伝えることはない。
そして、コネクタ端子20Cを包囲する本発明に係るパッキン30(後述)がコネクタ端子20Cに取り付けられている。
図1(B)において、インバータ端子台10は、3系統の電気伝導体20をそれぞれ収容する全体が合成樹脂で成型された容器で、3系統の電気伝導体20のインバータ側接続端子20Tをそれぞれ収容する端子収容部10Tと、3系統の編組20Hをそれぞれ収容する編組収容部10Hと図で見えないがコネクタ端子20Cを挿入するコネクタ端子挿入口10Cが設けられている。
図2は図1(B)のインバータ端子台10に電気伝導体20が収容された状態の斜視図である。図2において、電気伝導体20のインバータ側接続端子20T(図1(A))が端子収容部10T(図1(B))に載置され、編組20Hが編組収容部10H(図1(B))に載置され、そしてコネクタ端子挿入口10C(図1(B))に挿入されたコネクタ端子20Cがインバータ端子台10の下部から突出している。このコネクタ端子20Cは相手方であるモータケース100(図11)の受電ボックス100Cのモータ側端子100Tとボルトで取り付けられる。
図3はインバータ端子台10に電気伝導体20が取り付けられた図2の状態を示す縦断面図である。図3において、インバータ端子台10に取り付けられた電気伝導体20の編組20Hが編組収容部10Hに載置され、編組20Hの端部をカシメ部20Sでカシメているコネクタ端子20Cがインバータ端子台10から下方に突出している。
本発明に係る振動に強いパッキン30(後述)がコネクタ端子20Cに取り付けられてコネクタ端子20Cを包囲している。
図4(A)と(B)は本発明に係るパッキン30を説明する図で、図4(A)は斜視図、図4(B)は平面図であり、図5(A)と(B)は、図4(A)と(B)に示されるパッキン30の断面形状を説明する図で、図5(A)は図4(B)におけるA-A矢視断面図、図5(B)は図4(B)におけるB-B矢視図である。
本発明に係るパッキン30は、モータからの油漏れを防止する役目をするもので、全周囲が均一な厚さの従来のパッキンと異なり、一方向だけ厚さを異ならせているのが特徴である。図4(B)のA-A断面である図5(A)の肉薄部分の断面30Aと比べて、図4(B)のB-B断面である図5(B)の断面30Bは厚さが厚い肉厚部分として作ってある。そして、パッキン30は図5(A)と(B)の縦断面で見て2つ山(リップ部)が形成されている。
これら2つの山によってパッキン30は弾力性を備えて変形のストロークを大きく得ることができると共に安定良く納まることができる。ここでは山はパッキン30の前周囲に亘って2つ形成されているが、設置面積が広ければ3つ以上でももちろん可能である。
図6はインバータ200のインバータ端子台10がモータケース100に載置された状態を示す概念図で、薄い矩形平板状をしたコネクタ端子20C(図1(A))の薄い面を正面側にしている。インバータやモータに加わる振動の大きさをX・Y・Zの3次元軸(図2参照)で示すとY方向とZ方向の振幅が小さいのに対して、X方向だけが大きく振れることに本発明は注目して、パッキン30のX方向の厚さを充分に厚くしたのが特徴である。このようなパッキン30を各コネクタ端子20Cに設けたのが図1(A)である。
図6に戻って、大きなX方向の振動がインバータやモータに加わって、その位相差がインバータとモータ間に発生してインバータとモータ間に相対移動が起きても、本発明に係るパッキン30をコネクタ端子20Cに設けることによって、パッキン30の充分に厚い肉厚部分が相対移動分を埋めることをしているので、依然としてパッキン機能を果たすことができる。
これに対して、従来よりある既存の全周均一な厚さのパッキンはこのような充分な肉厚部分30B(図5(B))が形成されていなくてすべて肉薄部分30A(図5(A))なので相対移動分が起きたときこれを埋めることができず、パッキンが接触面から離れてしまい、パッキン機能を果たすことができない。
また、全周が充分な肉厚部分30B(図5(B))だけからなる均一なパッキンを用いることも容易に考えられるが、これだと相対移動分が起きてもパッキンが接触面から離れることはないのでパッキン機能を果たすことができるが、逆に、(1)装置が大型化する。(2)Y・Z方向の厚さが無駄となり、省資源に逆行する。(3)一番の問題は、パッキンをコネクタ端子に取り付ける際に大きな挿入力を必要とし、作業性が落ちる。といった問題が発生する。
本発明のパッキン30を各コネクタ端子20Cに設けることにより、モータとインバータの組み付け公差によるバラつきが大きくて、インバータとモータ間に大きな相対移動が起きてもパッキン30の充分に厚い肉厚部分30Bが相対移動分を埋めるので、依然としてパッキン機能を果たすことができ、それ以外の方向には本発明の検証により大きな振動は発生しないので薄い肉厚のもので充分である。したがって、装置が大型化せず、省資源となり、パッキンをコネクタ端子に取り付ける際の作業性が落ちることもない、といった副効果が得られる。
以上のように、本発明のパッキン30を用いれば、如何なる振動に対してもパッキン機能を有効に発揮したが、ただし、特定の条件下でのみパッキン漏れが発生することが判った。その原因を追究したところ、その特定の条件を突き止めることができた。
そこで、本発明のパッキン30の課題について図7(A)~(C)で説明する。
図7(A)~(C)はパッキン30の機能を説明する断面図で、図7(A)は非振動時のパッキン30の状態を示し、図7(B)は振動によりコネクタ端子20Cが垂直状態を維持して変位した時のパッキン30の状態を示し、図7(C)は振動によりコネクタ端子20Cが傾倒した時の各パッキン30の変形状態を表している。
図7(A)の非振動時、パッキン30は全周囲の接触面に接触しているので全く問題なく、パッキン機能を発揮している。図7(B)の振動時、コネクタ端子20Cが垂直状態を維持して変位しているので、図から判るように、パッキン30は全周囲の接触面に接触しているので、これも同じく問題なく、パッキン機能を発揮している。
ところが、図7(C)のような振動時にコネクタ端子20Cが傾倒したようなときは、パッキン30は山の一部が接触面から離れるので、実施例1の肉厚のパッキンと言えども、パッキン機能を有効に発揮できなくなる、ということが判った。
実施例2は実施例1のこのような課題を解決するためになされたもので、振動してもコネクタ端子20Cが図7(C)のように傾倒しないようにすれば上記課題は解決できることに着目して、パッキン30の上下両端に、上スペーサ40Uと下スペーサ40Sを設けるようにしたのである。
図8(A)は実施例1のパッキン30、図8(B)は実施例1のパッキン30とその両端に設けられた上スペーサ40Uと下スペーサ40Sとを表すコネクタ端子20Cの裏側から見た斜視図である。上スペーサ40Uと下スペーサ40Sはいずれも同じ材質でできた同一形状のもので、平面図で長円状をして中心にコネクタ端子20Cの貫通する孔をあけた形状をしている。
図9は実施例1の各パッキン30(図1(A))の上下両端に上スペーサ40Uと下スペーサ40Sを取り付けたインバータ側の電気伝導体である。
図9において、電気伝導体20はインバータ側で作られた交流三相電流をモータ側へ給電する3系統の電気伝導体で、それぞれインバータ側接続端子20Tと、インバータ側接続端子20Tに一方が接続された編組20Hと、編組20Hの他方をカシメているカシメ部20Sを備えたコネクタ端子20Cから構成されている。そして、コネクタ端子20Cを包囲する本発明の実施例1に係るパッキン30と実施例2に係る上スペーサ40U、下スペーサ40Sがコネクタ端子20Cに取り付けられている。
図10(A)と(B)はこのような上下のスペーサ40U、40Sの機能を説明する断面図で、図10(A)は非振動時のパッキン30の状態を示し、図10(B)は振動時の各パッキン30の変形状態を表している。
図10(A)の非振動時はパッキン30は全周囲の接触面に接触しているので全く問題なく、パッキン機能を発揮している。図10(B)の振動時はコネクタ端子20Cが孔の中で変位して傾倒しようとしても上下のスペーサ40U、40Sによってコネクタ端子20Cは上下を規制されているため、垂直状態を維持したまま変位せざるを得ず、したがって図のようにパッキン30は全周囲の接触面に接触することとなり、図7(C)のように傾倒しないので、問題なくパッキン機能を発揮することができる。
また、パッキン30は上下のスペーサ40U、40Sによって挟まれているので、パッキン30をコネクタ端子20Cに取り付ける際のガイドの役目もするため、作業性が向上する。
この上下のスペーサ40U、40Sがなくて、パッキン30だけをコネクタ端子20Cに取り付けるときは、パッキン30が捲(めく)れるようになるので、作業性が著しく落ちることとなる。
本発明の実施例2の上下のスペーサ40U、40Sをパッキン30の両端に設けることにより、インバータとモータ間に大きな相対移動が起きてコネクタ端子20Cが傾倒しようとしても上下のスペーサ40U、40Sによってコネクタ端子20Cは垂直状態を維持したまま変位するので、実施例2によって実施例1のパッキン30は問題なくパッキン機能を発揮し続けることができる、といった効果が得られる。

Claims (4)
- モータのケースに取り付けられるインバータの出力端子と接続されるインバータ側接続端子と、前記モータの受電端子に給電するコネクタ端子と、を有し、前記インバータ側接続端子と前記コネクタ端子とを接続して成る電気伝導体を備え、前記コネクタ端子は平板状をしており、前記コネクタ端子の全周囲に亘ってパッキンを取り付けたインバータ端子台であって、前記パッキンの全周囲のうち前記平板状端子の平板側に当接する部分の肉厚を他の部分の肉厚よりも厚くしたことを特徴とするインバータ端子台。
- 前記パッキンは縦断面で見て、2つ以上の山が形成されていることを特徴とする請求項1記載のインバータ端子台。
- 前記コネクタ端子に取り付けられた前記パッキンの両端にスペーサを設けたことを特徴とする請求項1記載のインバータ端子台。
- 外形が長円形円筒形をしたパッキンであって、前記長円形円筒の中心を通り長軸方向に延びる貫通孔を備えたコネクタ端子用パッキンにおいて、前記パッキンの全周囲のうち長軸側に平行な面のパッキン部分の肉厚を他の面の部分の肉厚よりも厚くしたことを特徴とするインバータ端子台用パッキン。
