Abstract

 この発明は、電線に対する圧着端子の圧着高さを軸方向に大きく変えることなく、端子付電線の機械的強度の確保と、電線と圧着端子との間の接触抵抗の低下を両立させることを可能にする技術を提供する。この発明に係る圧着端子10は、電線の導体に圧着される電線圧着部14を有する。電線圧着部14は、導体の根元側に圧着される第1の圧着部14aと、先端側に圧着される第2の圧着部14bとを有し、電線圧着部14の内側面に食い込み促進のための凹部が形成される。第2の圧着部14bに形成される凹部13bは、端子幅方向に分割され、または第1の圧着部14aに形成される凹部よりも浅い。あるいは、凹部13bが省略されて第1の圧着部の凹部のみが形成される。
