Abstract

この発明は、電線に対する圧着端子の圧着高さを軸方向に大きく変えることなく、端子付電線の機械的強度の確保と、電線と圧着端子との間の接触抵抗の低下を両立させるための技術を提供する。この発明に係る圧着端子10は、電線の導体22に圧着される導体バレル16を有する。導体バレル16は、その曲げ加工に伴って導体22に密着する内側面17を有する。この内側面17は、そのうち導体22の先端側部分に密着する面17bが導体22の根元側部分に密着する面17aよりも内方に突出する形状を有し、その曲げ加工により導体22の先端側部分を根元側部分よりも高圧縮する。
