Abstract

 エンドシールが不要であることにより、強度および耐久性に優れ、突起もない色素増感光電変換素子を簡単な製造工程で製造することができる色素増感光電変換素子の製造方法を提供する。色素増感半導体層と対極との間に電解質を有し、色素増感半導体層の外側に第1の外装材が設けられ、対極の外側に第2の外装材が設けられた色素増感光電変換素子を製造する場合に、第1の外装材および第2の外装材のうちの一方または両方の所定の部位に封止材および電解質を形成し、その後、第1の外装材と第2の外装材とをそれらの間に封止材および電解質を挟んだ状態で大気圧以下、電解質の蒸気圧以上の気圧下で貼り合わせて封止材により接着する。
