Abstract

　３相ブラシレスモータで、１相に異常が発生したときに、残りの２相における駆動電流の大きさと方向を制御して回転駆動を継続させる。３相ブラシレスモータ１２における各相コイルの駆動系統の通電異常を検出する異常検出手段２７と、操舵トルクに基づいて操舵補助電流指令値を算出する操舵補助電流指令値算出手段３１と、コイル駆動系統の異常が検出されないときに、操舵補助電流指令値に基づいて３相電流指令値を算出する正常時モータ指令値算出手段３３と、各相コイルのうちの１相の駆動系統に通電異常を検出したときに、操舵補助電流指令値に基づいて残りの２相のコイルを使用する相電流指令値を算出する異常時モータ指令値算出手段３４と、正常時と異常時モータ指令値算出手段で算出した相電流指令値とを選択する指令値選択部３５と、選択した相電流指令値に基づいて電動モータ１２を駆動するモータ制御手段３６とを備えている。
