Abstract

【課題】エアバッグの膨張展開中における圧力損失を低減することができる、又は乗員の体格に合わせてエアバッグ装置の衝撃吸収力を効率よく発揮させることができるエアバッグ、エアバッグ装置及びエアバッグの排気方法を提供する。 【解決手段】本発明のエアバッグ装置は、所定の条件でガスを発生させるガス発生器１と、ガス発生器１に接続されて膨張展開されるエアバッグ２と、エアバッグ２を収容するリテーナ３と、を備え、エアバッグ２は、エアバッグ２の一部に外部に突出した部分を形成する凸部４と、凸部４に形成されたベントホール５と、一端が凸部４に接続され他端がエアバッグ２の内部に接続されたストラップ６と、ストラップ６の他端をエアバッグ２の内部に案内するための挿通孔７と、を備え、ベントホール５が、ストラップ６で凸部４を引っ張った時に、凸部４とエアバッグ２とが重なり合う領域に配置されている。
