Abstract

 高分子電解質膜と、この高分子電解質膜に該膜を挟んで接合されている2つのガス拡散電極とからなる、固体高分子型燃料電池用の膜-電極接合体において、ガス拡散電極を構成する少なくとも一方の触媒層であって、イオン伝導性バインダーがイオン伝導性基を有する重合体ブロック(A)とイオン伝導性基を有さない重合体ブロック(B)からなり、両ブロックが互いに相分離するブロック共重合体であって、粒子径が1μm以下である該ブロック共重合体から主としてなり、重合体ブロック(A)が連続相をなし、かつ、ブロック共重合体と触媒粒子との接触部分がイオン伝導性基を有する重合体ブロック(A)からなる該触媒層;膜-電極接合体及び固体高分子型燃料電池。
