Abstract

 本発明の燃料電池は、高分子電解質膜(1)と、高分子電解質膜(1)の一方の主面に順に積層された第1アノード側触媒層(2A)及びアノード側ガス拡散層(4)と、高分子電解質膜(1)と第1アノード側触媒層(2A)との間に設けられた第2アノード側触媒層(2B)と、高分子電解質膜(1)の他方の主面に順に積層されたカソード側触媒層(3)及びカソード側ガス拡散層(5)と、を備えた膜-電極接合体(10)と、アノード側セパレータ(20)と、カソード側セパレータ(30)と、を備え、第2アノード側触媒層(2B)が、硫黄化合物を吸着する触媒を含んでいる。
