- aluminum pigments currently marketed for metallic pigments have an average particle size of 10 m or more (see, for example, Patent Documents 1 and 2), fine nozzles (diameter 30 m or less) of inkjet printers, It is very difficult to pass through a filtration filter.
- these aluminum pigments have a drawback that it is difficult to obtain a specular gloss because the particle diameter is too large.
- the particle size of aluminum pigment is reduced, it reacts with the surrounding moisture, so it is very difficult to reduce the particle size to 1 ⁇ m or less by conventional grinding and atomizing methods.
- the average particle size of the pigment used in the ink is 200nm or less! /.
- metal colloid particles having an average particle diameter of several tens of nm cannot reproduce the metallic luster.
- stable colloidal gold particles have a particle size of about 10 to 20 nm.
- the color of the Lloyd dispersion is purple.
- it is possible to stably disperse a gold colloid having a larger particle diameter by adding a protective colloid but in this case, a metal thin film cannot be obtained unless the protective colloid is decomposed and removed.
- the method using metal colloid requires some post-treatment after printing.
- heat treatment when heat treatment is performed, there is a drawback that the printing media is very limited.
- pressurization there is a disadvantage that the printing media is limited, and there is an equipment burden that requires pressurization equipment (see, for example, Patent Document 3).
- Metal colloids are usually precious metals (Au, Ag, Ru, Rh, Pd, Os, Ir, Pt) are used, but it is difficult to use for cost decoration, decoration, advertisement printing, etc.

- the thickness of the protective layer is not particularly limited, but is preferably in the range of 50 to 150 nm. If it is less than 50 ⁇ m, the mechanical strength is insufficient, and if it exceeds 150 nm, the strength becomes too high, so that pulverization and dispersion becomes difficult, and peeling may occur at the interface with the metal or metal compound layer.
- a color material layer may be provided between the "protective layer” and the “metal or metal compound layer”.
- the color material layer is introduced to obtain an arbitrary colored composite pigment, and can contain a color material capable of imparting an arbitrary color tone and hue in addition to the metallic luster and glitter of the metallic pigment used in the present invention. If so, it is not particularly limited.
- the color material used for this color material layer may be either a dye or a pigment. In addition, known dyes and pigments can be appropriately used.

- the thickness of the metal or metal compound layer is preferably 5000 nm or less. When it is 5000 nm or less, even when the composite pigment base material is rolled up, it is excellent in preservability that hardly causes cracking and peeling. In addition, pigments are preferred because they are excellent in glitter.
- the force includes a structure in which a peeling resin layer and a metal or metal compound layer are sequentially laminated on both surfaces of the sheet-like substrate surface.
- the metallic pigment of the present invention can be obtained by peeling the metal or metal compound layer of the composite pigment base material from the sheet-like base material with the release resin layer as a boundary, pulverizing and refining. it can.
- the peeling, pulverization, and dispersion treatment methods are not particularly limited, but a method that does not use media is preferable.
