UNITED STATES PATENT OEEICE.
HENRY CLAY BASOOM, OF LANSINGBURG, AND FRANCIS RITCIIIE, Oll TROY, NEW YORK.
DESIGN FOR A HEATING-STOVE.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 20,190, dated October *7, 1890.
Application filed September 8, 1890. Serial No. 364,351. Term of patent 3%: years.

Be it known that we, HENRY CLAY BAS- ooM and FRANCIS RITCHIE, citizens of the United States, residing, the seid BASOOM at the village of Lansingburg, county of Rensselaer, and State of New York, and the said RITCHIE at the cit5T of Troy, in said State and county, have invented and produced a new and original Design for Heating-Stoves, of which the following is a specification, reference beinghad to the accompanying drawing, forming a part thereof and consisting of a single figure, affording a view in perspective of our newly-designed stove.
The leading feature of our new design consists of the ornamentation of the various parts of the stove.
The base A is provided with a plain horizontal border-band A', extending to the lower edge of the base and with a continuous bead or pearling border-line A2 along its upper edge. The ccmbustion-chaniber B rises from the base and is provided on its front with two doors B and B2, one above the other, each of which has a central flambeau ornament B3 and foliated scrolls B4, extending one from each side of the torch across the mica openings. On either side of the doors is a vertical panel B, having a oliated erna ment thereon, consisting of a. iambeau BB, supported by a vase B7, and conventionalized lea-tage B9. The legsE have their upper ends formed of open scroll-Work, the openings E passing through the right and left wings E2 of the leg. The main scrolls Es on each wing are centrally connected by the horizontal band E4. The lower end of each leg or foot is decorated with a foliated scroll E5. Projecting from the upper part of the combustion-chamber is a flange provided with the plain borderbend C, with the pear-ling border-line C along its upper edge. A plain border-band D extends around the lower part of the dome D', the upper part of the dome being ornamented by the Open foliated scrollworlr D2.
W'het we claim as new is- 1. The ornamental design for a heatingstove, herein shown and described, consisting of e bese having a plain border-band extend- 5o ing to its lower edge and a pearling borderband along its upper edge, a combustionchambcr mounted upon such base and having vertical side panels with a flambeau and flambeau-supporting vase ornament, a door 0n the front of such combustion-chamber having a. arnbeau ornament with foliated scrolls branching therefrom, a dome surmouuting such combustion chamber. provided with a plain border-band extending to its lower edge, having its upper portion ornamented by open foliated scroll-Work, and a flange at the junction of such combustionchamber and dome, having a plain borderband with an upper pearling border-line.
2. In a design for a heating-stove, the de sign on the front of the combustion-chamber, herein shown and described, consistingr of two doors,one above the other, provided with ambeau ornaments having folinted scrolls branching therefrom, and a vertical panel on either side of such doors, having thereon a. iiambeau and flambeau-supporting vase 0rnement.
3. In a. design for a heating-stove, the design for a leg, herein shown and described, consisting of open scroll-work on the upper right and left wings of the leg, a horizontal bend centrally connecting the two wingscrolls, and a foliated scroll upon the foot of the leg.
