DESIGN FOR A COOKING-STOVE.

SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 20,105, dated August 26, 1890.

Application filed July 28, 1890. Serial No. 360,221. Term of patent 7 years.

To all whom it may concern.-

3e it known that we, HENRY CLAY Bsscon and FnANoIs RITCHIE, citizens of the United States, residing, the said BASCOM at the village of Lansingburg, county of Rensselaer, and State of New York, and the said RI'rcIIIE at the city of Troy, in said State and county, have invented and produced a new and original Design for Cook-Stoves, of which the fol- Io lowing is a specification,reference being had to the accompanying drawing, forming part thereof, and consisting of a single figure, affording a view in perspective of our newly,- designed stove.

The leading feature of our design consists in the ornamentation of the various parts.

A is the base of the stove, and A the legs. The base on one side is provided with ornamental raised portions, consisting of ribs forming the two wave-line ribs A'ircspectively extending from the middle portion to the ends of such base, one rib to one end and the other rib to the other end. The wave-line ribs each have a foliatcd scroll terminal A 2 5 about midway between the main terminal scrolls. The legs are provided on their upper ends with a pair of similar scrolls A", each of which is connected by a foliated marginal rib A", extending down the side of 0 the leg,with a smaller scroll terminal A near the lower end of the leg.

The oven-door B is provided with accntral shield-like ornament 1%,having on the upper sides plain marginal ribs B and on the other sides foliated marginal scroll-shaped ribs B also inner foliated ribs 13, parallel with the marginal ribs, and a circular rib ll in the middle of the shield-like ornament.

\Vhat we claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is- 4o 1. The ornamental design for a cook-stove herein shown and described, consisting of raised portions forming on the base two wavelinc ribs, respectively extending from the middle portion to the ends of such base, one rib to one end and the other rib to the other end, each rib having foliated scroll terminals, and a branch with a similar scroll terminal located between the main terminal scrolls and forming on the logs and oven-door toliatcd scrolls. 5o

In a design for a cook-stove, the ornamental design on the O\"011-(l001l1(}10l1lSllOWll and described, consisting of raised portions forming a shield-like ornament outlined on the upper sides by plain marginal ribs and on the other sides by foliatcd scroll-shaped ribs having inner foliatcd ribs parallel with the marginal ribs, and a circular rib in the middle of the shield-like ornament.

In a design for a cook-stove, the orna- 6o mental design for the legs herein shown and described, consisting of raised portions forming on their upper ends a pair of foliated scrolls, each of which is connected by a foliated marginal rib extending down the side of thelcg, with a smaller scroll terminal near the lower end of the leg.
