To all whom, it may concern.-
Be it known that 1, CHARLES J. AHREN- FELDT, a citizen of the United States, residing at the city of New York, county of New York, and State of New York, have invented and produced a new, original, and ornamental Design for a Covered Dish or Similar Article, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, forming a part thereof.
In the said drawings, Figure l is aside view of a covered dish, showing my design. Fig. 2 is an end view of the same.
The sides of the body A are curved to describe the arc of a circle having a radius approximately equal to the height of said body. It has a slightly-flared base E and handles D at either end. These handles are fluted and provided with a central band from which projects leafed ornaments and are joined to the body by portions having similar leafed orna ments. The handle Oof the cover Bis ornamented in a manner similar to the handles D, While the upper surface of the cover is rounded, so that at its greatest length and diameter it describes approximately the arcs of circles the radii of which are equal to the length and width of the said cover, respectively.
That I claim is The ornamental design fora covered dish or similar article embodying the slightly-flared base E, curved handles D at either end and C of the cover, the plain convex cover B and body A, substantially as herein shown and described.
Signed at the city of New York, in the county of New York, this 29th day of January, 1902.
