DESIGN FOR A COVER-DlSH.
T0 on whom it may concern.-
Be it known thatLCHARLEs EDWARD H AVI- LAND, a citizen of the United States, residing at the city of Limoges, in the Republic of France, have invented and produced a new and original Design for a Cover-Dish or SimilarArticle of aTable-Service, of which the following is a specification, reference beinghad to the accompanying drawings, forming part thereof, and in Which Figure 1 is a top View of a cover-dish hearing my design. Fig. 2 is a side elevation of same, and Fig. 3 is a vertical section of a portion of same on the dotted line 3 3 of Fig. 1.
The leading features of my design consist of the ornamental form and configuration of the dish and its cover, substantially as illustrated in the accompanying drawings.
In the drawings, A designates the body of the dish, and B the cover therefor, the said cover having a raised ornamental center 0, bearing a handle D. The rim of the cover B bears the ornamental band E, having at definite points the ornate figures F, and inward beyond said band E the cover 13 bears the looped ornamentation G, extending entirely around the cover.
The sides of the body of the dish bear the ornamental band II, ornate figures I, and looped ornamentation J, corresponding with the band E, figures F, and looped ornamentation G of the cover B. The sides of the body of the dish terminate in a well-defined line K, whence the bottom of the dish extends inward and downward on graceful lines to the base L.
At opposite ends of the body A are handles M M.
\Vhat I claim is- The design for a cover-dish; substantially as shown and described.
