DESIGN FOR A COVERED DISH.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 26,430, dated December 22, 1896.
Application fil d November 12, 1896. Serial No. 611,891. Term of patent 14 years.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, GUSTAYE C. C. Your, a. citizen of France, residing in the city of Limoges, in the Republic of France, have invented and produced a new and original Design for 3. Covered Dish, of which the following is a. specification.
Figure l is a side elevation of a covered dish, showing; inydesi zn. Fig. .3 is a top view of the same.
Theleading features of in design are a covered dish the body of which is bowl-shaped and provided around its lower portion with a. foliate wreath or band and above the some with eroekets or like ornaments, on d the cover of which has shell-like ornalnentations at its center and representations of sprigs or tendrils at either side of the shell-like formations.
Referring to the drawings, A indicates the bowl-like body of the covered dish, which is provided with an inwardly-tapering base a, the lower edge of which is formed with helieiform curves or volutes b, above which tapering base the body of the dish is provided with foliations C in the form of a band or wreath encircling the body. Above the wreath or foliations C the body A of the dish is provided at each side with erockets or similarly-shaped ormiinentations I), extending in opposite directions, while the rim (4 of the body is sca lloped, and downwnrdlyextending flutes, ribs, or corrugations rt" are formed on the bodybelow the rim.
