Be it known that 1, CHARLES J. AHREN- FELDT, a citizen of the United States, residing at the city of New York, county of New York, and State of New York, haveinvented and produced a new and original Design for a Covered Dish or Similar Article, of Which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, forming a part thereof.
In the said drawings, Figure 1 is a side View of a covered dish, showing my design. Fig. 2 is a plan of the same.
The body of the dish is of ovate form and is provided with a base I), which has a series of indentations B in its periphery, giving it an undulated eonlour. From these indentations in the base t'nrrowsA extend upwardly to the rim oi the body on slightly-divergent lines, giving the said body and rim an undulating appearance. A wave-like line of escalloped ornamentation C extends around the lower part of the body at the point Where the base is joined thereto, and a series of small acorn-like ornaments D extends downwardly therefrom.
The cover of the dish is divided into concave panels by the radial ridges E, extending from a point near the center to the rim thereof. The central part of the cover is snrronnded by an elliptical ring of ornamentation, similar to the ornament-aliens (i D of the body.
The handles G at either end of the body and G at the center of the cover are fluted and have a band or collar 9, with beaded ornaments in the center.
What I claim is- The design for a covered dish or si milar article substantially as herein shown and described.
Signed at the city of New York, in the county of New York, State of New York, this 14th day of March, 1900.
